Ninjago: Masters Of Spinjitsu TV Show Thread
gamejutzu replied to Lance's topic in LEGO Media and Gaming
Well, Tommy did say that if this film felt rushed, then he personally apologizes and states that they failed in making good content. Yeah, it's getting crazy... Someone posted DoD's ending on Youtube... Of course in a shaky cam, but still. Anyways, i'm done watching Ninjago stuff with shaky cam and/or different language. Even if I get spoiled any further, it'll be worth it to watch in 720p. Well, say we didn't read anything Andreasen posted, or the Ninjago website's spoilers. I'd say if I didn't see any of that, the plot would be really interesting and some nice surprises (like Morro). I kinda wish I didn't now... To be honest, that's kind of LEGO's fault. I mean, they're the ones who made all those sets in the first place. And trying to showcase majority of the sets could only result in something like that. Also, Why do the instrumental sneak peeks have lyrics in them... That's not fair...- 4,591 replies

Whether the ninja get sent back or not, the season takes place in the serpentine wars. Their parents could be alive, so they might actually not go to the past. It could also be a ToE kind of thing where people don't dress normally because they're away from society. -

I suppose. Also, It's confirmed that Garmadon died in the Cursed Realm. He didn't escape or anything.- 4,591 replies

Discarded? This could still mean they dropped them at the Spirit Coves... And someone found them... Making it partially canon... -__- are they joking at how Pythor had a staff that did nothing in the show, we don't even know what Constrictai antivenom does These trailers are looking good. Even though a part of me is kind of sad this is less than an hour long, it still looks to be good. Also, I see they're still making errors with armor and chest plates...- 4,591 replies

It looks like it. They didn't make sets of the newer movie. Whenever the confirmed Sonic or the rumored Mario movie comes out, i'd love to see LEGO get licenses for them. Sets for the Sonic movie, and maybe a game with the Mario movie. ___ and also my real dream "Lego" game is a Ninjago game based off the TV show, with the same graphics it has. And actual combat (as in use a lot of the buttons in a meaningful way, and even the triggers, and combinations of buttons and stuff, and weapons with different elemental stats and requirements, like Spinjitzu Smash) as well as unique elemental mechanics (like earth sensory underground vision, fire heat vision, lightning conduction, Lloyd could switch elements on the fly, etc.). And use mechs and vehicles as tools for puzzles and creative boss fights, rather than something on-rails (i'm pretty sure even if we got a game that wasn't handheld they'd still make it on-rails). Really, Ninjago's got so much potential, there's SO much material in the TV series they could use, and they can hire everyone involved with the show, not just LEGO on their own. Of course the games would be split up based on events. And not every event would get a game. Say Day of the Departed-Hands of Time gets a game. Or an entire game for Year of the Snakes or a whole game for Rebooted. There's so much to talk about this, i'll do it later.

Just looking at all these pictures of Ninjago in general... They look so niiccce. It's all so crisp and good-looking (I'm a sucker for unique graphics and lighting). It would be so cool to get a Ninjago game with the same graphics as the show. Free roaming in Stiix or New Ninjago City or a stealth mission in Ouroboros would be so cool, and imagine rain effects too and how it would look mixed with the reds and neon greens . There's so much potential for a real Ninjago game too. Oh well, here's hoping the Lego-ized movie version will be good. Hope there's free roam there too. Also mine isn't loading either. You probably should take screenshots. What kind of pictures are they? Just in the museum, or all new backgrounds of locations just by themselves? Or screenshots of the show? I don't know why shots of the special would be in the season, but who knows :/ I've been spoiled on enough regarding the special anyway, so i'll pass if there's info about it there.- 4,591 replies

It's undecided, but the top theory is that he desecrated the weapons or showed disrespect towards that whole system. Also, Yang and his students survive because of the temple (which is pretty much a realm in itself). They can only be on temple grounds, and if they leave the same rules of normal ghosts (can't stay too long without a vessel, etc.) will apply to them. I feel like these next two "additions" in the show explain and set up rules. DoD sets up rules for possession, realms, and being a ghost. And HoT will lay down the basic rules of elemental powers. I really do like that the world and lore is being built up instead of just being established or existing. They really didn't have to do that but they did.- 4,591 replies

But Cole's body was with him when he was cursed. He's a special case, his body never left him. Also, someone asked for an episode name from Hands of Time. Apparently, an episode will be called, "A Line in the Sand".- 4,591 replies

Looking back at it, it has three wings... and some material in between the wings for gliding... I can see why they did that.

