  1. Does anyone know, or have any pics to show, if the back of those Police uniforms, from this new 3 pack set, has the "GCPD" letters on it? I am assuming they are the same torsos as the Police officers from the Arkham set, right? Can anyone confirm this yet? Thanks in advance.
  2. I actually did this exact thing. I had the Penguin from the Batcave set, and the second Penguin from the Arctic roller set, so I decided to make an Arkham Penguin out of one of them. I had a bunch of extra Arkham, orange jumpsuits, from the Joker CMF's, but I needed the short orange legs to complete the Penguin. Anyway, I bought a bunch of the micro DC sets, of the Killer Moth, and Batman one, and the Killer Moth fig comes with the short orange legs. So, that's a cheap, and readily available set, where you can get the short orange legs, and make an Arkham Penguin fig. I also, bought a bunch of that Killer Moth micro set, and used the extra Killer Moths, as Killer Moth henchmen. I had the regular sized Killer Moth from the Scarecrow set, so I didn't need another one. What I did is made mini Killer Moth henchmen, by adding the Lone ranger, masked heads to them, with the short orange legs, and put the rubber, green Moth helmets on them. They make perfect little Killer Moth henchmen.
  3. That sucks dude, sorry to hear that. Btw, how do you know that a whole box was stolen? Did the workers tell you? Cause its possible that maybe the box is somewhere in the store, on a wrong shelf, or hidden.
  4. Now, I finally know for sure that the Arctic roller is at Target, awesome. Did you put it together yet? How is it?
  5. You should be ashamed of yourself! For not sharing these SOONER. They were too awesome to have been kept from us, lol.
  6. I found it on Thursday, at a Toys R Us in NYC, Staten Island, specifically. It was the ONLY one in the store, on the shelf. IDK if they had more, and sold them, and I happened to get the last one, but it was the only one, when I got there. They had many of each, of the Scuttler, Croc, Catwoman, Clayface, and Joker balloon sets, but just one Arkham. There was a $149.00 sticker on the shelf, right under the set. I bought that with the Scuttler set, which had a $59.99 sticker under it, but that sticker was for a different set. However, when they rang up, at the cashier, the Arkham set rang up for $179.99, and the Scuttler for $94.99. I told the cashier that there was a $149.99 sticker for the Arkham set, and that I thought the Scuttler SHOULD have been cheaper. She could not do anything without a manager, so she called one over. When the manager came, I eventually had to wind up walking her over to the sticker that said $149.99, to show her. Since it was the last set, she pulled the sticker off and brought it back to the register, where they used it to ring up the set at $149.99, in stead of $179.99. I also told her, when we were at the selves, that I thought the Scuttler set should have been cheaper too. She, very nicely, changed its price to $59.99, instead of $94.99, even though the $59.99 sticker was for another set. I feel like I scored, and was very happy to get two of the bigger sets, discounted. I would have even bought a second Arkham set, if they had it, especially for $149.99. I have NOT opened it yet, but have been staring at the box, like a poor kid in the toy store, highly anticipating when I will. My goal is to get a second set, and combine them into one bigger Arkham, hence why I haven't opened it. I went to a second and 3rd Toys R Us, yesterday, and none of them had the Arkham sets. They did have the other newer sets, including the new Riddler set, which I picked up, buy NO Arkhams. The only newer set I am missing, is the Penguins arctic car, and getting a second Arkham. I think, either the first, or second day, after the official release date, I will go to a Lego store in New Jersey, and get them thee. I am hoping the Lego stores will have the exclusives, Like Arkham, and Arctic. So far I have not seen an Arctic set anywhere, and only the one Arkham at Toys R us. Does anyone know what store is going to be selling the Artic roller set?
