LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
brickbuilder replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm expecting a Comic-Con reveal. And the prototype wall, I doubt any of those will be released, they are from the past. I'm hoping for completely redone AOTC sets for 2013. -

On the level of detail on the minifigs, I think that what TLG is doing right now is perfect, and I really don't think they are going to get even more detailed (arm printing, etc.), but instead I think they are going to look more appealing, as in using crisper lines, better colour combinations, etc. -

The price tag there says it will be $39.99, not bad for a set like that. Jabba's Palace is looking excellent! The new Jedi Starfighter and Desert Skiff are also really nice. Darn Toy Fair people, why did you have to hide Boba Fett's leg printing in the Sarlacc! -

Actually now that you mention it, usually LEGO Exclusives are released around September to November which is why we don't see them at toy fair, but we've heard rumours that one is being released in May or March or something, so it's possible it'll be displayed at Toy Fair. -

Looking great, I love the details on the inside.

Yeah, why would anyone buy the Battle of Naboo? That's a horrible parts pack, IMHO. Nice find with the polybags. Being the greedy impatient kind of guy I am, I'm still waiting to see those retailer exclusives/Special Editions for next summer. Last year we got set numbers and names on Christmas Eve. I'm hoping for one set from Season 4 of the Clone Wars, with Phase 2 clones, it would be awesome if it was from the Umbara episodes. Usually the sets from a season come the Summer after it finishes, so with Season 4 finishing this Spring, we should get at least one this Summer. For the other set, it would be cool to get a third addition to Jabba's Palace and the Desert skiff, maybe a Rancor pit would be sweet. -

Well the page of the catalog that was posted a couple pages back, was the only SW page, other than the UCS stuff. So just check there. -

Well, the X-wing price is alright. Usually $60 = $80 (ex. ARC-170, T-6, Republic Attack Shuttle), So $75 for it is an improvement. -

Well they could be getting a little less expensive for Canadians. In 2007 the BP's were $10 USD, and $15 CAD, and last year they were $12 USD and still $15 CAD. I could see the TIE being $65 CAD, when usually $50 USD sets are $65 CAD. -

The youtube user just posted the new video. Turns out he just meant the planet sets that we've already seen. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TppaC_O9VQA&context=C3af6cf8ADOEgsToPDskLM2vpMBa2vaYUl9nr39lJQ -

The Youtube user who posted the pictures mentioned that in the next day or so he's going to post the pics of the summer retailer exclusives. I can't wait to see them! Also, you know what would just about make my life? One of the exclusives being a set from the battle of Umbara. I could totally see them releasing one of those cannons or something. -

Hahaha that isn't the final thing at all. TLG only said that Yoda would be on the box, the pictures there were created by Hoth Bricks to give us an idea of what it would looks like. -

Notice how the box for the Skiff says "New" next to Boba? I wonder what could be changed. Maybe leg printing? -
I think its silly that people complain about the sets. Sure, girls will love them, and I'm sure they will buy them. But it's not like those are the only sets girls buy. My kid sister is 11 right now, and she bought the Belville sets when she was younger. Now, she ocasionally buys some City, some Harry Potter, and she's been collecting the Winter Village sets. She also is looking into the Kingdoms line. And it's not like she's some wierd tom-boy or whatever, she's just a normal girl who goes to school, makes friends, goes shopping, etc. So as I said, I think it's silly that people say LEGO is exclusively for boys. Just my opinion.

I've heard that Filoni confirmed we will see at least six seasons, but I'm afraid I can't recall where. I think he let it slip in an interview or something.

Actually, the ARFs in Season 4 are different, with new helmets. Also, I doubt TLG would release Season 4 material this early. Sets should start appearing this summer. And those Season 3 ones also have red arms anyway... -

Hey guys, I was reading this old article on Groovebricks, and I noticed at the bottom it mentioned 2 other 2012 sets, The battle of Naboo and Poggle's Factory. I'm not sure where these came from, because I haven't seen any rumours like that. The only thing is that Queen Amidala could be in the Naboo set. Article