Maybe it's not supposed to have wing mechanics. Maybe it just uses thrust and jets. I dunno.

Yeah, I saw bigfig arms on it... I do like that it's going for a brick built/minifigure/bigfig combination. I don't know if we've ever seen that, besides Dogpound. -
That game has a long way to go to stand on even ground with Minecraft, or even Roblox or Trove (can you build in Trove actually?) I'd love if Lego Worlds had a survival and creative mode. Survival being that you need to collect your bricks, and eventually get rope, Technic bricks, or rare bricks as a reward, kind of like horse armor or Blaze rods. And Creative would be you having everything at your disposal. What would be the point of Survival? Well, it would be a first for Lego. Also, there would be no hunger or anything like that, just health. And just like Minecraft, you will be posed with actual challenges and consequences, but nothing extreme like respawning somewhere else if you die. I'd like to see a twist on Minecraft's survival.

No, there's just one collective realm for dead people. That's where the inhabitants of the Cursed Realm moved to, and apparently they're pretty happy there. But, some villains aren't satisfied, like Chen and Kozu (who I think was in the dead realm anyway). No, I think they have their actual powers and abilities. Also, Morro is real and not a statue.- 4,591 replies

I'm just saying this because Tommy Andreasen gets tons of tweets about the Overlord, and that he's waiting for something to happen to really come back. And if he possessed a statue, would he really be as strong as he was before?- 4,591 replies

He actually could to be honest, and he'd be as physically dangerous as Chen, since without actual power the Overord can't really do much. He's gotta wait for the balance to shift. He's gonna get an honorable mention.- 4,591 replies

Apparently, Yang's chained weapon is called a "yin blade". Interesting choice for a name... -

Don't you mean both? What prelim are you looking at? -
What made that game a Wii U exclusive was the gamepad use, if they can replicate that on a PC (which would probably be hard to do), then yeah, I guess.

Demon samurai? I thought they were also snake worshipers. I do like the Vermillion Trap, and how it has 2 vermillion. Lloyd and Cole also have really good outfits so I'll get them as well. Jay and Nya look really nice but the sets they're in don't really interest me (the blacksmith isn't really amazing to me...) Also, I just realized, Cole's exclusive to Destiny's Bounty Jr. -
Well that doesn't seem like The Sims... There you can't really have a great amount of control over a specific character (run, jump, actions, etc.) I feel like if they can use ideas from Lego City Undercover and add even more open world, it won't be a ripoff at all. Heck, I might even play one of those sorts of games.

Yeah, that's what I meant. The thing is, I wouldn't have built upon this idea if I didn't see Tommy half-endorse this himself. I really don't remember the exact words, but he was the one who sort of came up with this.- 4,591 replies

No, Tommy said that Ninjago's time could be different than ours. So I was thinking it could be safe to assume, that NInjago itself has a suspended timeline. Which would explain why the ninja go through so much yet apparently such little time (on our side of things) has passed. A similar phenomenon is used in the Sonic series, where Mobius (Sonic's world) passes through time much less quicker than Earth. I think it was 6 months on Mobius translate to 6 years on Earth. I'm not saying this exact ratio applies to Ninjago, but something similar to this. Tommy himself started this idea i'm getting, and it doesn't exactly contradict anything in Ninjago. Also, Day of The Departed has been confirmed by Tommy Andreasen to air as an uninterrupted 44 minute special.- 4,591 replies

But Zane made his new body at the end of Rebooted... but, I guess ToE was after a long time gap anyway, so it kind of makes the most sense to place it in Rebooted than ToE... But that means the serpentine season lasted for a few months at most... And the ninja barely get any breaks... Why did they say they missed the action packed life in Rebooted when they've barely been out of it? It's been less than a year anyway... To me, it kind of contradicts the story and the things the ninja say, with this whole "old teenagers (yes that's what he said)" thing... And the fact that they'll always be teenagers? I dunno... What if instead of the ninja going through all that in such a short time, Ninjago's world is actually in a suspended timeline? Meaning the ninja may have been in the game for much longer, but time is slower here... Since there obviously is an actual timeline here... Tommy did say this was sort of a possibility... Also yeah, lots of people theorize that Maybe the ice master shared his element with Zane through his power source, and I guess it just stuck to Zane after that (his new body)...- 4,591 replies
