  1. Personally, I would love to see something different. I have always wanted to build an articulated boom lift using pneumatics. This could be a full RC model with pneumatics to operate the various boom elements. http://www.genielift.com/en/products/boom-lifts/articulating-booms-engine/z4525/index.htm

  3. This is one of the coolest models I have seen. I'm not normally a motorcycle fan but the perfect blend of chrome colours make this model really stand out. It only adds to the really nice details you added in making a realistic engine too. Incredible job.
  4. If you can swing it, both, but buy 42009 first. 42009 Has been out for a while and probably wont be in circulation for more than another year or so (I think, I may be wrong on this). Its a great kit with tons of parts and a lengthy build time which I found pretty fun. The Arocs won't be released until august or so, which means it will be difficult to find in North America for quite some time after release (this might be a local Canadian problem, things usually lag a bit behind here). It will be in circulation for quite some time after release, allowing more time to save up if required.
  5. Many years ago, I fell in love with 8466. I had'nt purchased any lego for many years but this set had everything. Working suspension, 4 wheel drive, differentials, working transmission, huge wheels and a massive collection of parts I had never seen! I immediately bought the power puller after building the Offroader and started buying used technic sets online to bolster my collection. I took a hiatus for many years after this though and I had a similar experience this year. Recently I discovered 42009. It was released on my birthday, and I loved it instantly. Linear Actuators (something I always wanted in Lego), TONS of gears, gearboxes, lots of functions, and it was a crane (I love construction equipment). I waited a bit to purchase it as I had just bought a house and money was tight, but after buying that set, it got me back into Lego in a ridiculous way. In the last 4 months I have bought: 42009 42008 42024 42028 42030 42006 and 2 of the 8293 PF Sets
  6. Speaking as an an adult returning to the hobby after a 10 year hiatus, I actually like this set. I missed out on a lot of advancements in Technic over the last while so this set was a fantastic learning experience as to how current Technic Power functions, LA's and pneumatics can work together. Is it my favorite set? - No, but it was a great parts pack for my collection, and it was the first set in quite some time with pneumatics (I missed out on getting a Unimog). Playability is a bit lacking, but it does have a reasonable number of functions, and it comes in green which is something my collection was short on. I don't regret my purchase, but I may have a different perspective. I got a lot of pieces that I have simply missed out on over the last few years.
