Axle Collection Thread
Jurss replied to efferman's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
OK, yes it is FWD or AWD. Then only some tricky solutions are possible, I suppose, as You have written. What is the width to scale? With gearing at the diff You can make narrower (1 stud), or even bring out diff somewhere. OK, now we have that 5L axle with CV joints, which does the same as in my example. That could be in scale, or really close to that Just as an example, what I mean with gearing at the diff, I think I have seen also steered solution. -

Don't use hubs, use these or those other small "hubs", but they are weaker, and not so available. Torsion is easy :) some axle -

Jurss' Workshop

Yes, of course, I forgot I have those parts :) I will try to make some 2L version then, so it could work with smaller wheels, as that 3L version is usable only with wheels starting from D 49.5 -
Jurss' Workshop

Almost no progress (somehow no inspiration) on buggy, just some idea for side But then came idea, if 'new' suspension triangles are possible to use with shock absorber. And this is the result Steering linkage needs to be adjusted, maybe those latest with 90' orientation could help here. Hub As You can see, it is littlebit illegal, as I need to fit in the middle 1L pin with stud, and connect both black parts with grey one, where wheel axle is inserted. Here is some kind of explode view -
General Part Discussion
Jurss replied to Polo-Freak's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
I think there were some pictures here with melted internals. It is plastic, it is not intended for heavy (long) use. But there is this option and other parts for heavy use https://metal-technic-parts.com/products/metal-wheel-hub-with-sealed-bearings-compatible-with-lego-technic-like-11950-92909- 5,505 replies

That is the only legal option. Anyway, consider, that suspension parts will be close to the ground, if there will be steerable axle. With non stearable there is option to get better clearance.- 5,505 replies
