This is amazing; lovely details and a new scooter. Size is a bit small, but I'm okay with that. I wasn't crazy about the Town Hall or the Theatre, but this just might be my favourite modular building yet. Well done, Lego!

I was going to buy this at any cost, but if that's what it's going to look like, I'm going to have to pass on it. At this point, the only way I'll be buying it is if we get new Marty and Doc minifigs, but that seems unlikely.

I initially had low expectations for this theme, and was glad that I would be able to save some money for other themes... Now that I've seen the pics, I want to collect the whole theme! These six look all look like winners!

A good amount of my Lego is boxed up right now, so I hope this will do: A gathering of Christmas themed figs released by Lego over the years.

Meh, I'm not very impressed. The build itself looks unimpressive and generic (it could easily pass for any other villain's lab), so the main draw is the minifigs. Many sets with lackluster design rely on cool minifigs to sell, but the problem with this set is that Spider-man and Doc Ock aren't as great as their previous renditions, and the new minifig (Iron Fist) is a somewhat obscure character. $50 is too much for it. Even on sale I would still have to think about it.

Anybody else having trouble finding the Aztec Warrior? I've probably felt through over 120 packs (not fresh boxes) and have yet to find a single one. This is a repeat of the hassle I had finding the S6 Roman Warrior. How hard could it be to find Aztec Warrior, when he's got the giant headgear and tell-tale spear? Judging by the packs that were left behind, it looks like the Jungle Boy is the 'Demolition man' of this series; even accounting for the uneven distribution I ran across a ton of them. The Viking Woman and Tennis Player feel pretty unpopular as well.

The exclusive minifig in the upcoming minifig book has been revealed and it's Harry in a suit. Quite a missed opportunity if you ask me. Which Harry is this supposed to be? From Brickjournal via Brickset.

Wow, the zombie set and the zombies within it look great (the face of the female zombie is gruesome)! That video on the Monster Fighters' minisite really does a good job of selling the theme. Hopefully we see more of the same for other themes.

Has anybody ever seen 'Canada' & Maple Leaf Figure Keychain at any of the Lego brand stores? Are they already discontinued? According to Bricklink, those fence parts came out in 2000.

Thanks for the review, Oky! This is just about my favourite set of this wave, which is interesting because my favourite of the first wave was also the odd one out: Superman vs. Power Armor Lex. I rated it a 4/5 because I felt the helicopter could have been a better. It just feels 'off', somehow.

I'm about 50:50 on whether these are real. The pic could possibly be a hastily put together for internal use at the Lego Company, but on the other hand it is also possible that this was a decently done fake put together after Brickset reported on those Olympics rumours yesterday. I'm hoping for the former, but not completely discounting the latter. In the event that these are real, could somebody in the UK mail me a set for a fair price? Pretty please, RJH? It's too bad that we didn't get any minifigs for the Vancouver Olympics. Would have been nice!

Sorry Big Cam, I don't know what I said to offend you. I didn't insult or even imply anything negative about Americans. I just said that when Americans complain about prices, I can't help but point out they already pay the lowest prices worldwide. Where's the bad mouthing? I don't want to further derail this thread further so I'll put the rest of my response in a spoilers tag.

I don't understand why this 'TRU tax' is such a big deal; just buy from any of the other retailers selling Lego. It is nothing compared to the 'not-America tax' that the Lego Company applies to the rest of the world (30-50% more). (Sorry, couldn't resist bringing up that old chestnut, especially when Americans complain about high prices).

I haven't got any chrome minifigs, so I will definitely get my hands on this come May. Thanks for the post, ACPin! Not as nice as having a Chrome C-3PO, but this is a good enough substitute! I wonder if they will have free shipping during May?

Wow! Two things: 1. I need to get my hands on this! Thanks for the heads-up, ACPin! 2. Lego is really pushing exclusive minifigs with the Super Heros themes. As long as they aren't too hard to acquire (like the ones exclusive to cons) I am okay with this.

Thanks for the review, CorneliusMurdock! I'm excited to see the other two reviews! For me, this set is only average. While I like Captain America and his nicely printed shield, I'm not a fan of the aliens or their glider/missile launcher; to be honest, they look horrible (I don't care how movie-accurate they are). In the end, this set is still worth the purchase, as long as Captain America stays exclusive to this set.

Wow, this is really great! I must commend your attention to detail; the challenges from the first book and the Chambers of Secrets you placed in the base really impressed me. What is the tan tower in the middle without a sand green roof (the one made of stacked Plate, Modified 3 x 2 with Hole)? I don't recognize it. Looking at your MOC, it kind of makes me sad that the Harry Potter theme/movies/books are over, but I guess we can still enjoy what we've got so far.
