Phew, what an ending! I had no idea of the affiliations with that set up Hinckley did. It was very good to see it play out. As you can see with my night actions of Doctor, first night I protected Brody/Waterbrick Down, as although I was sure he wasn't the "town cop" AND the investigator role, he had been a good, forceful, logical player on that day. I toyed with protecting dannylonglegs/Gavin as more of a "roleplay" thing, but decided it wouldn't be as beneficial to the town. And then Gavin was killed, which meant that I would die the next day, although to be honest, as I said before, I wasn't aware we were the actual Lovers role, especially as I was already the Doctor. MacK was so convincing as Town that I protected him the second night! Well done! My rationale behind that was as Gavin had started the voting against Marcus, he may have been targetted and Mack had started the voting that day. So I was a poor Doctor and didn't get a chance to really do any PMs to anyone else as Gavin was killed off so early and I followed suit. That stopped us two communicating as well. However I did enjoy the experience as my first online Mafia game and would love to take part in another one now that I have Passed. Thanks to everyone who took part and especially to Hinckley, whose twisted vision was always entertaining.

Great review Cloney, lots of detail showing the new colours and printed pieces! This may be off topic, so I apologise, but can I ask what your issues with POTC were?

Lovely review and I have to echo everyone else about the fantastic poster at the end. It's perfect and fits in with the style of the theme brilliantly!

Free LEGO promotion with UK Sun and News of the World

If you search for Lego on eBay UK right now it's just ridiculous. Pages and pages of promos. Sad really. I bet 95% of them don't get bought. -
2? You scalper! hehehe Glad to help!

Hi buddy, yes it's the Tesco Extra off Shrivenham Road. The display is in the Toy section, close to the Bargain shelves on the back wall. The display isn't big, they had perhaps 3 sets of each left on it. The prices were clearly marked on the display so it's not a pricing error.

My Tesco had that OFD, and all three sets were the same price! So Captain's Cabin, Isla de Meurte and Fountain of Youth were all £9.97 each!

I have to admit I didn't realise myself and Gavin were specific The Lovers rather than just having a relationship affiliation (husband/wife etc) like the other town members. Now I regret even more not protecting Gavin on the first night action! I was a rubbish Doctor, didn't save anyone, and died of a broken heart! I don't fancy the Town's chances with the rate of killings as they are. Good luck everyone else and root out the Mafia scum for me and Gavin and all the others! Oh and obviously many thanks to Hinckley for arranging this all and being very patient with som eof my questions. The Fabuland setting is amazing and the pictures tell so much of their own story. Great work!

My lovely colleague at work brought in Jack's boat and the Black Pearl for me this morning, I was really pleased after yesterday's fiasco -
I've not long been out of my Dark Ages, and yet I've bought sets from many different themes including Atlantis, City, Star Wars, Prince of Persia, Pirates, Pharaoh's Quest, POTC and just this afternoon ordered a couple of small Kingdoms sets! Is it normal to flit between themes, dabbling in what takes your fancy? Or do you guys and girls stick rigidly to a theme?

But the guy is a LEGO certified professional, we couldn't do any of this better!

Are POTC sets too expensive?
Rumble Strike replied to Swashbuckling buccaneer's topic in LEGO Pirates
I tend to get most of the currently-available sets when they go on sale or if a shop has offers like "Buy 2 Get 3rd Free". The latter is what I used when I got my two POTC sets, The Mill abd London Escape. So yes, I think POTC is expensive, but I think most LEGO is in the UK. -

You should watch what you say when you talk about my poor, sweet Gavin, Randy! I can't let you say things like that without taking action. You have been suspicious to us all on both days now! Vote: Randy Rabbit (Alex the Great} -
I have to say I love the SAW stuff, incredible work!

Don't rub it in buddy! Kidding, it's a nice review. I didn't know you were a Swindon lad too. -

What a shambles! I went to Swindon TRU with my voucher at 11.15 (the store opens at 11) because yesterday I'd not had a problem getting the X-Wing just after opening time. The car park was as busy as I have ever seen it - and I've done pre-Xmas shops there! The harrassed customer service girl told a bunch of us queueing that they'd run out of Jacks (bear in mind this is just 15 minutes after opening) and said that there had been queues outside the store from 8:30! Madness! I was going to ask a family member to get the remaining ones from the promotion as I am in work, but now I am not going to bother. Not worth the hassle. -
Mafia School: Fabuland Housewives - Day Two
Rumble Strike replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
We have to vote, but again there seems to be no real evidence to go on. I really don't know what to make of the multiple killers - whether one is a vigilante and not acting for the Mafia, doesn't seem to be a concern. People are still dying. -

The X-Wing polybags were going very quickly, probably why my TRU is very strict at enforcing the one toy per voucher per customer rule. -

I, I don't know what to say, or what to do. Gavin was so warm and funny and caring. I feel lost without him. I can't believe that we are now beseiged by killers. Two murders in one night! I'm glad Marcus is dead, as he's part of the problem. We must all rise up and be part of the solution. We must find more Mafia scum, for Gavin and Holly! -

That'll be a real shame as I sent away for the Mirror promotion. That one they had run out of each figure by the time I went from work. If that's the case for this Sun promotion it's just the weekend two for me, as I have time to get them. -
Oh wow, some of those bring back memories! I was born in 1975 so classic Town, Space and early castle were what I remember most. Galaxy Explorer (which I managed to remake at Christmas with my old tubs of LEGO) was the absolute pinnicle in my childhood, but stuff like the Snack Bar I remember with great fondness.