  7. Hey GoldenNinja, you asked, so I got some info for ya. Hope it helps. I did NOT open my Arkham set, yet, as I am waiting to buy another to combine them into one big Asylum. However, I did open and put together, the Scuttler set. The Poison Ivy in bothe sets, has the same hair piece, so it doesn't matter, and I am still able to answer your question. Her hair IS the biggest it has been, for a Poison Ivy figure, to date. It is definitely one of the biggest hair pieces out there, for a female character. In direct comparison, I have one of each in my hands now, of the last version of Poison Ivy, before this new one, and the new one. On the other version her hair would go slightly below her shoulders. In this newest version, her hair actually goes down below the BOTTOM of her torso, slightly BELOW the top of her legs. Its very long in the back. It is also a bit thicker coming out further off the back of her head, and back. Both Ivy figures have a curl that comes off the top, right side of their heads, and then hangs over the front, right side of their shoulder/torso. The newer Ivy figures curl is also thicker on top, and hangs a bit lower, too, over the front of her right shoulder/torso. So, in short, her hair is much bigger than her last hairpiece. It is thicker, longer, slightly taller, and all around bigger. There are green leaves colored, on the back of her hair, and a molded, white flower, on her left side of her hair. You may feel it is too big for your tastes, and it is indeed much longer, and bigger. I, however, think she looks GREAT, and the hairpiece is AWESOME. Based on the outfits of her, and the other figures in the Scuttler set, it seems like they were at a party, and are all dressed in fancy gowns, suits, etc. This may have contributed to her hairpiece being fuller, and made to look like she is attending a formal outing. That being said, it is the same hairpiece she has in the Arkham set, so her hair is all primped out, for jail too, lol. Again, I cannot stress how great this figure is, and her hair is part of why. Poison Ivy, always deserved long, flowing, red hair, with leaves, and flowers, and NOW she has it. She no longer looks like a villains, sidekick, but instead as a top villain, in her own right.
  8. Yes, I will. I have the Scuttler set, too, and it looks like Ivys hair piece is the same in both sets. Most likely I will be opening the Scuttler first, so I can let ya know from that set first. I had a feeling that the Arctic set was exclusive. Do we know which store its exclusive too?
  9. I SCORED today my friends. I went to a TRU's in my old neighborhood, in the next state over. They had almost ALL the new sets on the shelves. As I already have the Batcave, Mr Freeze, Lowrider, Killer Croc, all the CMF's and Batmobile sets, I didn't need to get them. However, I got the Scuttler set, the Clayface set, the Catwoman cycle set, the Joker balloon set, and ARE YOU READY FOR THIS, The Arkham Asylum set. That's right, they had ONE Arkham, and it rung up $179.99, BUT the sticker under it, on the shelf, said $149.99. I had to walk a manager over, show her, and since it was the last/only set, she took the sticker off, gave it to the cashier and they charged me the $149.99. I looked EVERYWHERE for the Riddler set, and the Penguin arctic roller, but neither were there. I guess it still gives me something to look forward to getting. I thought it was weird, though, that they had everything, including an Arkham set, but not the Riddler, or Arctic Penguin roller set, weird. So far, I put together the Jokers balloon set, and the Catwoman set. I think both are very nice little sets. I am actually considering getting a few more Catwoman sets, to make a bigger Jewelry store, and then sell off the figures and cycles. The next set I will put together tonight, will be the Clayface set. That should do it for tonight, though. The Scuttler, and Arkham are staying in the boxes, at least for tonight. I am really stoked about getting the Arkham set, early. It was the set I was most looking forward too. I grabbed all the new sets today, and then found the ONLY Arkham set as I was leaving. I couldn't believe my eyes. Looking at the box, front and back, it looks like a beautiful set. I am seriously going to get another set, and combine them into one big Arkham. I did that with the original, and 2012 Arkhams, theres no reason not to with this one too. Like I said, I did not open Arkham yet, but if anyone has a question, that they couldn't get answered by looking at pics online of the set, let me know, I got the unopened box in hand. Does anyone know if the Arctic roller set is a store exclusive, or if there are any store exclusives in this wave?
  10. So, I put together the Killer Croc set last night. Its a nice set, but I think a little bit pricey, for what you get. The figures are great, however, and I think because of the HUGE Killer Croc figure, it drives the price up. He really is a very unique figure, being a "blend" of the Rancor body, and a big sized mini figure. The way the Rancor hands, and fingers are, and the actual body shape, makes him fit into the bed of the truck, PERFECTLY. He looks real cool holding the giant stick shift, with the 8 ball knob, which fits perfect in his hand. That round, printed 8 ball piece, is a great part, and I think will be useful in a ton of MOC's. I have never seen that piece before, and as far as I can tell, it is only available in this set. Am I right about that, is that 8 ball stick shift, knob, in any other sets? The truck is slowly built, with bags 2 thru 4, and there are only 4 bags in this set. While, it is ONLY a truck, with it being 3/4's of the actual build of the set, its a testament to how "involved" the truck is. When the set is built, I have to admit, it doesn't just feel like a few figs and a stupid pick up truck. There is more to the truck than just that. It has some cool features, unique parts, and great modding potential, too. So, overall, its a decent set, with great figures, and an alright truck. Its NOT worth the full retail price tag, though. Myself being a completest, and where money is no issue, I don't care that I bought it. If you are working with a budget, and have to really pick n choose the sets you get, I would skip this set, or, at a minimum, buy/bricklink the Croc figure. I wonder what he is gonna go for, on the secondary market?
  11. Thank you sir. You are a gentlemen, and a scholar, and a man after my own heart, lol. Its so ridiculous how psychotic some people get, over nonsense. The ones protesting the loudest, and craziest, obviously did not even read my second post, where I said that the employee at Target, actually THANKED me for helping him, and that THEY were stocking the shelves with these sets. I guess anger comes thru first, with some people, instead of taking the time to read, and understand what REALLY happened, first. Instead, a completely false scenario, was created IN THEIR HEADS, and they chose to lash out, based on ignorance. What a shame that some people are so judgmental, hurtful, and critical of others, based on what they THINK happened, or MADE UP in their HEADS. Anyway, I am done, lol, I really do not care what ignorant people think, lol. Seriouslly though, Legocity2713, thank you, you are a friend, and appreciated. We should go shopping together one day, lol.
  12. First of all you have NO IDEA what you are talking about. The cases were on a pallet of items that were ON THE FLOOR BEING OPENED. In fact, one of the workers jokingly thanked me for opening it for him. He said, we have so many boxes to open today, you just made my job easier. The dates on the box were a non issue for them. These boxes were NOT in the back, they were out in the aisles being opened to be put on shelves. I technically opened them for them. Secondly, literally dozens of people here on this forum, have been talking about getting these sets early, and at guess where? Target. It is quite obvious that Target IS putting these on the shelves EARLY. I DID NOT take these out of a back room. I did not hide anything. I mentioned about the "date" on the box, because that's how I knew which box had the items THEY WERE GOING TO PUT ON THE SHELVES. It allowed me to NOT have to wait for them to do it. The workers had NO PROBLEM with it, you were NOT there, I was. Lastly, the comment about the workers saying HI to me, was about the fact that I was "fondling" the bags, which everyone does, for about an hour in the aisle, and they were cool with it. It had NOTHING to do with the fact that it was put out by me, THEY WERE PUTTING IT OUT. Why do you think this stuff was sitting in an aisle of the store, in the toy section, with many other items? For them to "tempt us", and then yell when we touch it. NOPE they were stocking their shelves with it. Like I said, it was on pallets with MANY OTHER ITEMS, that were NOT EVEN LEGO. EVERYTHING WAS BEING PUT OUT. Read my above comment, it explains it all. Whats RUDE, is to assume someone is doing something, that they were not. Its clear you built up a whole, horrible, evil, scenario in your HEAD, but the reality, and truth were quite different. I did not "rudely shake the very foundations of the Target and Lego franchises today", nearly, almost tearing the very fabric of the earth. I opened a case, about 5 minutes before the TARGET EMPLOYEES DID.
