Remember, you can only ATTACH the island to the two corners. Like any corner module. so it depends, if you are talking about setting the the gardens on the left, and NC on the right and then the island on the far left (island, gardens, NC left to right in a straight line) Then, no, you can't attach it. there are no connecting bricks right there, its water. you cold set it there and add a little bridge. Otherwise you attach the island behind the two on either side. -

Original NC actually looks dull (not boring - washed out, colorless) next to the gardens. -

I just picked up 71735 Tournament of Elements for the golden Lloyd figure and I noticed that the green set of weapons included in NC Gardens is also included. I thought that was interesting. -

can anybody read this one? I've compared it to the alphabets in the Ninjago movie book and can't make heads or tails of it. -

For downloading Youtube videos, or converting them to mp3 I recomend https://www.y2mate.com/ In other news - I just ordered my NC Gardens (and a monkie kid set. Still got a few of those to go.) And, based on the build video, the balconies are definitely removable, so the Gardens can be added to either side of the o.g. NC. -

You could extend the sides out so the corner is longer. I just disagree here. I think NC looks good from either side, but best on the corner. But, the docks is just boring on from the front side. Again, I just don't agree. The docks is too short, doesn't look good attached to the city. If you like the way it looks, good for you. I just feel its a good idea, poorly executed. I want to see sets with different layouts too, I just think the Docks doesn't work when connected to NC. -

After looking at the picture for awhile longer, I think I was wrong about the overlap. But, if those parts are removable, why didn't the exploded view show that? I still hope they are removable, but I'm waiting until we can actually get the set in hand. You have Ninjago City, and the docks still in the box? -

I'm lucky in that regard. I must live close to the US distribution center, I've gotten packages from Lego.com in 2 days. I might have mine as soon as Saturday. -

I hope you are right. But, I look at the section above and don't see a join. I even see an overlap where a join would have to be. I do hope I'm wrong. We'll see when the set is available. I hope you are right. We'll see. -

Continuing my love/hate relationship with Ninjago City sets. When the first NC set came out I was SUPER excited. I was working a job with a lot of free time and spent most of that watching youtube videos from people who were lucky enough to get early access, and playing with Stud.io (or whatever it was at the time) playing with building my own versions. The weeks we had to wait were excruciating. I even scraped together enough money to buy 2 of them on release day. I built one straight up and the other one I build mirrored with some different colors. I had planned on building my own Version, but when I designed the first level on Stud.io and priced it on Bricklink, the first level cost as much as buying the entire city. So, I went ahead and bought the second and made the changes I wanted. Its still one of my all-time favorite sets. Then came NC docks. I was never very excited about this set. I eventually bought it just before it went out of print. I just don't care for it much. NC was meant to be viewed from the corner on. Adding the docks to it doesn't help. The docks are meant to be viewed from the back (The dock side, which is in all the pictures and the box). And, its too short overall. It just doesn't look good joined to NC. They also made the docks so they could be joined one either side so it doesn't really look good either way. Now, we have NC Gardens. The first I heard about this was a few days ago when my Lego catalogue arrived. I had no clue this was coming out, and with the VIP release I only have to wait a few days. Very excited. I am buying one right away. I've considered buying 2, and I still might get a second later, but that would mean spending money I have set aside for something else. The Gardens is way better than the docks, but still not as cool as NC itself. My problems with the Gardens are that the two balconies don't look removable to me, which means that you can really only connect it to the original NC on one side, unless you add the docks and/or the shrine between them. I've seen the picture with NC, the docks, the shrine, and the garden and it just doesn't look good to me. Once I have the gardens I'm going to try out some different layouts and see what I can do. But, I'm thinking of repurposing the docks into another corner building and turning the shrine into a rooftop section. -
Very nice. can I use it to catalog my minifigures? Could I use it to catalog my off-brand figures?

This is AWESOME!!!!

Is this even for real? Are we actually getting Minions Lego?
-
I recently picked up 71780 - Gamer'd market. I don't watch the Ninjago series, and have only seen the movie. So I don't know much about Ninjago except that I buy the occasional set when I think they are cool. I really like the minifigures in this one, that's why I bought it. I like that we get what is basically a Kill Bill minifigure, a much-needed (IMHO) pink ninja (Now, if we could just get a Fuchsia ninja) But I absolutely LOVE the fact that we get a Jim Belushi Samurai Futaba figure. Seriously, google that.

Is there a better piece of software for creating instructions than Lego Digital Designer? I would expect instructions to build from the bottom up but LDD seems to build completely random bits.
-
Thanks, but I already found his page with more info: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmtBY4y6 No glue, but at least 2 illegal build techniques. I'm currently building an expanded pirate coaster with the loop.
-
I'm dying to add a loop to my lego Pirate Coaster and have been looking at ways to do it. This one is good, but too big and not round enough for my taste. This one - Is the one I really wanted to copy, but I've come to the conclusion that they are cheating. I think they glued some parts together to make it work. Which is too bad as its really cool. I've come up with a design for a piece that would cross-over from the vertical to side-ways orientation that would allow it to work, but am not sure how to make that work. Does anyone have any ideas of how this can work with legal building techniques? Just figured it out. Instructions to follow.

The Lego Movie 2 - The Second Part 2019 Set Discussion
turk187 replied to Fenghuang0296's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Did some math on these sets. Price per brick is a good indicator of the value of the set, although it does not tell the whole story. Number of minifigures also helps, and some sets have more large parts than others. 7-8 cents per brick is really good. 14 or so tends to behigh. 10-12 seems to be about average for licensed sets. I don't include Unikitty or Metalbeards in the minifigure counts. and some sets have characters made from other bricks. Your mileage may vary. -

The Lego Movie 2 - The Second Part 2019 Set Discussion

I'm just popping in after seeing the images on the shoplego.com site and, haven't read all 28 pages of this topic, but I wanted to weigh in. All the sets except the Duplo set are on my must have list. I hope we get a good minfigure set (I am sure we will, but haven't seen it yet.) Did everybody notice that the queens name is "Watevra Wa'Nabi" as in "Whatever you want to be"? Do we think this is all the sets? I don't see a really big one like the SeaCow. I am wondering if the plot will be about the clash between Finn going into his "dark Phase" while his sister is just starting to get out of Duplo into "real" Lego.
