  1. The tournament will begin soon after 32 players sign up.
  2. The prophecy of the Chosen One... an ancient legend of unknown origin that foretells the coming of a powerful being who will restore balance to the Force. For those of the valiant Jedi Order the Chosen One is a champion who will arise to destroy the Sith, restoring the natural balance of the Force and finally freeing it from the tainting presence of the dark side. But for the evil Sith, wielders of the dark side, they would see this balance corrupted and destroyed. Through violence and death their own Chosen One would rise, purging all Jedi from the galaxy and casting the light into darkness. Now in this age of strife these two eternal enemies will clash once again. Many will fall... but finally one shall stand of who the prophecy has spoken. Finally there will be... ...a Chosen One! Welcome to the sign-up for the first Jedi Duel tournament! Called The Chosen One Tournament, its meaning in the Star Wars universe is well known amongst fans and because in this tournament there can be only one who fulfils this prophecy. Rules Summary The tournament will follow one of two formats: The tournament will be divided into several stages. In each stage a character will be drawn against another - at first randomly - their duel determining a winner who will proceed to the next stage to face another winner from the previous stage. The final duel will pit two champions against each other and determine the winner of the tournament. The tournament follows the set-up of traditional tournaments - I’ll post a diagram with it’s format soon. Once sign-ups are complete and I’ve randomly drawn the characters for the first stage of duels, a tournament thread will be posted with this diagram complete with the names of its competitors, full and additional rules. Each stage will have its own thread for ease of play and reference. Every game from one stage must be played before progressing to the next. I will decide when the next stage officially begins. This style of tournament can only accept 16 or 32 players to play. The tournament will follow a league table format with every Jedi and Sith competeing against each other, gaining points for winning or drawing. A league table will be kept up to date with all games that have been played and players can see how they are progressing compared to their fellow competitors. Once sign-ups are complete players can challenge or choose who they play but can only play each other player once within the tournament. The tournament ends when all players have played each other and the final scores determine the winning Chosen One and runner up. in the case of a tied points for first or second position deciding duels will be played. Any further questions and discussion relating to the tournament can be answered here until the tournament thread opens. Please ask any questions relating to the rules in the Introduction & Discussion thread. Helpful Jedi Duel Links Introduction and Discussion - Jedi Duel rules, Q&A Character Databank - Post your Jedi and Sith characters here Dueling Thread - Where the non-tournament duels take place Prizes The Chosen One will not only gain acclaim throughout the galaxy, earning them the honour of adding ‘The Chosen One’ to their character profile, but they will also get to choose a prize from the following: Captain Rex minifig - MINT from my own collection with sealed accessories bag. One shown for illustrative purposes only. 8084 Snowtrooper Army Pack - MISB Fortunately for the valiant runner-up, they’ll receive whichever prize the Chosen One does not choose! Sign-ups Anyone can sign-up for entry to the tournament providing they meet the following conditions: Entrants must have a complete Jedi Duel character. This includes photograph and biography. One character per player only. Entrants must be Eurobricks members from on or before 1st February. Competitors intend to play every duel they are drawn to fight for the duration of the tournament. Non-responsive competitors will be disqualified and a reserve character substituted in their place. Eurobricks staff can also sign up as I am not affiliated with them directly but can expect no special treatment! I will not take part for obvious reasons. In your sign-up post, please include your character’s name and rank – you can amend your posted rank if you rank-up while this thread is open. I’ll ask the staff to close this thread when I feel there has been enough replies. Please note the following tournament conditions: In the interest of creating a challenging tournament , preference will be given to players whose characters have attained higher rank than others. Players can rank-up during the tournament playing a tournament match or by playing in the dueling thread during the tournament. Cheating I’m expecting this to be kept clean and FUN! I keep a close eye on the character Bios and duels as do many of our fellows. Cheating should be reported. Anyone found cheating will be liable for instant disqualification. My word (and that of the staff) is FINAL. And... Thanks again to Dragonator for letting me host Jedi Duel and this, The Chosen One Tournament, here on Eurobricks. Thanks too to those who have played and supported this game so much already – you know who you are! Finally, let me stress that to give your character the best chance of surviving through the tournament you should attempt to rank them as high as possible or else you’ll be easy pickings for a more experience character... and we don’t want to make it that easy, huh?! Good luck!
