I just knew Pythor was being opportunistic and that he would still be a villain! "Never trust a Snake..." Good to see they keep the consistency here.- 4,591 replies

One does not simply change a successful business formula, just for the sake of change. Besides, repeating patterns bring forth compatibility and collectibility. I, for example, tend collect the dragon sets and the dojos/temples. -

B&P haul came in today, so now I can show a modest unit of my Zotharian army, for Guilds of Historica : The unit consists of 4 spearmen and 12 swordsmen, plus Commander Derisquar. Maybe I will assemble more units for the army in the future. And while I'm at it, a figbarf of an alliance of bounty hunters (again for GoH):

Exetrius replied to Richpepperell's topic in LEGO Star Wars
1 €/$ = 1 VIP point 100 VIP points = 5 €/$ off --> 5% discount 3 x 5 = 15 --> 15% discount (and that's enough maths for today! Hope I didn't screw up on this...) -

That's interesting. It seems that Hoth Bricks, who previously reported a rumour of five(!) FO stormie polybags, has updated their article. It speaks of one polybag instead and also triple VIP points, just like you said: http://www.hothbricks.com/2016/09/30602-first-order-stormtrooper-de-retour-force-friday/ -

Nocturnus Minichallenge II: Preliminary Ceremonies
Exetrius replied to Kai NRG's topic in Guilds of Historica
Good to see you in the Guilds again, Kai! I can see why you love those blobs of rockwork! Overhanging rock spikes always.. eh.. dare I say, rock? The beacon/altar looks really neat as well, especially with the large flames. The only (minor) thing missing in my opinion are slight hints of vegetation or snow; something that would break the monotony of the rocks or indicate what kind of surroundings this build has (like altitude or biome). Another very nice build, keep up the good work! -
Lovely little house! I think the incomplete coverage of the roof suits the look of the thing as a whole. Nice how everything above ground floor has an odd angle. The base features some nice details, I like the stacked logs, the axe in the chop block and also the flowers. The mosaic path and the smokestack could use some refinement, but overall this is a nice build!
-
The tower itself looks good, but the charm of this is in the details: the front door, the birdcage and, most of all, the horse shack on the side! The path is also very nice!
-
Nice work! I like the rockwork on the base, especially the technique that you used for the walkway is interesting, never seen it before. The round tower wall is nice as well. Some constructive criticism: I think the vine going across is a bit too bright in this context, but you could switch it for a regular green one. The roof is nicely tiled, but it could be more closed, with wedge plates for example. Finally, I'm not sure about the gold details for the door, maybe brown would look more appropriate for a building like this?

2017 Speed Champions Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Exetrius replied to BrickJagger's topic in LEGO Town
what I find interesting is that none of the sets shows stickers yet, only prints, but then there's the Bugatti with all it's decoration it seems. Would be awesome to get prints for the most important parts, for once. -

Does anyone know where the 5 stormies rumour originates from and if it has been proven to be a hoax? (I really hope it's not fake.. ) -
LEGO Nexo Knights 2017 Discussion
Exetrius replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
I don't know about that. On the drawings, the helmets and shoulder armour of these baddies look comparable to those of the sea monsters. Btw, I like fire villains and especially how well they were executed for Nexo Knights, but the concept has been done much more often than lightning/crystal(?) villains, which makes these exciting, in my opinion. -
LEGO Nexo Knights 2017 Discussion
Exetrius replied to Peppermint_M's topic in LEGO Action and Adventure Themes
Welp, no sea monsters or forest dwellers after all.. but nevertheless: this looks promising! Really curious about the antagonist shields and the new armour and wings pieces; very magical and evil, like the first wave. I don't know why every bad guy vehicle and random flying object needs a face, though. -

That windtunnel is awesome! Also, it's great to see the classic Ford GT40! -
Well, Temple of Airjitzu, Disney Castle and practically any Modular building set come to mind, but all of those are a big investment. For non-building builds, I suggest the Master Wu Dragon and Cole's Earth Roader, for design techniques, parts selection and overall value for money.

Nocturnus Minichallenge II: Those Darned Barbarians.
Exetrius replied to Ulfraut's topic in Guilds of Historica
The stalagmites and stalactites are my favorite features, look good! Yet, as Henjin mentioned, you are having a lot of different features together, without highlighting them individually. Concerning the base, I suggest that you take your cave structure off the tan base plate and put it on a simple, brickbuilt black base instead (example). To polish your presentation further, I suggest using a blank sheet of paper as backdrop and a light source (desk lamp works for me personally), avoid using the flash of your camera. You could also edit the background away in Photoshop or Microsoft Paint. Happy building! One last thing: please do not upload the images as files on Eurobricks, but rather use a site like Flickr, imgur, brickshelf, etc. to store your images, and embed them as links here. Here are the tutorials on how to do so: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=71241entry1320172 -
