  1. Did everyone just move over to this thread from the 2017 one?
  2. Finally at a point where I can show off what I've been working on the past week. As you can see, I bought two copies of Ninjago city and am building a MOD. The moment I saw NC I new it could never set next to any other modular, but I couldn't bear for it to stand alone. So, I built the 1st one straight up and then modded the second one so its a mirror of the first. Still a work-in-progress. All the building on the MOD are empty at the moment as I wanted to block them out first. The red room next to the Cherry tree will need a better window design, The shop next to the comic shop has the window at the wrong height. Lots of things to work on. The sushi restaurant on the MOD is going to be rooftop garden and the giant com tower is going to be a temple. But this is as far as I've gotten. and then... I've only just started on the middle section. The street level here will start off with two more shops like the comic shop (10x10 with a step down door) and then a 12x12 shop in the middle. Above that will be one big shop. Then the high rise section will be either two or three houses. Lots of work to be done here, designing and Bricklinking.
  3. The Ninjago Movie Display Case is now unavailable on Amazon. Does anyone know anywhere else to get one? There aren't any on shop.lego.com and google was unhelpful.
  4. My Ninjago Cities are here! Squeeeee! Good thing i didn't spring for priority shipping since they only took 2 days anyway.
  5. Where do you get those display cases? Also, I got a flyer in the mail about Force Friday that says that the largest Lego set ever will be revealed on September 1st. Its sad to think that Ninjago City will only be 3rd largest for a few days before bumping to 4th.
  6. So, whos already ordered there Ninjago City's? Mine should be here Saturday according to USPS. Which is Awesome as I have Sunday and Monday off to build them.
  7. I don't know whos whos past Lloyd and Garmadon. But he said those three were Nya, Cole, and Jay. Maybe he misidentified one of them?
  8. He head swapped Nya for Cole and Jay, but I don't see Zane anywhere in a training outfit..
  9. I ordered my 2 Ninjago city sets. Wanted to pay extra for priority shipping, but it was just too much extra. So, I'll have to be patient. Still, hopefully they'll still be here by Saturday so I can spend my weekend building awesome stuff.

  11. Thats interesting. Do you have any figures for just America? and, what are AFOL's? Where did you get the figures?
  12. This is the video I've been waiting for
  13. I hope so. I have money set aside and am hoping to have them in hand by Saturday.
  14. Does anyone know for certain that we will get early VIP access to the Ninjago City on the 16th, or at all?
  15. I have the Bounty and think its one of the best ships they ever buiilt. Id get that one. If you like the modulars get the Square, it fits wonderfully into a street full of modulars. Based on your concerns, I'd avoid Ninjago city. I don't think you'd like it and it doesnt fit with much else. (I have the Assembly Square and have saved enough that I'm buying 2 Ninjago City sets.)
  16. Im sure lego also factors in the amount of plastic in each set as well as piece count, plus they probably factor the popularity of each line, as well as licensing costs. Im certain the price difference in Star Wars and Super heroes VS everything else isn't just because of licensing costs, its because SW is keeping Lego afloat and the sets are just the most popular stuff they have so there is a premium on that, with Super Hero stuff probably being the number 2 seller and I'd gues Ninjago and Nexo are probably towards, if not at, the bottom. I'm guessing that the lower prices on Ninjago movie stuff is because they are hoping that a good movie combined with awesome sets at a more reasonable price will result in an ongoing sales spike. (I don't actually have sales figures or anything, I'm just going by my gut based on how much space stuff gets on shelves and how often I see stuff going out the door)
  17. Does your signature quote refer to Star Wars? Or something else?
  18. Shows up in the UK but not the US version.
  19. That should be fine. but a parts list so i can bricklink them wold also be nice. Or, even just a pic with the extra pieces and I can look them up myself.
  20. I know its a lot to ask, but if you could do a how-to with parts list I would be greatly appreciative.
  21. I just bought the fire mech. can anyone tell me what parts I'll need to change the legs?
  22. I stopped off at my local Target to pick up the temple of the ultimate ultimate weapon and noticed something - Ninjago stuff seems to be really reasonable priced. 99$ for 1403 pieces. A couple of other sets, a jungle adventure set and a fire boat set were 118 and 119$ each with piece counts in the 8 and 9 hundreds, and the flying fox batman set was 130$ for 955 pieces. I get the batman set being higher as it licensed, but the jungle adventure stuff? thats pure Lego. Also, I swung by Wal-mart and noticed something distressing - they moved the entire lego section into the back of the toy section.
  23. the sign in the spinjitsu training set says "dojo wu"
  24. Concluding my adventures with Target. Sunday afternoon I went back to Target. Still nothing. Pissed off I went home and ordered Destiny's Bounty from Toys r us via Ebay (shop.lego.com was sold out.). Monday afternoon I go back to Target for one last time. Finally they have some stuff out. Not Destiny's Bounty which was the one I wanted most, but I got Spinjitus training, street chase, and master falls. Which were the small ones I wanted. Not going back to Target again.
  25. Continuing my ongoing quest to get damn near any Ninjago movie sets: tuesday or wednesday I went to Target and they told me friday. This morning at 830 (friday morning) I went there to see if they'd been stocked overnight (target does not have overnight stockers as they are closed from 10 to 8) The lady in the toy isle told me they would be out by 6 as they had just come in on the truck that morning and were one the pallets all shrinkwrapped together. I come back at 545, not one thing was different in the toy isle. The guy there goes to the back room and all the pallets are untouched. Calls the guy who is in charge of toys who is very appologetic, says they are short handed because of call ins and no shows. can't pull the pallets right now as they have so much unshelved stuff they have no place to put them. Expects to have his full crew on Saturday, promises that he will make the pallet with the lego stuff the first one he pulls down tomorrow. I want to scream in frustration. Its amazing that as bad as my Target experience has been thus far they are in fact much better than Wal-mart. I will go back tomorrow after work and try again. The toy guy said he would pull aside the 4 sets I want and I could call him directly after 3 tomorrow. He took pictures of the labels with his phone. He geniunly seemed like he wanted to help, but had issues that had to be dealt with first. I'll look up the wal-mart prices and see if they'll match them Call Wal-mart. They are as helpfull as barbarian invaders at a tea party. I don't think there is a UCS falcon coming out. I can't find anything about it beyond an april fools post and some articles in May right after that. Does anyone have better information?
