  1. I just "finished" (being very careful about how I use that word because I'm bricklinking the parts when it's true) a 9 - suit MOC Hall of Armor. I considered using the mircofig in it as a sort of "blueprint" type thing that Tony could hold or look at, or sit on a desk near computers. Sort of like how artists sometimes use wooden models with points of articulation. Granted Stark is more the guy to have all that computerized, but it's a cool fig. I'd say we're definitely getting a new suit for Civil War, and possibly even a new War Machine depending on how much presence he has in the movie. There's a lot of hubbub among my friends about the Extremis suit being a potential for Civil War based on the ending of Iron Man 3, so that might be cool. I'd also love a lot of the House Party suits to be available through more promotions. Silver Centurion looks great, but we know we all want the space suit with all that white and gold.
  2. Flesh on licensed, yellow on other LEGO stuff. Anything that's a LEGO original has to have their minifigs in yellow for me. Maybe it's a head categorizing thing. I look at my Boba Fett or Iron Man fig and think "Oh, this is Boba Fett / Iron Man in LEGO form", but you can look at a LEGO baker (etc) and think "this is a LEGO baker". If that makes sense. It's an association thing for me.
  3. One of my friends brought that up over lunch the other day (she hates Chris Pratt) and I was shocked that I hadn't known he voiced Emett. Robert Downey Jr. first came to my mind, but in a cheating way because of all the different Iron Man suit figs. If that counted though pretty much any main character in Star Wars would take the cake.
  4. Here's to hoping we get a similar cape in red/black instead of just a stock red cape, that would make for a great look because although I like how the fig looks, all the black / grey metal makes it appear a bit plain, so I want some more color.
  5. These are incredible and ridiculously creative. I love the "flightpath" of Cap's shield you did with the clear part, and what can I say about QS speed trail? Ridiculously creative. Awesome work.
  6. I did a double take when I realized the roof was made of Technic parts. Really clever!
  7. They could just be throwing it in for collectors. The Miles Morales minifig in the new Carnage set isn't really related to anything in particular, movie or otherwise. Just tied to the comics. A really cool choice for collectors but it doesn't scream "Miles Morales will be in Civil War" or anything.
  8. Give me a UCS Enterprise, model, LEGO. Do it.
  9. Hello everyone! After coming out of my dark age of LEGO not but a month ago, I finally arrived here after going on the warpath for a consistent LEGO forum community. I was a LEGO addict up until high school, at which point I lost interest due to not having any kind of disposable income save for holiday money. LEGO has always held a fond place in my heart, but even up through college I would look at sets and think to myself "now if only I could convince myself to spend x dollars on that set" Well, no longer! I just graduated college and have decided to throw myself back into LEGO. Forcibly, if I have to. After buying the Hulkbuster Smash set from the latest run of Marvel sets (I'm not even a big Marvel fan aside from the cinematic universe - the justification for buying comics was much like LEGO... no money!) after which I promptly decided that night to get on BrickLink and buy every printed Iron Man figure (minus the Toy Day one, obviously). I've had LDD on my computer throughout college and enjoying being able to build sets without making a monetary commitment, and now I'm using it to fool around and try my hand at MOCs - first up is a Hall of Armor, which has been done a thousand times already by other people, but is fun nonetheless. I'm more of a minifig guy than a set guy, although I love MOCs, especially medieval themed ones. I never realized how collectible minifigs were until I looked up the price and saw that I had Cloud City Boba Fett (the whole set, actually, plus the Millenium Falcon that lands on its pad) just sitting in my room in the same "I'm going to carbon-freeze Han Solo" pose he had been in for about 12 years. My birthday is coming up this week and next on my list is the UCS Slave I! I look forward to posting with all of you. Zodack
  10. They're slowly but surely getting there, what with Mk 33 Silver Centurion coming later this year as yet another game pre-order bonus. I would kill for a set that had a bunch of Iron Man figs in it based on all of his suits.