  3. Just noticed that people seem to be heading back into the sewers after everyone - apart from Reptile and his wee NPC mate - has already left. Do we really need to head back down there now we're all mostly above ground? I thought we'd spent a fair amount of time there already. I'm sure even Reptile will decide to leave under the cover of night...
  4. The Chosen One Tournament sign-up thread will be posted tomorrow evening GMT. I've decided on the prizes too! It's not first come first served so don't panic - but there are some obvious sign-up conditions.
  5. Cheers for the pics guys. Good to see the new minifigs a little better, though there appears to be some printing missing on Aayla's headband. I'm sure that'll come. Cad looks ace and I'm glad there's a commando batle droid there. Hopefully we'll see many more of these guys included in sets - 2 in the upcoming Cad Bane's speeder maybe? How sweet that would be! Very keen to see the new Grievous, Boba and Bossk... Looks like someone took a hammer to the turbo tank, though it's fairly obvious what it'll look like from what we've seen already. The other sets look great - as they've done fromt the prelim pics - 'cept Plo Koons starfighter still should be dark blue and LEGO could've used a little more white in the Wampa Cave. Easy MOD there though.
  6. There's not been a huge amount of players online recently - my apologies to those who've been spoiling for a game but unable to have one due to many players being offline. If you've not played Jedi Duel yet, give it a go! The more the merrier as they say! I'll be announcing the 1st tournament this week.
  7. Agent Ichi blazed through the sewer tunnels, taking no stock of the filth, ichor and assorted detritus that lined the passageways - he was singularly focused on his quarry. The signatures by which he tracked the intruder still hung in the air, brightly displayed on his HUD. There were other readings too – exotic readings – bright glyphs indicated there was more to this intruder than meets the eye. Things started to look like they may get more complicated as one, two, three new trails joined the original. The intruder was not alone... Ichi swiftly took a junction and found himself facing a solid looking steel door. Almost immediately he swept his vibroblade across it, slicing through it like butter, heavy chunks falling to the floor with a thud. Ichi silently stepped through the plume of dust that had risen, blade raised and Prism-field distorting his image should he suddenly find himself ambushed by gunfire. But all that was waiting was a dank room filled with pieces of old gadgetry and junk. A computer, desk and chair. Pipes, some damaged, lined the ceiling and walls. A sound from above! Ichi span around as a hideously mutated, multi-limbed being dropped from the ceiling and clashed several blades against his sword. “What’s this? Another trespasser Cramarr?! Is it some kind of open day?!” Reptile boomed. This isn’t helping me at all, Ichi thought, but I’ve clearly interrupted whatever he was up to. The mutant wielded his blades with deft precision, cutting high and low, thrusting and kicking, but Ichi parried it’s blows with sword and forearm, his vibroblade easily halving 2 of the mutant’s daggers. Reptile lunged for the ninja, attempting to grab him in a bear-hug while slicing down with his remaining weapons. The ninja flipped backwards out of his grasp, landing in a defensive stance. “My quarrel isn’t with you, mutant. I came here looking for another.” said Ichi. Reptile slowly paced around this new adversary, taking in his appearance... his scent... “He’s gone already, into the day. And you’re not even good enough to eat. You don’t smell like normal man. What are you?” “Whatever I may be I’m not interested in hanging around here. Let me be on my way and I’ll spare you.” “Ha!” laughed Reptile. “Whatever you are you’re clustered in tech. I might find a pretty price for you... or little pieces of you.” Ichi’s combat senses were identifying many ways out of this confrontation, the quickest non-violent solution seemed to be a broken pipe near the wall, a feint glimmer of light emanating from within. “We’ll settle this later.” he announced, throwing a pellet to the ground which exploded into a cloud of dense smoke, filling the chamber. “NO!” shouted Reptile, lunging into the cloud and flailing wildly for the ninja... but Agent Ichi had gone. Reptile roared, his voice echoed back and forth throughout the tunnels. He turned his gaze around, eyes searching and meeting the small creature cowering behind an empty box, uselessly brandishing a spoon. “And where were you, coward?!” “Eep!” Cramarr squeaked, shrinking away from his master... + + + Hope that fits with okay with Reptile's personality, Disturbia. I didn't imagine he'd be too impressed with yet another intruder into his lair!
