  1. Interesting, I didn't realize that before! I can bet that it's Disney then. This is true, I forgot about those torso's! Well hey, you never know then! I would love a UCS styled Black Pearl!
  2. I doubt that, usually Lego is very restrictive of licensed prints or parts. Example being the sword belts from pirates of the caribbean. We never saw them again because they were licensed locked, and I would believe prints are treated the same way because you can't order licensed figs off of pick a brick.
  3. It's really sad that this ship failed because it was quite beautiful! However, maybe that's why it failed? Because Lego is giving us it this summer?
  4. Indiana Jones was my favorite theme to play with when I was 8 years old! I feel like these sets are great for kids and their imaginations!
  5. Uh, is no one going to talk about this? https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/executor-super-star-destroyer-75356
  6. I have 4 suggestions for what this could be: 1. UCS style Black Pearl: The set would be a 6 hulled piece Black Pearl with 2 different sail sets. These sail sets will resemble the ones seen in Curse of the Black Pearl with the other one being the ones we see in Dead Man's Chest or At Worlds End. It would include the iconic crew members from the 1st and 2nd film which can combine for thr 3rd movie variant. This set could be likely because of thr 100 years of Disney and the 20th anniversary of the first pirates film. 2. Eldorado Fortress/Imperial Trading Post remake: I combined these next to just due to the similarities between them. Either have a chance to be remade but are less likely due them no longer using raised baseplates. This would make the Lego company use most of the pieces included just to raise the fort. Still though, I believe either of these sets could be re-made. 3. A new Bluecoat ship (The Iron Ram?): In the comics, Governor Boradside used a massive flagship of the Imperial navy called The Iron Ram. We never saw this as a set and now would be a great time to release it. Not only did we never receive a massive bluecoat ship like the redcoats did in 2010 but it would counter the Black Seas Barracuda nicely from 2020. This would also follow Castle and how they did the classic Black Falcon and Lion Knight Cursader remakes in multiple years. I have a strong feeling that it's going to be an imperial based set and not a pirate one if it's based on the classic theme. Not only did we just get the best pirate set of all time, but releasing another pirate ship (let's say a remake of the Skulls Eye Schooner) this close after Barracuda Bay seems weird. I guess we will have to wait and see! Either way I know I'm buying this set regardless for what it is
  7. If I may plug myself, I have a newer Lego Instagram: jawsbrickworld I post three photos of each theme in order, Space, Castle, and then Pirates. There is a new post every Friday, feel free to check it out! I am currently working on some Pirate MOC's at the moment (A Spanish Galleon, Bombing Vessel, Islander statue, USS Constitution, etc.) that I think everyone will enjoy in the future! I will note that no Pirate MOC's are posted currently just because I don't want to show incomplete MOC's.
  8. I love the set but I can't help but feel meh about it, and I hate that! I have most of the Lord of the Rings sets from the past including the entire Fellowship, so maybe that is some of the reason why? I love the books and the movies however, I just was more excited for the Lion Knights Castle compared to this... Am I going to buy it, yes 100%! Just not day 1 haha. Maybe I am just a tad salty that they didn't include a fully reforged Anduril to go with the shards of Narcil but it's a beautiful set none the less. Can't wait to display it next to my upcoming Osgilith MOC I am working on!
  9. I'm actually surprised that people aren't liking these sets! These are exactly if not better than I imagined. I grew up on Indiana Jones (because I was only a kid when the original sets and video game came out) and I absolutly love these. The Fighter Plane Chase is a perfect recreation of that iconic scene, and I'm actually surprised they fighter plane looks as realistic as it does! I was expecting something terrible like the fighter plan from the Wonder Women set. Escape from the Lost Tomb looks so much more realistic than the previous model and with some simple mods it could be perfect. The Temple of Doom is also so much better than the original set and I'm glad they kept some of the minecart detail. This has always been a dream set for me. I personally love this wave and I can't wait to purchase all of them!
  10. I want to put on record that I am a huge castle and LOTR fan. So yes I am very excited about us getting a medieval village and Barad-dur possibly in 2024. Here is the Promobricks article just in case you haven't heard yet: https://www.promobricks.de/lego-leak-umfrage-2023/157463/?fbclid=PAAaYiCifqLNaWro61Ayy_-H0IuDjZ7JJ4mulvCfRuDmkO0BSwFRHHlozU52A But who else is disappointed that there is once again nothing pirate related coming out. I feel like a broken record at this point but it really seems that Lego just decided to forget one of it's most beloved themes after Barracuda Bay and the Creator 3-1 ship.
  11. Beautiful MOC from only using the parts from 40580! I also love the name and colors! I could almost see this on the same world as insectoids, well done!!
