  1. @degenerate, @Saberwing40k, @I_Igor Wow, that's a bunch of information! Thank you for so many details. The toy fairs are going to be interesting this year. I suppose there will be a new Supercar. Also with Porsche exclusive wheels?
  2. Hui, I was holding my breath after I posted my comment. I wasn't sure how you would understand my critics. Thanks for being polite with me. First of all: It's a nice bike! I think the long wheelbase is one of the characteristics of this bike, low and long. It's not realistic, but it shows the mechanics, so I would leave it like it is. Same with the carburetor, it looks gorgeous with the white brick, almost like a paper element. Keep the soul of the bike as it is. About the cardan element: I was struggling at the same place and was always missing a fitting part. So I was wondering how you solved the problem. And about legal or illegal connections: I really have no clue if a connection is okay or not. But I think in an official set, I would have announced your connections as being illegal. In an official set I want only good connections, double braced axles and a clever architecture. I a MOC, there can be more week connections, like single braced axles or panels held by only one pin. Therefore I want to have a better look or functions. But I don't want to bend or squeeze any pieces. To find an end: I still like your bike, so try to eliminate some errors or work out some details, but leave the main concept as it is.
  3. Nice bike and good detail solutions. But I also think, the wheelbase is a bit too long. The advantage of a two cylinder motor is it's compact dimensions, so you can move the swing more to the front for a better handling. Your creation is missing this advantage. And has only one (good looking) carburetor for two cylinders? l'm not the person who wants to judge illegal connections, but after you mentioned you don't want to use any, I think I found some ... - The cardan element is impossible to build legal. - I don't know if the usage of a rod for holding the rear light is legal, but it can be rotated at least. And you can see, that the small panels are bended, because of an illegal connection. - I don't see that the 4L axle at the cardan axle is used in a proper way. Same with the 5L as a kick stand. - The front light looks great, but isn't attached legal. You can see, it's pulling itself out of the upper connection. - I'm also not sure about the fixation of the small white side panels. - It looks unfinished in some places. You can find unused pins here and there and bad braced axles. I think Lego designers have to avoid that. But it's always nice to see Technic bikes. Thank you for your creation.
  4. I would like to see a more technical competion. Something like walking on two legs, step up specific steps or some industrial line, that can assemble an easy model. PF required, Mindstorms forbidden. Or something like a mechanical calculator, input for two numbers, show the result.
  5. Nice vehicle. I like the shape, but I don't like the front lights. Shouldn't a racing car have a front spoiler instead? Looks a bit cutted off ...
  6. Last night I tried to reverse engineer 42075. After a while one liftarm fell into the other, and I'm quite happy with the result. Nothing new, but the chassis is too wide. A solid set, good parts, imho. I think I found a part in a new color. I suppose we'll get 4 pieces of the T-Beam 3x3 in red.
  7. @dellock6 Thank you and please excuse not checking before posting.
  8. Thank you for these nice comments. 42036 - 1000V4 Custom Racer - 2015 After my coming out of my dark age, this set was my first motorbike. While I maybe could have handled the color scheme, the bike looks somewhat unfinished to me. So this one became my first MOD. I added more fairing parts, foot pegs, handlebars, front and rear brakes, four exhaust tubes not connected to the fairing (!) and modified the swing. I think, the heart piece of a motorbike is it's motor. That's why I always add a knob where I can rotate the motor and see it's movements. This was my first attempt to build a gearbox, to change between motor and rear wheel movement or only the motor. Here it's done by pushing and pulling the drive shaft on the right side. From this angle, 42036 doesn't look bully at all. I hope, you can enjoy the pictures.
  9. Somehow I thought it would be time to show you some of my creations. In this first post you will have an overview about the things to come. I will try to post them chronological, but sorted by theme. Let's start with my favorites: Motorbikes: 42036 - 1000V4 Custom Racer - 2015 My first technic motorbike and my first MOD. While I wasn't too excited about the original color scheme, the model itself looked like an Italian bike to me. Italian bikes are red! So I started modding it and also implemented a simple gearbox. 42036 - 1000V4 Black Edition - 2015 My second MOD. A naked bike, limited black edition, improved gearbox. Besides a clutch, switched by a lever, this bike has all what's necessary for street legality. 42036 - 1000V4 Half Fairing - 2016 This one has only a half fairing, same gearbox, but stronger shocks. It was my first test with system bricks in technic. 42036 - 1000V4 Full Fairing - 2016 Just the same as before in a nice color scheme. I also checked white/red, but I liked this one more. And for all who mentioned 42036 was too soft, this one has the hard shocks in front and double shocks in the rear. Quattro Stagioni My first MOC. Big bore V4, fat tires and a hand shifted gearbox. Gamberini My unfinished project. Planned is a gearbox and AWD. The Flat Bad My try to build a flat motorbike. Foot pedal shifting. 8051 - Triple Trouble TT The Italian bike. Still a 3 cylinder, but gear driven cam shaft and a gearbox. It was my first time I could create a foot peg shifting, which was done by gears. 42063 - BMW 1200GS This is my interpretation of a BMW GS1200R. This is the first time I tried the new 3L clutch in a gearbox which is foot peg shifted. BMK K2000 Flying Brick My rebrickable entry for BMW of the future, a hover bike. I won, but missed the validation date. LEGO was so kind to send me a (unsigned) price. Radicale My latest MOC. Still a bit of a WIP ... More MODs 8043 - white Excavator - Full RC 42024 - Container Truck - Full RC 42048 - Mine Loader Extreme 42035 - Monster Mine Truck - Full RC 42056 - Porsche GT3RS in white More Vehicels 42005 meets 9398 - Monster Crawler TC12 - His Fortressness Maybe some can remember that one ... Some Planes Triple Wing Fighter Fokker DR1 - Red Baron I pray for updates.
  10. Long time after TC12 I finished mine. The Zebra Ant: While i don't have all parts in the correct color, I had to improvise sometimes. Maybe not my favorite building style, but really worth a build! Interesting angles an techniques. Thanks for sharing. And with different wheels ... the Skunk Ant. Thanks a lot for these great FREE instructions.
  11. Somehow I'm getting more and more excited, I really like the lineup of 2018H1. Makes me really really curios what will happen in H2 (Nurnberg Toy Fair?). I'm also curios how the new catalogue will look like and the official prices. Can someone remember when we had the first leaks last year?
  12. I think so too, the two LAs will be connected below the surfac, because the yellow axle must be at least 7L. But I'm a bit disapointed, that the red Air Intakes have no function. They are blocked by the small L shaped liftarm ... but still a great model. At the moment I'm really happy with the 2018 sets, much butter than first half of anniversary 2017.
  13. Good conversation, a lot of things I didn't knew. Above, only one state is written in lower case ... .makes me laughing instantly And this one does it! The container comparison is very interesting.
  14. Opening side doors are explaining the huge gap in the roof. Back to the shock again, it looks red to me, but hard to identify. The only red shock I know so far, is the on from 42056 and they are hard ones. Has there been soft or medium red shocks in the past? I thought, grey is soft, yellow (and red) is hard.
  15. I tried them same and had also to do some thinking about the steering. I think it will be done by a 5L liftarm, no gear rack. While I don't have access to my Lego collection at the moment, I don't have any wheels around me. So my attempt looks a bit ugly and has wrong colors and using different parts. My container looks okay to me, except a missing rim. Please excuse the bad quality.
  16. Thanks for that. After digging a bit deeper in this topic I found the stickers, but I still can't decrypt them. 42077 looks a bit like a Wabra design. To me, Kossmann has more outside-the-box ideas and Milans design has a better "whoosh" factor, while Uwe is more konservative. Just my opinion.
  17. The lineup for 2018H1 looks much better than the 40th celebration year 2017. At least to me. Do we know the name of the designers? The Mack Truck says MR42078MK, does that mean it could be a co-production between Markus and Milan? And the Rally Car has KRN on his stickers. Kossmann, Reindl, ???. While I'm not a System Brick guy, can someone tell me if the circled parts are new?
  18. Wow, I haven't seen any pictures so far, but this is a really nice shelf model. The main color will be DBG, right? If so, there are a lot of parts in this color I haven't seen so so far. New panels and 3L axle connector with pin hole. This looks much better than 50 shades of blue in 2017. The mixture of system and technic pieces give it a lot of details, I like it. For a shelf model. But DBG is a good color and even the technic details look good. The technical functions looks pragmatic to me, nothing new. But it will have a good playability and performance. Nice parts in new color, great looks and intuitive functions - cool set. True eye catcher after 2017.
