  1. \Thanks. I'll try that out the next time I see a display case.
  2. Does anyone know how to feel for a Goblin? I really like the figure but I'm having no luck getting one.
  3. Nah,it's fine. If I gave away where the conversation took place, it wouldn't take too much of a stretch for a person here to find out about my personal life, which I'm not inclined to share here. It's a privacy thing, and the user wasn't anonymous. I should have clarified before that he said the new theme was very similar to Fantasy Era, as in there being non-human factions involved. He also cannot vanish, unless he deletes his account, which wouldn't make sense because he has many friends on the site. As I mentioned, this guy is a Chima fan, and after researching the two designers he named, I found that they both had a hand in Chima. I've decided to copy and paste some of what he said: "Yes I am NOT a Lego informative, but, I do, and One is not lying here, have very strong connections with the Lego Group I.e I regularly have talks with the designers personally and am also kept up to date by Lego of the goings on!" " It is quite an obvious thing that yes, Indeed, Castle, or the fantasy part of it is coming back! " "Samuel Johnson and Henrik Andersen are the Designers I talk to by the way, mind You I believe its said (Hine-rick han-der-son) as far as He's told Me!" "I am meeting up with a Designer this June-July, alas it may seem fairly far away, but in theory the new Castle sets are not to be released till early 2016! But when I can, I shall keep you up to date....." I then asked him if the new sets will come out in January. "Round about then (most likely January - March), Yes, and I certainly will comment when I hear anything else!" ^ There you go.
  4. True, true...... I guess I was lucky that I was 1 for 1 than! Durins Bane said that his store manager would be told more about the new theme on March 1st.....I have no Idea what my guy was thinking, though. I don't know why the others were able to get info, but do note how all of these guys only new the bare minimum info-wise.
  5. ^ Because I don't think that Just2good or the other "real" leakers randomly go around quizzing store employees . And, anyway, everyone has to start somewhere, right? When one of these "normal leakers" first shared some news, no doubt there was skepticism. How could so many people, from several different continents, all get the same news? Because it's true. Lotr's over, so why wouldn't you make a fantasy theme?
  6. The same guy has now confirmed March as the drop-dead date for the release of FEII. So it's a spring wave this time....interesting....
  7. Guys, this is pretty cool. I was talking to some guy (who claims to have strong ties to Lego) on the Interwebz about Legends of Chima. In our conversation, I asked if he was aware that Castle could possibly be Chima's replacement. The guy I was talking to said he has talked to Lego designers frequently (He mentioned Henrick Anderson and Samuel Johnson by name), and he was able to confirm to me that he was told by a designer that Fantasy Era Castle is 100% coming back. I am currently trying to get more info, but don't expect it anytime soon. So, THIS is something! What do you guys think?\ Update: The same person has confirmed that the new Castle sets will be released in January of 2016. He is meeting with the Castle designer in June or July.
  8. The current Elves line screams "One year theme" to me. Find the keys, plug them into the portal, send the girl back home. I'm sure if the sets sell well, Lego will expand the storyline, but the storyline right now makes it obvious that Lego can just end the theme in the first year and say it was a complete story, which is technically true. I think that we'll get Elves in the second or third year of FEII, because Lego would play it safe just incase Elves does well. Introducing Elves in Castle in, say 2017, would be alright because if Elves does well, it'll have an established fan base and the two themes by then will likely be very different from each other due to one being action oriented and the other being scenario-oriented. I can't wait for March 1st! (Well, maybe I can...)
  9. Thanks for replying so quickly. Interesting to see how so many of us got this info a year (or more) before the theme is supposed to come out. Maybe it's bigger than we thought?
  10. Wow! Nice post. 1. I'm leaning on a winter release for the new theme, given the info we have so far and how it pieces together. 2. Who told you about the new line? I'm curious because so far it's only been store managers (the first four times), so it'd be interesting to see if the rumor is from someone higher up. 3. I think 3-5 factions is realistic and likely. I think that the best option (that would satisfy everyone ) is this: Year one: Good guys: Axe Knights Bad guys: Goblins Year two Good guys: Axe Knights, Elves Bad guys: Trolls, Goblins Year three Good guys: Elves, Dwarves Bad guys: Black Falcons, Trolls, Evil Druids Year four (final battle) Good guys: Elves, Axe Knights, Faeries Bad guys: Druids, Black Falcons, Goblins It could use improvement, but it's probably realistic in Lego's eyes. I do agree that we will get a VERY heavy dosage of Fantasy in the new line because I'm sure that the designers have had since 2011 to think up new Fantasy ideas because Lotr was blocking them from making new FE sets. Bring on FEII.