  13. So, I found/bought the Killer croc set today at Target, and a whole display of the CMF's, and lastly the Phantom zone polybag. I was able to get a complete set, plus a few doubles, after feeling the bags for awhile. There is a VERY SIMPLE trick, for those of you who want to buy the sets at Target, but instead have a manager, or cashier, tell you that you cant, yet. GO TO THE SELF CHECKOUT LINE!!!!!! That's what I did, and it was fine. In fact, when I got into the toy aisle, the ONLY thing on the shelves was the Phantom zone polybag. However, there were a bunch of pallets with all sorts of unopened cases of toys, not just Lego. I "searched" the pallets and saw 2 cases of Lego boxes that had a "Do not display till Jan 1st" sticker, in white and red, on it. I knew these had to be what I wanted. I took one of my keys and opened those cases right up. One case had 3 sets of the Killer Croc set, of which I took 1. The other case was a whole cardboard display of the mini-figures. I pulled that bad boy right outta the case, and started feeling away at the bags, until I made a full set. Mind you, while I was doing this, workers were walking around me, saying Hi, and could care less. Then, I had NO ISSUE buying them, because I went to the "self checkout" line. Good luck, it worked for me. I opened all my figures, and they are all awesome. I am going to put the Croc set together now. When I am done, I will let you guys know what I think of it.
  14. Do you guys find it weird that the Clayface build figure, doesn't really have hands, or claws. He seems to have the stud shooter hands, and or the cool hammer option. I like them, but I would think "real" hands would be cool, too. Especially where the fingers could grab/close around a mini-figure. That's gonna be my first mod to that set, when I get it. He definitely needs hands.
  15. I am looking forward to this set too. That limo looks phenominal , And like a really fun build, too. Believe it or not, the Clayface set looks like, once modded, that its gonna be fun, too.
  16. While I agree this is a nice set, I am surprised at how many people think its the BEST of the waves. I am gonna get it, and I dig the figs, cool truck too, but I think there is better. I really like the Arkham set. I will be getting 2 sets of that one, and combine into one giant Arkham. I did that already with the first 2 Arkham sets. I combined 2 of the 2012 Arkham breakouts, and 1 of the 2006/2007 Arkham sets, into one big one. The decision for me now, is to decide if I am going to add the 2 newest Arkham sets I get, with my old one, or have 2 different, stand alone ones. Decisions, decisions.
  17. I do see the potential for, perhaps, more sets, and a 2nd CMF series, than the first Lego movie. This Batman movie, is not only going to appeal to most, if not all Lego fans, but also, Batman fans. It has the potential to double its audience, and therefore double its potential buyers for sets, and mini-figures. Hopefully, this will dictate into us getting a 3rd, and or 4th wave, and a 2nd CMF series. I know myself, for example, is a huge Lego fan, and Batman Lego fan. However, I did not buy one single Lego movie set, and I enjoyed the movie, too. This Batman Lego movie, is a whole other ball game, for me. I have bought EVERY set released so far, and will be buying EVERYTHING released, set and mini-figure wise, for this movie, and I have not even seen even all the TRAILERS yet, let alone the movie, itself. I feel, between Lego fans, children, and Batman fans, this theme has the potential to be one of the highest selling themes for Lego, ever. This can, and should mean, potentially more waves, and figures, fingers crossed, at least.
  18. WOW, I cant get over how awesome all these figures/sets/trailers, EVERYTHING, is for this theme/movie. I am a Pirate, and Super heroes/DC lego fan, and this series is right up my alley. Honestly, I look at it as an extension of my existing, and 100% complete Lego DC collection, less the SDCC exclusives. I have EVERY DC set ever made, since the original Batman 2006 series, all the way thru the current range, and EVERY DC mini-figure, except the SDCC figures. This Batman movie series, will be no exception. I will be buying EVERYTHING, and EVERY mini-figure they put out. With that being said, I hope they make EVERY figure, hero, villain, obscure, and main figure, that we have seen in these AWESOME trailers. I want it all. I want EVERY vehicle too. I am loving everything being shown to us. This stuff is a Batman/DC/Lego fans dream, and I am in HEAVEN. Keep them coming Lego. You have my money. Thank God, I make a very good living, lol.