  19. This contest is over and I made it to the third place! Thanks to all who voted for my MOC, thank you for bringing me to the podium. I'm very proud of my bronze medal and my new tags! Thanks to EB and specially to Jim and Milan for this great contest. I have to say again: Wow, what a thrilling race! Since I haven't posted much, after my entry was done, I think it's time to bring this to an end. I want to start with a list of the existing videos. First, there are two trailers, only half a minute each. Then there is the entry video, but I made a mistake, so it had a bad quality in the beginning. Here is my entry video with better quality. And I found some time to create another video, more retrospective, only one and a half minutes ... And some more photos ... again. A view to the left side, where you can see most of the panels. Well, from one side, there is a total amount of 82 panels, if I counted right. Another view to the rear, nothing new, okay pic. And a detailed cockpit view. Steering wheel with horn button, pedals for Pandas short legs, crosshair, side displays, mirrors and the guns. And a last one: Robert
  20. I said it and I will say it again: Wow! What a tough race! Congrats to all entrants and all their nice MOCs. I think there was only one entry that could really win, but the rest had at least a good chance to get the podium. After the contest is over, I really can see the finishing line and how close it was. I have a picture where I see the Mean Machine in front of me, but I couldn't get it. And @Doug72 in my gearbox. With his really funny vehicle and sound I hope everyone else enjoyed this contest as much as I did. Even @thekitchenscientist can be proud, I liked his entry and the idea behind it. But sometimes there are Max-Verstappen-days. Thanks to all voters, even if they haven't voted for me (maybe next time, I'll try to get better). Congrats to the winners.
  21. Voting opend on 18th of October, one week later we had the 25th and two weeks laker we had first of November. If I'm counting right, closing time will be between two and three weeks. That was mentioned different. Closing date will most likely be somewhere between one and two weeks.
  22. This contest really felt like a race to me. Having my car in the grid doesn't meant that the work was done. You have seen mostly detail photos, but only a few of the complete model. I was really busy at the end to get my video completed and published. Direct after the upload I jumped into my car and was away from an Internet connection for the last days. Thos contest is almost over, but I still have more photos: Good luck to all contestants and thanks to all voters. It is a great race! Thank you. Yes, I saw that too, but it was too late.
  23. @Didumos69 Hammerhead in the HoF!
  24. Uno's Car: His Fortressness Since he was a young panda, Uno's destiny was to become the most fearless, fast and famous Wacky Wheels Race Driver of all time. He wants to be on top! The beginning of his career is well known, since you can choose him in the start screen of the original Wacky Wheels game (quite simple, same with the game graphics). But during the races he wasn't too fast. So he changed his cart in later games - as you can see by the different colors - but still wasn't fast enough to really catch the lead in the race. Then Uno decided to build his own Race Cart! Main concept: - 42048 inspired chassis and wheels - HUGE! - POWERFULL! - WEAPONS! - MORE WEAPONS! - And again a new color combination So he came out with a Windtunnel Concept, inspired by the Stipa Caproni Aircraft, which had the correct amount of "Wackyness" to give him the correct advantage over his opponents in a Wacky Wheels Race. "His Fortressness" is not generating a Slipstream, it's blowing the opponents behind it away with it's huge front propeller. Even in corners, where the air blow will be guided by the double rudder. The vehicle is propulsed by two BigBlock V4 engines, which makes it quite fast and while it's rear wheel steered, it's very maneuverable. On the rear wheels are also wheel cutters, to prevent being overtaken. RC functions: - front wheel drive, 1x L motor - same motor turns the front propeller - same motor turns 2 fake V4 engines by chain drive on front axle - rear wheel steering, 1x servo motor - same motor is turning the dual rudder - 1. weapon, bomb layer, 1x M motor, 3 shots - 2. weapon, oil layer, 1x M motor, 3 shots - 3. weapon: double machine gun, 1x L motor, 2x5=10 shots - 4. weapon: double booster, 1x L motor Manual functions: - On/Off switch on front - laser shots, LEGO, 2 shots - LEGO Duplo Panda removable - shovel, broom and tools removable And the video: And the link to the entry topic:
