Beautiful, what did you render it in?

  2. Mini Rey's Speeder for the September 2017 magazine
  3. We have yet to see how they function in the movie. I'd have at least a little bit of faith!
  4. It is with a heavy heart that I say I've sold almost all of my LEGO collection and have thus begun my Dark Ages, however my interest in digital building remains untouched.

As I grow older, my interests have changed. I don't feel the same about LEGO as I once did, and I've began to swing heavily back into my love of model trains and railways.

This was a necessary move so I can pursue new and great things. Thank you all for being a wonderful community.

I can relate. A while back I quit LEGO and got back into Star Wars action figures, I kept my old LEGO, though. Wouldn't call it my dark ages, as it was only a year or two. I have a feeling it's yet to come...

Model trains are awesome, hope you have great fun getting back into it!

Will you still be hanging around here? If not, we'll miss ya, man.

      Cheers,

      -JD

I definitely plan on staying around. I still love using LDD and other 3D tools, so I'll be posting my digital MOCs.

      Awesome.

  5. Darth Maul was inevitable. I don't think his build will contain anything new or innovative. Just a new head sculpt and prints. Is it based off his Episode 1 appearance or his TCW/Rebels one?
  6. Boy I'm going to love this film. That bit with Carrie at the end made me tear up!
  7. Godspeed you magnificent bastard

  8. Pretty beautiful sets. Shame I don't have the money for them. A few observations: No new part molds (barring minifigure/CCBS ones) The Resistance Transport Pod might contain spoilers for the movie in that it reveals a hidden function of the Troop Transport, where the cockpit can be jettisoned for escape if necessary. The Heavy Scout Walker is modeled after Theo Jansen's "Strandbeest," in how it moves around. It is also a droid or remotely controlled as it has no pilot. Kylo Ren's Tie Fighter must have a deceptively large cockpit. The picture we've seen makes it look too small for Kylo to fit in there. As others have said, BB-8 is not labelled as UCS, yet it comes with a plaque and stand like all other UCS sets. I'm curious as to why this is still part of the normal wave. It's very un-LEGO, knowing their previous release patterns. The Resistance Bomber must have some sort of heavy Technic frame in the front to keep it from tipping backwards when standing up. The 6 black Zamor Spheres are obviously the bombs, but I can't seem to find the loading/dropping mechanism on this set.
  9. There's not much else they can do in that subtheme. The fourth season coming up will be the last one, so there won't be much of a market for Rebels sets after that occurs.
  10. I'm sure a lot of us do, and I appreciate the hard work you and others put into keeping the site in order, but it can get frustrating when pages get swamped and you feel like you're being unfairly picked on. This is nothing against you or @MKJoshA
  11. Yes SIR! Sorry for trying to explain my actions. I'm not trying to defy the staff members in any way. I'm just trying to defend someone who was simply asking for clarification on something.
  12. To be on topic, there are new pictures of some of the TLJ figures online, including Hux, Resistance Troopers, Rose, the Resistance Bomber Pilot, Holdo, and the FO Assault Walker Pilot.
  13. I'd hardly call that mini-modding. He was just asking for some clarification.
  14. Why are they doing another Vader CCBS build? Seriously... why? There's nothing new they can really do with it. The last one was perfect.
  15. Holdo's face is very "Laura Dern." They got it perfectly!
  16. If you attach them at a 71-72 degree angle, they'll fit in there.
  17. Very smooth! Probably the closest I've seen to the in-movie model.
  18. Gotta get back... back to the past... SAMURAI JACK Genndy Tartakovsky's cartoon series Samurai Jack is one of the most mature, rich, and complex cartoon series of the 21st century. Its unique art style and story have earned it a cult following. The show ran from 2001 to 2004 on Cartoon Network, being revived in 2017 on Adult Swim and finally concluding in May of the same year. It is one of my favorite series of all time, and I figured it would translate well to the world of LEGO, at least in the stylized, cube-like form of the Brickheadz series. Here we have Samurai Jack, who was sent into the future by the extra thick shape-shifting Master of Darkness, Aku. Jack needs to get back to the past to defeat Aku and prevent his evil from terrorizing the land. This is also on LEGO Ideas. Please support it here! Project Link
  19. I'm torn between Yularen and the Tusken Raider, but I'm going to vote for Yularen.
  20. Was looking back over the leaked Snoke figure, and noticed how similar his facial printing was to Tarkin. I'm guessing it's just an odd coincidence.
