LEGO Ideas Discussion
StarWars8Spoiler replied to The Real Indiana Jones's topic in General LEGO Discussion
This guy literally just took his project from 2014 and resubmitted it. He didn't even change the description or the build itself, and he didn't add anything. -
LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

You're right. I think they just included 7541 2x4 bricks to illustrate the piece count. Anyway, it ends a small part of the speculation, which downgrades my migraine to a minor headache. -

Not really. We now have a definite piece count and a clear image of some of the parts included in the set. -

senteosan has reposted his previously failed Jurassic Park project on Ideas: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/6842b9e2-5363-476a-abb2-e339917517dd Didn't the mods there say this sort of stuff wasn't allowed? It's literally the exact same as the old one that got 10k votes back in 2014 but didn't pass the review. -
LEGO Star Wars 2018 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!

Few observations/nitpicks regarding 75208 Why the hell is Yoda's Hut called Great Playset Yoda's Home? Is that a flick fire missile in the top right of the playset I see? Why is it there? If it's not a flick missile, could it be an activator for a light brick? There's an obviously missing tan windshield on the left side of the hut that's part of the opening. Why tan yellow for the primary color of the set? It's too bright. -

[LDD MOC] Stephenson's Rocket

i'm aware of that. I was just being lazy and didn't bother to set the far side wheels properly because I hate using LDD's angle tools. -
[LDD MOC] Stephenson's Rocket

PM if you'd like the .lxf file It's already awaiting approval -
Railway travel was the most common form of transportation for most of the 19th century. Not only was it sufficient for passenger trains, but it was convenient for goods trains as well. It helped to spread the power of many countries and greatly boost their economies. The winner of the Rainhill Trials, and one of the earliest steam locomotives ever built, Stephenson's Rocket, also simply known as Rocket, was built in 1829 by Robert Stephenson. It innovated steam locomotive design by only having a single pair of driving wheels, multiple boiler fire-tubes, a blastpipe, pistons directly connected to the driving wheels, a separate firebox, and more. Stephenson's Rocket beat out Novelty and Sans Pareil by achieveing the balance of power, speed, and reliability that the Liverpool and Manchester Railway was seeking. It served on the railway for a period of four years before working on the Brampton Railway. It was retired from service in 1862, and is today preserved at the Science Museum in London. A working replica was built in 1979 for the 150th anniversary of Rocket's construction. It is based currently in the National Railway Museum at York. The character of Stephen from Thomas & Friends is based off of this locomotive. This LEGO model is built as a mix of the original locomotive and the replica. It features the following 237 pieces Robert Stephenson & Driver minifigures Free-rolling wheels Working pistons Detachable tender Compatibility with standard LEGO track design I had a lot of dun designing this model and rendering it. Please comment and suggest ways I could improve the model! PM me if you're interested in obtaining the digital file so you can make changes for yourself and possible build this model in real life! Thank you.

"Adaptable. That's what my owner says I am. Go anywhere, do anything, that's me. You take my advice and scrap your rails. Broaden your outlook like me!" Based on a 1934 Caterpillar Model 70, Terence the Tractor is a character from the Thomas the Tank Engine series. The engines find his caterpillar tracks very unusual, but Terence is capable of proving that he does not need rails and that his tracks allow him to go practically anywhere. He takes any teasing in the name of fun and is happy to get on with his job, usually partaking in agricultural work. This LEGO model is 361 pieces and includes engine detailing, rotating eyes, and rotating wheels. PM me if you'd like the .lxf file!

[WIP LDD MOC] Imperial Endor Bunker
StarWars8Spoiler replied to StarWars8Spoiler's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Major BUMP. It's been close to 2 years since I've looked at this model, but thanks to @bataleon I remembered to open it up again and finish off what I started! This version is 808 pieces and features some new details on the satellite and bunker exterior. I redid the floor of the bunker's interior too and added 6 minifigures: two scout troopers, one Imperial officer, and three Imperial workers. All of the action features remain the same as last time. -

I'm surprised he's selling it for so cheap. You'd think someone would try to do 10x that. -

I think you're right. This one seems to go from 8 studs to 4 studs. That's very unfortunate. A wasted opportunity. -

Probably true, but rumours have put the part count in the range of 7000-8000 pieces, so it's definitely possible. -

To those complaining about Snoke's minifigure, it's actually accurate to what we will see on screen. MakingStarWars.net just released a sketch of Snoke's in-film appearance, and it has the same blue eyes, flesh skin, and gold robe we see on his LEGO form.