  12. My first thought would be Dutch soldiers but I know that's not very historically accurate. These hats will be perfect for Pirate towns in my opinion! I need to get a ton of these weapon packs! Great thinking on the window decoration!
  13. Oh I hate the idea...I'm trying to be as respectful as I can towards others opinions but it's hard sometimes haha. Like, does that mean the Classic Yellow Castle knights are all girls because they have pink house crest? No, of course not! And exactly my thought on the color! Thank you! Which now that you mention it...It would be nice to have a sand green or a light blue colored spaceman to go with the pink to represent other medical focuses, surgery, doctor, nurses, etc.
  14. Please explain to me how this makes any sense? Men wear uniform based on job, but women HAVE to wear pink? Also Lego officially named the pink astronaut Lenny so...
  15. All my words come from my gut and not a source. However, we are getting a ton of 18+ adults welcome sets and I believe that a D2C Black Pearl is right around the corner. If someone told us last year that we would be getting a D2C Rivendell from Lord of the Rings in 2023, no one would have believed it. Especially with Lego having such a tight friendship with Disney, it would almost be harder to convince me that we wouldn't get a Black Pearl in the next couple of years haha
  16. I would expect to see a D2C Black Pearl by next year at the earliest and 2025 at the latest. If we don't get it by then I think we could rule out ever getting one sadly (that is if there is not another film). My thoughts exactly! Hopefully they make a new movie, and if they do...hopefully it gets the Indiana Jones treatment where they make 1 set for each of the original movies and 4 or 5 sets for the new film! As much as I love Pirates of the Caribbean (literally my favorite movie franchise (as long as we skip 4 and 5 )), I almost rather have a true original theme for pirates to return! Especially with all these classic GWP's coming out! Just Imagine a GWP of an updated Sabre Island !!
  17. Oh, I think it's almost a guarantee Pirates of the Caribbean will return! Either if there is another movie, or they just come back to it like Lego did with Lord of the Rings this year. The sad thing is, I don't think we will ever get a Flying Dutchman. Lego will probably make a D2C Black Pearl eventually because it is so iconic and popular among fans. But I can't see Lego making two D2C's, especially a bigger one such as the Flying Dutchman after making the Black Pearl. The Black Pearl would sell amazingly, but the Flying Dutchman wouldn't, especially if it is more expensive. The only time Lego released two D2C's for the same theme back to back was the Michael Keaton Batman (Batmobile and Batwing), however I feel like Lego knew both would sell well because they were so different. (One being a car and one being a "plane"). Releasing two ships just doesn't seem worth it for the company.
  18. Oh man...this might be the most beautiful mechanism I have ever seen .
  19. Trust me, you aren't the only one who is hoping for a D2C Black Pearl for the 100th anniversary. Sadly I don't think we will get it until maybe next year at the earliest. My thought process is because of the Johnny Depp trial recently ending. If the trial went the other way, Disney probably wouldn't have Lego make a Black Pearl to celebrate the anniversary. So Lego couldn't prepare and design the Pearl ahead of time which means if they have a green light to make it, they would have just recently started designing it.
  20. Wait, how did you help with the development process?
  21. Hmmm I didn't think about that! I loved TF2 when I was a kid. I might have to switch my own list haha
  22. I loved Castle in the Forest! Design budget or not, it has been one of my favorite builds of all time. The building experience was amazing and I love the look!
  23. We are finally getting a brachiosaurus! It's happening!
  24. It's always a great day when you see a new Classic Spaceman color get introduced! Here is my current list: White: Explorer Black: Security/Spy Red: Pilot Blue: Captain/Commander Yellow: Communications Green: Mining Operator Grey: Cadet Pink: Medic Orange: Engineer Purple: Admiral Brown: Caretaker/Teacher Now this is just my list with my opinions, but I truly don't understand why everyone keeps devaluing the pink spaceman. Either saying they are a girl or that the white laundry bled with the red? The girl one just makes no sense to me and nor it should for you as well. You are telling me guys can choose from all these different colors but girls HAVE to wear pink regardless of job title? It makes no sense other than people just assuming pink=girl. Enough said. And then why would you assume the laundry bled? Why did no one assume that the orange spaceman had his yellow suit blended the red? Or that the green spaceman was originally a blue? Once again the only reason I can assume this is because of the stereotype that "men don't want to wear pink and it must have been an accident!". Sorry if I offended anyone but the pink spaceman is a guy named Lenny according to Lego and I believe he has his own department just like all the other colors.
  25. I would say it's probably The Black Knights because they are more prominent then the Wolfpack. However I would love either of them!