  8. I'd like to have a go at Mafia again too please!
  9. In one of the highest towers of Terrel the Ching known as Hukang stood before a wide, many panelled window, staring out over the city. Directly behind him a polished wooden Tori and slatted steps descend into a spacious hallway, classical music echoing around the space. A Ching guard armed with vibroblade stood to attention as the base of the stairs as the air stirred beside Hukang... "Ichi... thank you for coming so soon." Agent Ichi, first of the Oni Agents and the only one operating for the Chings was suddenly stood beside Hukang. He nodded to affirm the old man's statement and gazed out of the window, his eyes searching the extravaganza of curiously shaped structures lit by a multitude of lights and holograms. His ever-present HUD faintly overlayed the scene, glyphs and messages highlighting various properties of the scene below. "Everything went well on your previous assignment I trust?" Hukang's words were slow and measured. "As well as always." He answered, casually handing a small package to the old man. "Excellent, excellent..." "I did, however, run into an old friend..." The old man's eyes squinted towards Ichi, "...oh? I thought friends were in short supply these days." "Indeed. A friend from the past... someone I believed dead... he is Oni." "Interesting... one of you kindred tech-ninja? It shouldn't be a surprise really. As well you are aware four of your... brethren... were believed to have survived the destruction of the Oni Project and taken by the swines Solar-com. They've been operating for them as long you have us. No doubts handling a mountain of dirty laundry...", chuckled the old man. "I trust things didn't end well for your... friend?" "You know how cunning we can be Hukang. San eluded me... but left me with some food for thought. Nothing that I need divulge at this time." He quickly added, reading the man's expression. "At times our affairs need only be our own Ichi, as long as it doesn't affect your judgement." Ichi silently nodded once. Hukang had been the Ching field commander on the site of the burning complex where Ichi had been found unconcious. He had always treated Ichi with the utmost respect despite his station. Whether as an acknowledgent of his power or something else he couldn't say, but Hukang was as close to Ichi as people got. Oni didn't have friends. They were disncouraged from that type of activity during programming. But he had another life a long time ago... The night previous San had asked him stay his hand and spoke quickly to him atop that rooftop, stirring thoughts which had been bothering Ichi for some time. Damn San! He should've crippled that sadist, taken whatever information he could and done justice to hundreds by ending his life. Solar-com lap-dog. Another time - and soon - for sure. "Your next assignment Ichi." Hukang's voice interrupted his reverie. "Prepare for upload by Virtunet. Name... Vonne." Ichi engaged the Virtunet and mentally opened his I/O port. Steadying himself, he acepted the upload and as a stream of glowing golden information - including the images of a young woman - uploaded to his mind. "I have utmost confidence, as ever." Ichi gave a single nod as a glyph started flashing on his HUD. Ichi mentally opened the alert as the guard addressed the two men. "Charon has confirmed a disturbance on level three..." he remarked. Hukang smiled. "Yes sir," Responded the guard. "Very odd readings too, sir. A security team has been dispatched, but..." Agent Ichi seemed to spin around instantly, startling the guard. "I'll take care of it on my way out. Hukang..." He nodded to the old-man. "Ichi..." the old man replied. Gulp went the guard as Ichi swept past towards the turbolift. Navigating a series of connecting passages he dashed towards the scene of the incident. He consulted the guards who had arrived at the scene but he already knew there was nothing to find there. He set off again, his HUD and sensors displayed the dwindling heat traces left by the intruder. If anyone could see his face they would have seen him smirk. Not so fast, he thought. Building up speed on his quarry, he found himself distracted by Nate Salem, a new officer in the Ching Corporation, who'd side-stepped from an offshore company. Surprised by his presence here, he instantly searched the company datalogs and found that Nate was currently on a three week holiday in San Tropez with his mistress. Judging by the thermal signature, this wasn't who he was looking for either, but he acted cordial to the imposter as to lull him into a sense of false security... and silently alerted a guard team. He would turn his attention to this man later. "Welcome to the Chings..." he remarked, on his way once more. The heat signature took him to one of many refuse chutes. There had been another here... but he was close. He unsheathed his vibroblade and engaged his Prism-field. Glancing around quickly, Agent Ichi entered the portal and descended into the depths... + + + Just to clarify, Ichi is the only Oni Agent working exclusively for the Chings. Only another few remain and they're in the employ of Solar-com - San being one of them. It's better that Charon put out a general alert of the disturbance and it was answered by Agent Ichi and Ching security.
