  1. Thanks for the comments everyone, and thanks for the suggestions too! That's a good idea Rob and I've started thinking about how I can use those panel pieces. I have them in light bley too! Now, where have I put them...?
  2. Great work Christopher! Looks like it was tricky process bulding the Azure Angel especially! I own Dark Empire and really like your take on the CloakShape fighter - it'd be nice to see it in alternate colours too. I used to have loads of those nose pieces, loved 'em as a kid and included 'em in loads of my minis. Don't have so many (if any) now unfortuntely...
  3. Ohhh! Not again! And two non-infected shipmates too... I don't just don't know who to trust anymore! And let's not forget Lt. Cmdr. Antares. She has access to our blasters too and strangely wasn't present this morning. She was also closest to the scene when our Captain was murdered, could she have been infected? It puts us all in a dangerously prone position if she is! Add to that she was disappointingly absent from her quarters when I called by last night. Shame... I wore my beautiful new cocktail dress too. Fassin's wounds are much larger than could be inflicted with our medical instruments - especially a scalpel. No, there's no doubt this was a long bladed weapon. I wouldn't rule out a kitchen knife either. My ex-boyfriend, Jayce, was an expert with blades. There wasn't anything he couldn't do with his sword when the mood took him *sigh*... those times are far behind me now.
  4. Aye! It's quite a challenge recreating detail on such a small scale, it teaches you to combine elements in different ways. I found the shape changing quite dramatically as I tinkered away. I actually started out trying to build a version of the Flitknot speeder, then somehwere along the way thought 'hang on, this'd be better suited to a BARC' and so adapted. It's really rewarding when you arrive at something your happy at Many thanks for the further comments guys!
  5. Now that my friend, is music to my ears! Maybe then it'll be time for me to disassemble my brickbuilt Grievous, hopefully to pave the way for awesomeness!
  6. Damn that new ARC does look awesome. An improvement on the original, superbly detailed and normal LSW printed faces, new helmets on the minifigs too. I wasn't going to bother but it'll be hard to resist now!
  7. Isn't it now dangerously likely your character will be blown out of an airlock into the void?!
  8. I had an idea for a Christmas-y contest: Design a LEGO Star Wars Xmas tree decoration! Be it a Death Star bauble, Santa riding his custom chibi X-wing, etc. Should be to hang, would be limited by parts so as not too heavy. If you don't win, nevermind! You can still add it to your tree

    Rex V-Wing

Nice MOD Sylann. Really like the extra details and the new colour scheme, really suits Rex to a tee. Have you seen The Inventor's V-wing MOD? You'll find it here. It's arguably one of the best I've seen based around the set. He managed to recreate the swivel nature of the wings and the slant of the body shape very effectively. You should check it out! It may inspire you to further develop your own MOD
  10. Cheers Christopher. I know what you mean about the rear landing gear - for me it was a trade off between function and form. When the landing gear is flipped up it blends well with the wing, I thought extra detail might bulk it out too much so kept it purely functional. I didn't experiment with it a great deal beyond that though, so might try a few different ideas now that you've mentioned it.
  11. That's brilliant! I really like all the working, playing elements that make it come to life! I would've been made up having this when I was a young 'un. I reckon this is the sort of stuff I'll do when my wife and I have children. So, got any plans to build your child another giant playset? Cloud City? Jabba's Palace?
  12. Thanks for the comments chaps! The Z-95 does lack some of the subtletly of the X-wing but then it's it's predecessor. The wings are blocky, but that's just the way they are! They do have some thickness to them, so I thought I'd built them with SNOT. It's hard to create a subtley curved nose for these ships, but it's something for me to experiment further with on my next version Here's a shot of my old 4-engined version from way back when... No competition really!
  13. Cheers! The parts swap out easily for coloured variations. I did have an alternate BARC with more dark red, but went for this more version as the colour is more sparse on the 'real thing'. I've also built a custom Jedi BARC speeder with a lot more colour - I'll be photographing that soon.
  14. Yo ADHO, Picture of Count Dooku with lightsaber and the 3 heavy super battle droids.
  15. Hello all, This year I decided to upgrade an old MOC based on a favourite starfighter of mine, the Z-95 Headhunter. Many of you will know the ship, here's some information from Wookieepedia for those that don't: 'You gotta love the Z-95. Nothing beats the feeling of power they give you.' - unknown Bandit Squadron pilot. The Z-95 Headhunter was a starfighter designed jointly by Incom and Subpro Corporations years before the Invasion of Naboo. Its resilience and longevity meant it remained a staple of private and low-priority government starfighter forces long after its introduction. Considered one of the most capable fighters of its day, it boasted a distinctive bubble canopy and a set of blasters mounted at the ends of each of its two variable geometry wings; later versions dispensed with the swing wings and bubble canopy in favor of more precise maneuvering thrusters and canopy instrumentation. It was named after the Coromon headhunter, a predator native to the Coromon Islands on Fresia, the planet where Incom was headquartered. Z-95 Headhunter Rear View Side Three-quarter Reactor Cowl Close-up One of the distinctive features of the Z-95 is the bubble like reactor that makes up much of the main hull. I decded recreate it including a large cone part. It clips closed and there's is plenty of space underneath for an engine. I built one originally but recently removed it 'cause I didn't like it. I'll build a new one though and post pictures when I do Landing Gear The landing gear flip up flush with the wing, hence the simple design. Cockpit 100% Corellian pleather seat! Thanks for looking! You can find all my Star Wars MOCs and more with my links below. Comments and criticism welcome.
