REVIEW: The Simpsons - Kwik-E-Mart (71016)
Bricktasia replied to Adeel Zubair's topic in LEGO Licensed
Thank you for the time and effort it must have taken you to make this review! I'm not a great Simpsons fan but I love this set. I think I built a grocery store when I was about 10 years old and 10-year-old me would have coveted those milk cartons and boxes of cereal and, well, everything really I particularly love the design of the coffee pot though, I don't know if these have been done before but I think they are just perfect.- 29 replies

Wow, I really like the entrance gate with the turbaned statues. Very cool In the black & white picture one of the trees looks like there's cobwebs in it or something, any chance of a close-up of those trees? Would love to see how you pulled that off!

[MOC] Walking Chair - 31019 alternate model
Bricktasia replied to BEAVeR's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I love it, it's so whimsical yet robust It actually reminds me of a children's story by Erwin Moser, about a walking chair. Can't find any images online unfortunately. -
Thank you all for the kind welcome!

The Eurobricks Reviewers Academy
Bricktasia replied to Bonaparte's topic in Forum Information and Help
I would love to learn more about reviewing. I'll have to look if I still have the instruction booklets for my old Fabuland sets, reviewing those would be such fun. I don't have a 'real' camera though, I only take pictures with my iPhone... Is this a problem? -
I like the design of the scales, those are unmistakably butcher's scales!

Not going to happen since the show stopped in 2003, but I would have loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer lego. With double printed minifig heads for the vampires, one regular face, one growly face. Could include fabulous sets such as the Sunnydale High library (including the bit with where they locked up werewolf Oz, a vampire hideout spot, the wicca shop from the later seasons. All equally awesome. I also think Wes Anderson movies would lend themselves spectacularly well to being made into lego sets. Fantastic Mr. Fox oak tree home, Life Aquatic submarine and/or ship, Darjeeling Limited train, Moonrise Kingdom lighthouse, Margot Tenenbaums room with pink phone... All in those impossible awesome colours these movies have. Maybe I'll have to try and build a few of these myself :)

Sorry for the bump, but I just wanted to say that this MOC is the reason I got back into lego a few years back. I don't know how I happened to come across it, but it made me realize there were more adults who love lego and fabuland. So a big thank you to you!

This painter has a very diverse style indeed. I've never seen the tile with the purple bird decal, very nice.

Hi everyone, I've never really stopped loving lego, but after convincing my brother and sister (both very much grown-ups, same as me) to let me have our collective lego collection from when we were kids, I've started building and playing again. I only got the lego on the condition that I will host annual lego parties, during which the whole family comes to play with the lego and eat grilled cheese sandwiches like we did when we were kids. It's great :) I mostly build vignettes, medieval and town stuff. I'm currently thinking about building some hipster scenes (coffee bar, concert of a band you won't have heard about) and having lots of fun building hipster minifigs. When I'm not lego building I also enjoy reading, cooking and baking. I'm actually going to finance my first purchase of a modular building (torn between the Parisian restaurant and the Detective's office) by baking a enormous wedding cake for a friend. Yay! Cheers, Bricktasia

I love the lurid orange-pink cafe floor! And the little bay window in the back, with the cheese slopes. Oh, and the design of the little satellite dish on top of the fishmongers.

Friends/Elves + Chima = Fabuland 2? Hear me out... [Pic]
Bricktasia replied to danth's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I love it! If they sold the Friends sets with figs like this I would definitely buy them. -
I love the fans on the wall! And the conveyor belts remind me of the boardgame Roborally, nice.