  11. Waiting for new Castle sets.

  12. Time for me to make a dream set list..........
  13. ^^ Well, I directly asked my manager if it would be a mini-doll line or anything that doesn't involve regular Castle sets and he responded with a grin and a resounding "Nope!". Also, post #126 says his manager told him "It would be an awesome year for a person who likes epic fantasy", and since the user is male, I don't think he was referring to Elves. @Durins Bane, in your original post, you said he couldn't say anything. Great to know we now have another source, though! Did he say anything about the release date?
  14. Well, we already have three separate sources saying the same thing, so now we have to wait until August. I like how people always have a discussion going here because I know that there is a lot of pent-up frustration with Castle (or lack of) in the past 3 years, and they are expressing what's been on their minds during that time. It's much easier to accept slightly off-topic discussions here, rather than the other pinned threads here, for that reason. If you feel that we need to directly talk about Castle 2016 here, then maybe we should go and find a fourth source. I would also like more news.
  15. Well, I imagine that someone owns the properties to the Robin Hood story, so Lego would have to obtain rights from them.
  16. Abe Lincoln and Cleopatra aren't movies or books (at least just by themselves). Not really the same. A agree with the second part though.
  17. That's why a Robin Hood theme is very unlikely. No new movies. If Lego were to make RH sets, however, they would be fleshies because all Lego licenses have flesh minifigs. Take the Star Wars Geonosis Troopers BP, for example. Is it based off of a specific Star Wars vehicle? Yes. Is it a Star Wars set? Yes. So that's why it has fleshie figs.
  18. But that would mean fleshies The Forest men are more my speed, as they are similar to Robin Hood, but they have the right skin tone to fit in with the others. I wish they'ed bring back the Forest men and elaborate on them a little.
  19. If the new theme were to be modular, I would really like the modularity to apply of other structures as well as castles, like Goblin caves or Elf tree hideouts. I would also like more than two sets to mix (Gatehouse and Castle) so I wouldn't run out of combinations as easily. "The possibilities are endless", right, Lego?
  20. Oh,my......I forgot about this one, with good reason! On the bright side, I'm pretty sure that the Lego sets nowadays aren't influenced by illegal substances....... (Just kidding) I'll guess I'll redo that last post..... I don't see Lego trying to go back to anything KKII related ever again
  21. I can't see Lego putting knights wearing heavy chainmail and riding on horses suddenly flying. I'm hoping for a Fantasy-style super theme that's way bigger than Castle 07, and also has a tv show.
  22. Wow! No one has said anything about this post yet? I want to thank you for finding this out and making this rumor even more likely (We now have 3 separate sources). When you talked to the manager, did you get the impression that this was a theme that could come out in January of 2016, and the reason he also said late 2015 is because some stores (TRU) bring out the new products a few months early? Good to know that Castle is definitely coming back next year!
  23. This thread is losing a little steam rumor-wise, so I think that some people here should try to find out more about the theme (like asking store employees and the like) to justify this thread as a rumor thread. It's natural to talk about what you want in a new theme, but we should find more evidence and info to keep us busy!
  24. Okay....here we go..... Classic Castle The old rivalry: Crusaders, Black Falcons The expansion: Forestmen, Black Knights The newcomers:Wolfpack, Dragon Masters The reincarnations: Royal Knights, Dark Forest The times of change: Fright Knights, Ninja SUBTHEMES The Dark Age: KKI,KKII The beginning of the revitalization: Vikings The Silver Age: Fantasy Era, Kingdoms The filler: Castle 2013 The New Age: Fantasy Era II (FEII) Criticism Welcome. Maybe we should add a poll?
  25. Back in 2009, I would argue that Castle was first tier, along with City, Star Wars, Agents and Space Police. The only reason Castle is second tier now is due to lack of releases. The same can be said for Space. I'm pretty sure Lego has realized this, as Castle (and probably Space soon) will come big bigger than their 2013 versions soon.
