They really aren't that different, but people will constantly complain about something. I do it all the time :P

I don't think these sets pale in comparison to the 2015 sets, but I don't think 2016 is better either. I think both years are pretty even. 2015 did somethings that I liked, ditto for 2016. It also had certain things I did not like. The Toa in general though I feel are better over all than last year.

Wow where to begin....I actually love Pohatu. I like the tan, I love his mask...Im very impressed by him. I think my favourite mask of them all though is Gali's...Onua is a must buy for me. I think I have my three Toa picked out!:D

From the descriptions released in French a few weeks back....it sounds like the mask gimmick is still present with these figures unfortunately :S

So I had a random thought just now, while attempting to study for mid-terms....what if some of the combos are not used in the same way? I'm shooting in the dark here, but I wonder whether Onua's gappy torso fits some kind of purpose...in this case, maybe his combo with Terak looks different from the combination Kopaka and Melum have. So, instead of having the paws on top of the basher ribcage pieces, maybe place them to the sides of Onua, thus covering up some of those gaps? Wrap the purple claws around the torso and you have an all-new bulky Onua! Pohatu and Lewa I can imagine using a similar design...since both creatures have multiple legs, maybe wrap them around Lewa/Pohatu and give them a new armoured look, rather than having all the creatures just connect to the Toa's heads and hang off of them. I dunno. It's an idea that popped into my head. Also, I attempted to draw the Earth combination....it looks pretty cool to me :P

Oh they're all there..for some reason Lewa's symbol is much bigger than those of the other Toa. Gali's is orange, Onua's, Pohatu's, and Kopaka's are grey...I'm not sure why...and Tahu's is incorporated into his blue design.

Ok so....someone on TTV posted these hi-res versions of the Italian store images of Lewa and Pohatu. I feel that the details are much more clearly seen than in the old leaks.

I checked when they releasethose artworks. Tahu was August1st, Pohatu was September 2nd, Lewa was October 2nd...that does not seem to show that they release the art late into the month at all.

Personally, I think there's too much going on there with the arm-swinging, waist rotating functions. If Kopaka is built that way though, I wouldn't be against it. I just think that's excessive. Personally speaking of course. Also, there has been no month art for November from LEGO. I wonder why that is...

It's a pretty easy fix. Just replace the golden shells with red, keep his red mask on for the unity form. I would keep the golden feet though. I like those. With that said, I honestly don't see much wrong with how golden he is. Golden boy Tahu. He is pure gold. A treasure to behold. ....December....please come soon.....

Has there been any word on when we might see the sets? I mean official images, not sets being released now or anything like that. Perhaps tomorrow with the contest winner announcement? I did ask a LEGO employee recently, they said likely the images would be revealed in a few days. I wouldn't take that as absolute certainty, but...it's definitely possible.

I wonder why LEGO's becoming increasingly secretive with themes coming out in round two months...or have they always been like this? (I don't remember it being like this for themes that aren't officially licensed)

Has anyone noticed that the bottom of the pic says that you can get more information about these new sets on the bionicle website? I wonder if this will be available this weekend once the mask maker contest is concluded. I think Umarak is pretty cool, but I'm still not sure about Tahu. I like all the trans-neon orange pieces, it'll make him look much more fiery...but I'm not sure about all that gold. It's very noticeable now....hmm.....it'll be interesting to see the other combinations/toa.

Yeah the new Toa I think will be somewhat preferable for me than the Toa of '15....but I still can't say for sure. '15 was an amazing year filled with my first sweep of favourites wave in Bionicle...ever. I love all the protectors, all the Toa. I cannot say any of the sets are bad per se....and that's a massive change from the old Bionicle for me at least. Come on LEGO....official pics!!! Post 'em!

I agree. I think the fact that they have different functions at all is really cool. Gotta love variety.

Also, these Toa are going to be massive. I can imagine that they'll be much bigger in every sense than their '15 counterparts.

I'm super interested in seeing how Tahu is build and what he'll look like....I just completed my protector collection with Narmoto being my last purchase....my goodness does that figure GLOW...if he's any indication, Tahu may have a lot of that fiery glowy-look which I would totally love. I'm actually not fond of the new shells they're using for his upper leg....and by that I mean they put the leg armour on better with Kopaka than Tahu...but otherwise....Gali may have trans dark blue shells...and I love the PoW and his shells...she may have vaulted into number one spot for me, which is extremely surprising to say the least, since I thought I would like her the least....but then again, it turns out the sets I thought I'd like least, in hand, became my favourites!