  16. Very kind comments 'Skintas, I'm glad you like my design. Feel free to borrow and tinker away!
  17. I'd absolutely love to get Aayla Secura; verily one of my favourite Jedi! Love to see Aurra Sing too. That's some hype you're laying down KimT... I'm going to have to work even harder or win the lottery methinks!
  18. Cheers for the comments everyone The steering vanes (shields!) do indeed come from the official version and so were perfect for this MOC. The only niggle I have is that the detail on the forward vanes has gun barrels detailed on them which I've built with LEGO. I could have used another pair of the back vanes but I only have 3 pairs of each and have built 3 of these BARCs (though one is a customised Jedi BARC which I'll photograph later). Doesn't matter too much though and it's better with the detail than without IMO
  19. The day is drawing to a close and we're no closer to finding out who's infected... I have my suspicions but it's too early to say. I'm afraid it seems we'll have to wait and see what the night brings. If it's to be my last I'd like to spend it in carefree abandon - I'm too afraid to be alone! On the plus side we've established the ship is extremely well stocked with a variety of food and flora.
  20. Cheers lads I borrowed a work colleague's camera today and got snappy during my lunch-break!
  21. Ladies, gents... I'd like to share one of my more recent MOCs, my version of the BARC speeder. The Biker Advanced Recon Commando (BARC) speeder was a powerful speeder bike model used by the Grand Army of the Republic as a reconnaissance craft during the Clone Wars. It was manufactured by Aratech Repulsor Company. They were powered by repulsors and a turbine engine mounted on the frontal prong. The speeder was controlled via twin steering vanes atop the bike, and pedals fitted below. Two blaster cannons protruded from the bottom of the forward prong, while two more were fixed on either side of the vehicle's rear. The speeders were capable of flying at high altitudes and were sometimes used as escorts for LAAT/i gunships carrying important passengers. BARC speeder Side Rear Three quarter angle Originally I'd been tinkering with creating my own version of the Flitknot and somehow ended up with this! There's a couple of areas where I've used a little artistic license such as the front engine and prong. My Bricklink link below will take you to my Star Wars folder - the BARC speeder folder is in there with more pictures (when moderated). Comments, criticism welcome as ever.
  22. Why, Lieutenant Commander! I'd love to... maybe we can talk over some of these strange feelings - oh! - I mean readings I've been getting...?
  23. Great work Christopher! I especially like your Droid Control Ship. I'm pretty sure I've happened across your website before you've got many superb creations there. It's nice to give you credit in person I haven't MOC'd anything in micro, though I did all the time when I was a kid. You may have inspired me to give it a try again! I wouldn't have said the that too many is a problem at all, afterall you wouldn't have so many nice creations! And despite so many ships you're still almost out of material! Much of Star Wars is about the vehicles and it's great to see so many wide and varied designs in films. It's just that lack of screen time and imagery that's frustrating.
  24. Ah! With my social calendar being so busy I'd forgot to post that I'd received mine too. Cheers! I'm hoping to do a review of Vader's TIE soon
  25. I've been in the Med Bay performing a ship-wide scan for wieners... and reapplying my make-up. The Med Bay scanners have come up with some crazy abnormalities... it appears many of our crew are already infected, but I couldn't get a fix on their exact fix on who. I wouldn't rule out that the equipment has been tampered with... Trashed? You're telling me... I think I left a piece of underwear in your room last night I agree with you there, these wieners seem intelligent enough to have an agenda and are hostile enough to exerci- Wait!- you're in love with the Lt. now?! You are so fickle! You're just like one of my ex's, Darcy, back on Earth. Look's like I won't be going after a security guard tonight! That reminds me of one of my ex's on Earth. Marco... now there was a man with real night action... I'd like to see what kind of night action Engofi is capable of, but I'm worried he might have been a little too quick in his accusations against our maintenance man Jad earlier on. Gorgonzolo flowers? The last time I phnorfed a Gorgon with my ex, Nadia, I awoke three days later: naked, my skin had turned blue and I couldn't stop speaking swahili. I found Nadia in a corner eating some newspaper. She'd turned into a surly llama named Jose - at least that's what the name tag said. It took me ages to come down off that stuff... poor Nadia was never the same Mind if I crash your party La'h'Rok? I want to be amongst others when I get off duty... and with the way I feel right now a quick phnorf might sort me out.
