  1. Jeez, it’s even worse than I remembered.
  2. I would’ve preferred a Quinjet to this. At least then we could’ve gotten some new figures and even if we didn’t we probably would’ve gotten the main Avengers team which is always nice to get. Plus, the Quinjet is a really nice and sleek design and would have lots of interior space for figures as a UCS style set. This Hulkbuster just isn’t worth the $160 and it doesn’t even come with all the figures it should come with (where’s the Hulk??).
  3. There’s a build video of the Carnotaurus up on YouTube. I’m more disappointed in it now, since it really is way too big. I think I would’ve preferred that they use the raptor body and make it too small rather than make it this oversized. The head looks small and weird to me and the mouth looks strange when it’s closed (the video confirms that it can indeed close all the way).
  4. I think the best we can hope for is one of the Explorer vehicles with a couple figures and one dinosaur. I see no reason for them to make the T. rex since we’ve already gotten the same one twice now. If the set is $30-50 the best bet is a Velociraptor.
  5. Oh, maybe it is! I didn’t even think of that.
  6. If you look at pictures of the Hulkbuster from AoU, the legs are extremely thick and almost as thick as the main body at the top. The legs just don’t have the width that they should. I love the base. If you look at the front of the box, it seems that the information tile folds down flat into the base which is interesting to see. I wonder what the two little builds on the work table are...
  7. D2C and Lego Store exclusive are the same thing. I remember seeing a list of D2Cs a few weeks ago. Nothing was unaccounted for except for the “Licensed IP” set which is Hogwarts. The D2Cs for 2018 are The Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition, Star Wars 1, Creator amusement park set, Creator vehicle set, Hogwarts, Star Wars 2 (Cloud City), and the unknown Winter Village set.
  8. I know there was a picture floating around yesterday of a giant Hulkbuster that was open to show Iron Man inside. That’s a MOC, but the picture of the box that we’re all discussing is definitely a real set.
  9. I don’t think there are light up bricks in the hands. If you look closely, it doesn’t seem like there’s room for one. I think there’s just one in the chest.
  10. If the 7th set is indeed a summer release like the Civil War one was, I’m hopeful that it’ll include a proper Thanos since the set would have been designed later and it’s possible they had time to fix the figure.
  11. Thank you, I didn’t notice that! I didn’t think the hands had enough room for light bricks and I assumed it was just artistic license and the pieces would be transparent to represent light. I’m glad that it lights up, that makes it a lot more interesting.
  12. I’m interested to see the piece count and see if it actually does have light bricks. There’s no marking on the box exclaiming “Light Brick Included!” like sets with those bricks usually have. I’d also like to see it next to a set like the Helicarrier for a size comparison. 11 inches isn’t very tall and if the legs can’t move forwards and backwards either then I’m going to be even more disappointed.
  13. The minifigure that comes in this set is the Mark 43 leaked at the start of December. The one with a clear head and missing pieces from the chest and legs.
  14. Oh, right! I forgot about that for a minute there. I guess there is a market for it, but I feel like a mass appeal set like a UCS Quinjet would work better since it appears across so many movies and the Ultron Hulkbuster was only in that single movie. I was really hoping to see some of the Infinity War figures we were missing in this set.
  15. I’m definitely getting this, but I have super mixed feelings about this set. I agree that the legs are undersized but the base is very nice and the set looks very well detailed. My main fear still persists, though- it just doesn’t look like a $160 set. Maybe I need to wait for official pictures but if I didn’t have so much VIP money saved up I wouldn’t be buying this at full price. The robotic arms and extra Hulkbuster arm is cool and the go to sleep function looks like it’ll be fun, but I think the Hulk should have been in this set too. Only one figure is kind of ridiculous especially when they could’ve filled the set with 4 or 5 new armors that we haven’t gotten. Edit: And I still can’t get over what a strange choice this set was. I didn’t think anyone was clamoring for a UCS Hulkbuster, yet they made one and from Age of Ultron no less and not the movie coming soon. I would’ve preferred a UCS Quinjet over this since at least we’d have more than 1 figure and we’d get interior space for minifigures. Second edit: I was just looking closer at the legs, and it looks like they use 2 or 3 of the regular ratcheting joints on the new figure scale Hulkbuster, which means that the legs wouldn’t be able to move forwards and backwards and can only splay out to the sides.
  16. The regular Hulkbusters in the $30 sets are already out of minifigure scale since they’re too big, so definitely not.
  17. We’re getting double points just two weeks later so it would be a bit odd to do only double points on Marvel sets. A polybag would be great, but I doubt it would happen since we haven’t heard anything.
  18. I wonder what the special offers that the calendar promises are...
  19. The Talon Fighter is an amazing design and a great set. It’s one of my favorite Lego Marvel vehicles, right up there with the original Milano and second Quinjet.
  20. Lego is a toy company making products marketed towards children. Very few sets are made for adults since children are the target audience. It makes perfect sense.
  21. Still no calendar. I hope we’ll see it today but it might take until tomorrow or the day after...
  22. Thanos being in the corner for box art really reinforces how the Russos said that he’s the main character of Infinity War for me. I’m starting to think more and more that Lego knew he wouldn’t have his helmet but just couldn’t/wouldn’t make a new mold for his figure.
  23. Have you seen it?
  24. There’s only one BrickHeadz set and that’s a Walmart exclusive. It looks to be a two pack, like the Comic Con ones.
  25. Yeah, but the D2C wouldn’t be for Avengers 4 since it’s well over a year away, and the 7th set isn’t for Avengers 4 either. I’m expecting a figure for her in the regular Avengers 4 sets next March if we don’t get any sets for Ant-Man and the Wasp.
