Also, I remember there was mention about a Rebel Hangar set? Was that debunked? Or still unconfirmed? I wonder if it might be a playset with Saw Gerrera's rebels.

So......has there been any news regarding the art book/the releases of art book art? It's been super quiet on that front for like a month and a half now.

Oh wow...I hope those prices aren't translated exactly into USD/CAD.....because that would be insane. The A-Wing a $50 CAD set? That's a lot for a <400 set. It looks pretty cool though. I might just go with the Scarif Trooper and be done with the wave in that case.

Yeah....the Y-Wing looks almost exactly the same as the one from 2012. The other sets are decent, but not really interesting to me.

Cold not agree more. Lewa changed drastically from animations to JtO. Kopaka did somewhat...Tahu barely had any character development in the first place, but I definitely see what you meant. Gali had almost zero character development throughout. Onua's personality also changed...and Pohatu became an angrier character. It's a shame. Overall, going ack and reaching the whole thing....JtO was pooooorly written. Fan goggles off, it's very low-quality. It's unfortunate.

The only thing we could possibly get about 2017 would be concept art I think...because I dont think sets were planned if the cancellationw as planned in 2015. Thwy qould have ceased set design for what ever was not already thought up and planned for release. Also....this interview reveals very little to me about the actual designs of the sets and their inspirations. Im not a fan of that. They gave vague descriptions of inspirations from video games...that was about it. This is disappointing.

Honestly, the only set out of all these that I actually dig is the AT-ST. The hover tank it OK. Otherwise...a pass for me.

Just got General Magmar's SmoD and it is fantastic! Awesome build, I LOVE the functions on that set. It looks imposing and looks excellent from which ever angle you look at it from. I would really recommend getting it :))

Just a question about copies of a third party....does that mean we cannot use techniques from other mocers? OR does that also include being not allowed to use techniques used by LEGO themselves? I've never constructed a MOC for Bionicle, this is literally my first time trying....but I really just want to participate in the contest.

Hey Dorek, did the Bionicle team at least show you any concept art or models of potential Bionicle 2017 sets? If so, what is your opinion of what could have been? Of course, if this is confidential information, then just ignore the question. I'm just really curious about the potential designs of sets. :D

Yeah.....there is honestly no other legitimate, logical reason for it being concluded the way it was concluded, except that it was selling poorly. I totally agree it was sales. Kids nowadays just do not seem to care as much about Bionicle as kids did a decade ago. If it was planned on being ended during JtO's production, this was an early choice...which I think means even the first wave of G2 did not sell well at all...add to that the fact that the skull villains most certainly didn't sell well (I honestly don't think they did) and....you have G2 getting cancelled so quickly. JtO had a different direction a few months back, that much is obvious. I'm pretty sure the plan was for Makuta to get out of the shadow realm and for the Toa to change forms again...except that LEGO decided, due to poor sales, that they needed to cut the theme completely. It's really sad....I'm not angry at LEGO or anything...I'm just very, very sad about it ending like this. I'm not understanding this reaction at all...they didn't backstab anyone. They actually ended the series (mind you, I think that was originally going to end like that, with the Toa sacrificing themselves to defeat Makuta...it just did not include extra waves of sets and some story bits) and were nice enough to send out a message about the discontinuing of Bionicle. I don't know about other themes....but that was really nice that they actually let us know.
