    So this one came together pretty quick and I think it's my first MOC I have posted here. Fun little backstory....I asked my wife about moving her "lab" MOC that she made with her Research Insitute pieces. She asked for "a building to put it in." What you can see my below is my "Genetics Lab" MOC I made for her. I wanted a clean and modern look, so nothing ornate like my last modular. I wanted it to be functional and simple, and provide a nice place to fit the lab equipment. I also wanted a one-story building to break up the skyline of my modular street. http://imgur.com/bA1A4cv.jpg Outside view. I wanted to use the medium azure color. The vent hood design and eyewash sink was 100% her idea and was only moved into the lab by me.     The NeoGaf poster quoted last page was me (I post there often)... The Target I visited had about 5-6 of the Interception. The build is fantastic, and I REALLY like how the cockpit was handled.

    ^all signs point to it being a 1966 Bat Cave. Which will be awesome. Sort of related, but there were numerous Scooby episodes with Batman and Robin from that era.

    Halfway through first floor of Fire Brigade. Loving this build so far! The truck was a pleasant surprise. Love the ladder and the front facade. The front of the modular looks so clean but there's a lot of work going into it. Really good build thus far, and I hear it gets better.

    I thought so. Pictures showed a decent amount of dust and seller was selling off items from a teenager. I'm assuming the seller didn't really understand the value of what they had.

    For those interested, the FB was missing two minifigures, the tree and lamppost from the sidewalk and the top stud piece on the bell tower. It was $150, and the replacement parts are on the way from Bricklink, too. I'm expecting a great build, akin to Pet Shop but not quite Parisian. Are my expectations appropriate?

    Incredible! Only thing I'd add would be some handrails for the open staircase. Pool is such a clean design, love it!

    Friends, I'm pretty happy... Recently I won two ebay auctions at (I believe) much lower than expected prices. I received Grand Emporium yesterday and Fire Brigade is due to arrive tomorrow. I had planned on finding a way to grab the GE, but always assumed the FB was out of reach. I'm stoked, looking forward to building these two!

    I literally don't care for Ninjago at all.....but I love this. Wow. I'm a fan of Toshiro Mifune and older Japanese samurai movies.... Might need this.

    It's called 'Rumors and Discussion,' right? Quoting the definition of part of a thread title? Seriously? Being really condescending while 'moderating' a thread is going to discourage participation in forums like this. I've never seen this kind of attitude on a forum, much less a Lego one. A moderator can't police a thread at their personal discretion. The discussion I've seen definitely belongs here.

    This is true. I live in Atlanta, and for those wondering, the ferris wheel is ride beside an old church-turned-concert-venue, the Tabernacle (the brick building immediately to the right). It's also adjacent to a few restaurant/office buildings and apartments, across from Georgia State University. So it's entirely plausible to plop this in the middle of a city.

    Ahhhh, okay sorry about that. Makes sense. Gotta get used to vernacular from the other side of the pond. Yeah, agree to disagree. It's certainly not my favorite (that would be Parisian) but it's definitely solid. I'm really hoping Jamie does the next modular and we (finally) get a bank. Preferably on a corner.

    You keep saying 'hotel' and I have no clue what you're talking about. There's a pool hall, Detective's office, barber shop, public restroom and a kitchen. Don't know why you keep saying hotel.... And as as far as comparison to the PR, I couldn't disagree more. I think the PR blows away most modulars and is widely considered one of the best.

    Friends, I picked up the xmen vs. sentinel set for cheap and started the first bag. Surprisingly, the sentinel is a good build and looks great. I'll be building the jet tomorrow. I think it might also surprise me, but what do you all think?

    Well, friends.... Ordered Palace Cinema and a couple Easter sets. Might grab a couple more things, but glad I got the Easter sets before they are sold out.

    Hulkbuster set is the new Lex's Power Armor. For $30 it's a great value and the Hulkbuster itself is top-notch. It's also a great display set. Can't wait for the new quinjet.

    Darkseid Invasion camw today. Pretty excited. Other than Power Armor Lex, this is my first "non-Batman" DC set. Couldn't pass up the Javelin and sweet minifigures. Hope it's a good build.

    Just a heads up to everyone..my brother picked up the Pet Shop from a local Lego store in Atlanta and was told that they were told that production on the set has ended and they're now selling off what is left of the inventory. The employee said they were told their last shipment was it and the website would be selling off what is left. Heads up in case anyone is interested.

    FWIW Orthanc is my favorite LOTR set, with Unexpected Gathering second. UG was way better than it needed to be IMHO. Helms Deep was good, but after those other 2 it felt lacking.

    No mixer love I see... I want it but it's hard to pass up a modular for it. I feel like once it's built it will stay packed up. And I'm suspicious that the cinema may not make it until 2016 if they keep pet shop around longer. Are the ultron sets going to be out mid-March? Is like to grab the quinjet too if possible. PR is the best modular build I've done. That being said... I got Orthanc for Christmas and it's incredible. If you are at ALL a Lotr fan, I'd go for that first. The build is really good as it alternates between structure/exterior/interior details constantly and each floor feels different. ... And dat chandelier.
