  1. @q_biq: Aha, I figured I could be wrong (comparing your dimensions to mine)! The photos really undersell the large awesomeness of this behemoth creation!
  2. Indeed, for its 8x8 diameter, but there could be more to the design underneath that would make reducing the height difficult, perhaps @q_biq? Does look great still!
  3. @q_biq Research is certainly has its benefits! I still scour the internet for new AT-AT creations and look forward to doing more research with the official UCS set, before I get back to redesigning my walker. The leg design on your walker looks fantastic; Technic and all!
  4. Never a bad time to see "Yet another AT-AT!" It's a big reason why I still hang around this forum; hoping to see a new AT-AT creation, and yours does not disappoint! This is a hefty build and I am shocked it's packed with 6,000+ pieces not even including the base! The pictures does not do your creation justice; it's bigger than I imagined! My current WIP was around 6,126 pieces and dimensions 52cm x 18cm x 60cm. Very clean build, nicely designed, and well presented!
  5. Yeah, the doors are unforgivable. I could care less that the Minifigures didn't reflect the wishlist(s). I mean they asked for suggestions instead of offering concrete options to vote on and be obligated to fulfill. The cannons I could possibly turn a blind eye to but not to the doors, its flaws are hard to overlook. The problem is furthermore exaggerated by the sudden widening in the middle of the ship. When the Gunship was announced the winner, I looked forward to a day-one purchase and my first UCS set. However, after the reveal and the set images, the doors jutting out when closed is glaringly obvious and a big turn-off. It certainly could be modified but that's beyond the reason why I would purchase a set in the first place because I am pleased with its original design.
  6. Fun build, but now, I can't get out of my mind that he's riding a unicycle with his hands behind him!
  7. Over half who voted chose the LAAT—I love democracy, I love the Republic Gunship! I would have been content if the Gunship did not win (I thought it wouldn't due to the supposed "Imperial interference"), but hearing this puts a smile on my face I'm actually surprised so many like the Gunship, but I guess it's mostly due to the TCW. However, I am confident, and expecting they will make a set based on the appearance from AOTC, not the cartoon. Anyway, I would have like to see the numbers for how many individuals voted and how many votes each option received?
  8. Nicely done!
  9. Have you tried using the connect feature?
  10. It could be the possibility of illegitimate votes cast by fake accounts?
  11. My vote is the Gunship. I thought about making my own, but I may reconsider at the chance of an official one, or wait, so I could borrow some techniques From the looks of the comment section, the Gunship seems to be claiming the most votes, besides those clamoring for a "501st Battle Pack"<
  12. Great looking scene! The simplicity of its construction is nice, and I especially like the doors!
  13. I prefer the new lever design for the S-foil mechanism; it takes less effort as well as time to engage it, and it could be done in one hand.
  14. Wow, this is nice!
  15. The rebuilt turret looks fantastic! What's it connected to?
  16. It'll be an interesting this endeavor nonetheless; many of those vehicles (like the AT-ST in particular) disregard the physics of LEGO.
  17. They look highly detailed despite the small size! Though, is the A-Wing truly this small compared to the others? I notice the improvements on the Y-Wing that you shared in the other topic (the medium blue looks great), but did make any improvements on the other Starfighters?
  18. Nice project! Most vehicles are taken straight from the sets, so which one do plan to build next?
  19. I don't mind Kylo so much, but I can't get behind his tantrums or how clumsy he is with a Lightsaber. To the former, I suppose he is the grandson of his mother's father? With the confidence they showed in creating their MCU, I wish the same at least happened in their treatment of Star Wars. I believe such a risky decision to make their own Star Wars would ultimately paid off. The irony is strong with that line. I wonder if they actually meant that towards the fans disgruntled about her character .
  20. Even if I do not get the sets, I appreciate the overflow of ideas, and like to revel in the creativity behind them. Though I can understand how bothersome it must be for completist to keep up with the hobby, especially when prices continue to escalate and the instances of lackluster sets.
  21. That's what I believe keeps the franchise alive; the other forms of media to engage with and remain invested in the Star Wars universe. It did so after the PT period and could do so again in this gap of time we'll have after TROS. I don't think LEGO will skip a beat, not for a second. Maybe from the prospect of past characters making an appearance from the other side we could finally get official Force Ghost minifigures at some point? It's past time. It would be a missed opportunity if they didn't. I definitely felt RO vibes from the glimpse of the amassing Rebel fleet—looks like an awesome battle will follow. Maybe the horses are symbolism for Disney's last ride on nostalgia Before they break away and develop their own Star Wars universe, free from the "bit" of canon.
  22. No. If it's too similar to pre-existing topics or does not really fit on this site, then it should be closed. I won't be bothered. This was just an idea I had in the afternoon, but reflecting back now, it may only fit within the intended focus of this site by a hair. I just thought it would be a tamer place here than the likes of reddit
  23. It might depend on how pivotal of a scene it is. But it also does not seem like something kids, and fans in general, would want to buy when looking for Star Wars sets. I suppose if LEGO ever wanted to adapt the more geared to girls Forces of Destiny into their mini doll sets then it might work by a stretch. Thinking of space horses, that whole casino adventure from TLJ was not adapted into LEGO (probably for good reasons). It’d be disappointing to see TROS underrepresented like RO and Solo. The Rebellion fleet by itself is a wealth of material to make sets from. These main films usually do well at the box office despite the differing opinions. Though, I wonder for how long does LEGO decide to produce sets for a particular film, regardless of its success?
  24. I felt the same on every point! I don't care for the story so much but I want to guiltlessly enjoy some Star Wars action. So, I hope the movie is cracked up to what this teaser hypes it to be! True. I only visit this part of the site, so I didn't consider it beforehand. LEGO things could be discussed, but then it wouldn't be any different than the topics already going around…
  25. A new preview for the upcoming film was released… So what are your thoughts this far? Feel free to share anything! Here are mine:
