  1. I think you misunderstood me. A brake rotor is basically just another word for a brake disk. So your comment would be correct if I were spinning the brake rotors (disks), but as I said above I was basically spinning the engine via a gear directing connected to the crankshaft (just two u-joints in between). Therefore shifting up should result in a faster turning rotor.
  2. Has it been mentioned that the paddle shifters are reversed? I've never driven a paddle shift car but I'm pretty sure that pulling the right paddle shifts up and pulling the left paddle shifts down. So if I spin the blue gear that is pretty much directly coupled to the engine, and shift up by pulling the right paddle, the rotors would rotate faster. But this is not the case, as they're rotating slower.
  3. German website, German date format. (date.month.year)
  4. If you ignore every imperfection, it’s perfect But seriously, that sucks and imo unacceptable in a set like this. I’d contact LEGO. You’ll probably get a free wheel or even set of wheels, no questions asked.
  5. Connectors could work, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Connectors can pull apart, whereas the MLA is one piece. As you might know the actuator portion can rotate freely without extending if the DBG pin hole is not fixed. So the MLA is used for two things: the LBG part is used for the actual shifting, and the DBG part is used because you need to be able to connect something to the steering wheel that rotates but is also sturdy enough to transfer the force of pulling and pushing. It’s an extremely clever mechanism that’s way ahead of what LEGO offers imo.
  6. I swear it was 2023 when I posted my comment So still something to look forward to I guess. The initial price was USD. Maybe the conversion rates just work out in our favor for a change.
  7. According to PromoBricks this will be a August 1st release… of 2023. https://www.promobricks.de/lego-technic-2022-sommer-neuheiten-2/145176/ Scroll down a bit, the LR13000 is listed but with a release date of 01-08-2023. The price also seems significantly lower as I remember this being listed as a €600 set. It’s now €450.
  8. I had no idea so I Googled a bit. But apparently it has been discussed here like Mr Ogel (page 162 btw) mentioned. I don’t go much outside the Technic forum. The way I found it was via a German blog post a while ago. I’ve used it a few times and I haven’t noticed anything sketchy myself. But I’ll definitely look more into it later.
  9. Well do I have something for you There’s a Google Chrome plugin called “BrickHunter”, which accepts Bricklink XML files and can automatically add parts to your cart. It will also be able to export the parts you cannot buy on PaB as a Bricklink XML and just order the rest through Bricklink.
  10. The "first edition" McLaren supercars were already going on ebay for way too much money after the announcement of a second version, even though I have yet to see anyone share their second version actually built. People will go crazy when they think they see a quick buck.
  11. It’s flat silver in the Transformers set
  12. It was indeed the Porsche. Besides design flaws like the paddle shifters (didn’t work properly) that’s the only real error I can remember. Welcome back btw
  13. August is definitely correct. You can thank the translator app
  14. It’s probably either LBG in some shadows or flat silver, which are in production currently.
  15. Four. Two different ones in the Daytona, one in the 488, and the very small one in 42098
  16. Same as the bucket for the Arocs and Volvo EW160. Not a new one as far as I can tell.
  17. They’re alright. Nothing too exciting imo besides the return of the small pneumatic cylinder and some recolors.
  18. Wow those errors... Thankfully the instructions are made so toddlers can understand them, but all these errors in a premium €400 flagship set is embarrassing.
  19. And ordered I skipped the queue. I still had the site open from an hour ago
  20. Those parts are very limited and mostly system parts. Though there are some technic parts, it’s mostly limited to axles, pins and some liftarms. What I usually ordered from B&P was panels, frames, sometimes wheels or tires and other brand new parts such as the red half pin with friction or the 3 long frictionless stop pin.
  21. Yeah, but still none of the “new” parts, such as the new orange parts from the McLaren or even the BMW shock absorbers... I’m usually more optimistic but the move to Pick a brick has been a huge failure, at least for us (the consumers). Price increase on many parts Service unavailable for well over a month New parts still not available Bricks and pieces was far from perfect, but at least it worked.
  22. Looks great and also nice to see some different iterations. The transverse gearbox is definitely cool. Any idea on the color? I’m guessing red, using many of the new parts in the Ferrari? Those new shocks are also perfect for this car, but I can tell you’re already planning on using those.
  23. Makes sense, since (if I remember correctly) the real car was made as a tribute to the 330 P4, similar to how the Sian was a tribute to the Countach. But this is definitely a set I will buy multiple of just for the parts. I can already tell you there will be a huge amount of red MOCs coming in the following years.
  24. There is no reason to pre-order. The set won't be shipped out until August (or later), at which point you might just be able to buy it for that price directly or maybe even cheaper.
