I really like the look of this one! I don't know what it is but it does look very sharp! Good job
-
It is fantastic for parts! But I feel like once I buy it I will end up liking it too much to take it apart
-
I dont know if it was just my opinion, but do you guys think that the hobbit sets were better designed than the lord of the rings sets? Of course helms deep and orthanc dont count
-
The x cave does look fantastic from the view we can see it at fir sure! I wonder if the back will have a tan rock structure with some bone detailing. Also do you guys think that those computer screens in the x cave are stickers or prints?

It does seem weird that Lego would end a theme that has so much potential. They could do a haunted amusement park and so much more. Lego could be making a big mistake ending the theme like this

Which 2 ideas sets do you guys think will get passed?

Video Review- Imperial Trading Post set #6277

Eldorado fortress is a beautiful set and personally I don't think any fortress for the "good guys" can ever replace it -
I'm going to have to go with your two bandits for sure

Video Review- Imperial Trading Post set #6277

The rock island is easily the best pirate base ever made -
No I'm saying that Lego could have only made a bank for $50 instead of a modular
-
The crane does look quite lovely! The rock structure is nice on its own but adding those tan 1x1 tiles on it makes it look amazing! Great job!

These look really sharp! Its a shame there not in a physical Lego minifigure! Oh well they look really nice! The German units are easily my favorite

My thought on why they didn't make anymore sets was because it would be hard to do. For example minas turith would have been $120-$150, osgiliath would have been $100-120, mount doom would have been around $50-$70, and maybe grond would have been $60-$70. My point is that if they wanted to do the sets "good" it would have to be expensive. No kid can buy 3 $100 sets. So it almost seemed that it was out of the question for Lego. Another one of my assumptions is that they only had licensing for 5 waves of sets. 2 for the hobbit (back when the hobbit was only supposed to be 2 movies) and 3 for lord of the rings. When Peter Jackson changed it to 3 hobbit movies Lego could only do 2 waves for lord of the rings. So sadly I don't think we were ever going to get a third wave for lord of the rings

Vintage LEGO 6018 Battle Dragon !Review!
azog replied to VintageLegoEra's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
How much is this set running in the after market right now? -
D2C'S this year are great, there almost fantastic. But there not D2C's. This year Lego made some sets that didn't have to be D2C's. The brick bank, that could have only $50. The assault on hoth I would say $120. You get the point, it could be just me. My first D2C was the temple of airjitzu and that was a FANTASTIC set.
-
Oh now this got interesting! Haha. So now I think your on to something, what happens if the battle grounds is actually a training facility for the Wu cru? You know like the one from the advertisements that Lego puts out
-
That is an interesting theory! How your saying not connected to rise of the villains or skybound sadly isn't true. I'm sorry I don't have a link at the moment but brickset says that its part of the rise of the villains. And a set not connected to the theme will be truly amazing! Especially how amazing the temple of airjitzu was. No villains and just hero's! Overall though great theory, lets hope its true!

I have not uploaded any of my creations to Lego ideas, and I always want to make my MOC's or layouts look good on a shelf but a kid can still have fun with them

Its a fantastic set, we don't get enough of these mini builds anymore sadly, overall great review for a fantastic little set! -
Thank you for the comments! I was surprised my self for how well it turned out! I had like 50 of those big black window molds and I wanted to put them in good use.

That is exactly what it is based off of, it was just a tower so I thought I would make it the front gate. Thanks for the comment Thank you for the comment, it is always appreciated! I wanted to make it where it looks nice on a shelf but a kid can still have fun with it The dark green and the black makes it a perfect evil feel to it, thanks for the comment