  10. I've created some npcs as well as a bunch of Terrelian citizens. My npc list so far: Hukang - a high level Ching leader and mission contact for Agent Ichi. May have some relationship with other player characters here? Vulkan Crux - a high level STEELS leader, a strategic mind behind the brute force, known for his techno-harness. Oni Agents - more of these to come out of the woodwork. All are affiliated with Solar-com. I've written Hukang and Vulkan there as top-level leaders, but they can be the leaders of these factions if people want. I can upload photos of 'em if needed. I've also created a Ching guard, STEEL character, Solar-com worker and Terrelian law officer. All the faction characters are based off Computerbug's faction colour schemes/stylings and the Solar-com worker is based directly off Sandy's character. I'm sure we'll all introduce many more npcs as the story progresses. It might not be a great idea making a player a faction leader. It's not something that's the norm in any other RPG i.e. making someone the a King of the land. It'd be assumed that that player is in command of other players which might not sit well with everyone and isn't vital to the game either.
  11. That's brilliant Kaitan! Thanks very much for your support in creating this. As far as I can see the details are spot-on. This is a great reference sheet for everyone, especially Adjudicators. I've saved off the image and will update the first post with it. Your boredom has done wonders, nice one! Incidentally, there's not beem a huge presence of JD players online recently, but I'm sure it'll pick up again. As more people create characters, the larger the player base will be, the more players online at any given time and all the more Jedo Duels taking place. I'll be launching The Chosen One Tournament sign-up in a few days and am hoping it'll unite many more Jedi and Sith from across the galaxy!
  12. Ach, he's gone offline! We're so fickle around here... Hang fire for a bit and we'll see if someone else willing to rise to the challenge comes on. Feel free to PM challenges too!
  13. Seeing as it's your 1st duel Kaitan, how about I adjudicate a duel between you and YG. Up for it YG? Kaita Serrian versus Darth Wei-Gei?
  14. Haha! Man that's great, and so appropriate too what with all the clone hairstyles! The hairdstylist droids are brilliant and I love all your little details. Every Venator should have a hair salon! Cheers Oky! Aye it's not 100% accurate - only so much I could do to make it fit reasonably into a 16 x 16 area and still have space for soemone to enter! Should be taking new photos soon.
  15. I am! Need to find an adjudicator... Hmm Kaitian offline... anyone else want a duel? Roncanator? Whitefang? YG-49?
  16. Sure! Not sure if ADHO is still online though...
  17. When I open the sign-up thread for The Chosen One Tournament each player will only be allowed to enter one character. If you have more than one, you must choose which and stick with it throughout the tournament. Anyone who wants to enter the upcoming tournament must have at least one character. It is highly recommended that you play Jedi Duel to rank up your character before the tournament begins or you'll most likely find yourself going out very early!
  18. A man after my own heart - and I've got to say those changes are really nice. It makes all the difference to have the capacity for 2 pilots in the cockpit. Good work! Your adaption of the body wolooks great aswell - and it' somewhere to keep all those snowtroopers! I modded my motorised AT-AT too, just the side guns, to whmake it more accurate. I may have at adding capacity to the cockpit too now.
  19. Is anyone be able to adjudicate a duel between ADHO and myself?
  20. Excellent! You should so add that on as an epilogue.
  21. Welcome aboard Chris, nice to meet you! I've already checked out your Star Wars comic - very cool - but I've got to say your magnum opus has to be your Halo creations: your Warthog is simply breath-taking! Looking forward to seeing what else you bring to Eurobricks, but will go and check out your MOCpages... women, children, small woodland animals and - just in case - harmless inanimate objects all well hidden...
  22. Really, really big text? May I suggest using normal sized text for your post? Other than that it's nice diorama of a classic scene. I like the way you created a transparent wall so see the action from the side, while keeping the whole scene boxed in.
  23. Love those comic intros! I'll try and put one together myself as soon as I can. This Cyberpunk game is gearing up to be something special!
  24. Aye, I was in Toys R Us at Ventura Park, Tamworth the other day - they still had loads.
  25. Great comic Chris, was very entertaining to read and I really like your sets. Though the last chapter was quite dark, not just with Order 66 but the murdering the whole village part - might've been nice to see a couple of kids escaping/surviving - afterall, who reports that there was ever an incident on Tanneth?! Are you planning to do any more? Looking forward to seeing what else you come up with in the future.