  19. Hey, maybe the sets could even PAY for college, when she goes, lol. Also, she will not be able to give them to her children, because she is NEVER allowed to date. Lol, seriously though, those are some good ideas. I do wonder how "sentimental" these sets will be to her in 12 years time. Idk if she will be like me, in that regard. I could see her being more sentimental to Shopkins, than Friends honestly, but ya never know. This actually makes a lot of sense. It is in a way, like the market was flooded, so to speak. Back in 2014, you COULD have gone back 2 years, and completed a Friends collection. If parents wanted to do that, they had to pay. Now, with the sheer amount of sets, it would be a daunting task to go back and complete EVERY set. Pretty much, they are there if someone wants them, and there is enough to keep price down. It was definitely the opposite about 2 years ago, though. I guess there just aren't enough "must haves", in terms of special pieces, or exclusive mini-dolls, in those original sets, to warrant paying a high price. Can anyone confirm if any of the mini dolls in the first and second wave, are exclusive, or completely different, than mini dolls in later waves. I know there was the Mother, and Father, in the Olivias house, but they could have been released in later sets too, idk.
  20. Hey all, I was wondering if anyone had any info on the costs of some older Lego Friends sets, or more specifically, why there costs seem to have gone down in price? My daughter is getting a bit older, and she isnt interested as much in her Friends sets, any longer. My initial thought was to "break" them down, and incorporate them into my huge Lego collection. You can never have enough pieces, right. That being said, the colors of most of the sets pieces, and of course the mini-dolls, really wouldn't "fit" into my collection. Even if I parted them out, and sorted them, most of the pieces would be "wasted" in my collection, just sitting in bins. This brought me to my next idea, which was to consider selling them. I am not a big fan of evil-bay, but to unload them quick and easily, it seems to be the best fit for me. My daughter started collecting the Friends sets from the very beginning, and she kept them complete, and in pristine condition. The ONLY things missing, in most cases, will be just some of the boxes, only. She has literally every set, up to about a year ago. This includes the original, retired sets, like Olivias house, and treehouse, the dog show, Butterfly beauty salon, Stephanies car, the Summer camp riding school, horse trailer, and many, many more. About a year, or two ago, I had briefly went on Ebay and saw that most of the original sets, whether opened or. of course MIB, were very high in price. Needless to say, I couldn't believe how much some of those original sets were commanding. The Butterfly beauty shop was especially high in price, the City café, the 3188 Heartlake animal Vet, and many others were really up there in price. This was for MIB, and 100% complete sets in great condition. I even re-call that some of the smaller sets, like Olivias treehouse, and the Heartlake dog show, were pricey too. Now I get that these sets MIB, actually still do, in some cases get a slightly higher price, but back about 2 years ago, the prices were much higher, and even loose, complete sets, were much higher. I looked at the prices now, and was kinda shocked at how cheap they are going for these days. I do not buy and sell Lego sets, or collect in any way to make money, but it is nice to know that most of MY sets, have gone up in value. I keep MY sets 100% complete, and in great condition too. I just assumed that the Friends sets would have been the same, especially since when I checked them awhile back, they WERE up there in price. Now these Friends sets, seemed to have taken a "beating", for some reason. I am really wondering, why these sets are so cheap now. Does anyone know why? Or have any ideas why, or info on the Friends set prices going down? An idea I thought of, was maybe some newer versions, of the older sets, were released, like the Vet, or the newer light purple house, or newer cars, or a new Salon, and that made the older versions of them, not as sought after. However, that's usually NOT the case. Even if a new version of an older set is re-done, it still doesn't drop the value of the older sets. Look at Batman, for example. What I really think it is, though, is the mini-figures/mini-dolls, that are in Friends sets. Idk, but perhaps many of the mini-dolls that were in the older retired sets, are the same ones in the newer sets? This would make it easy to "create" complete sets from parts, AND mini-dolls on hand, and the "exclusivity" that many mini-figures have to a set, simply does not exist in Friends sets. Is that true, though, idk. I know there are definitely some exclusive pieces, and of course, stickers that are exclusive to each Friends sets. Maybe that's not enough, or there isn't enough of that, and then not really having exclusive mini-figures, contributes in the prices for sets staying lower. I just don't get it, and don't get why they WERE more expensive a year or two back. Its almost like the "market" was flooded with sets, or something like that. Does anybody have any thought on this? Its more of a curiosity thing for me, at this point. Is there something I missed about these sets, that for some reason, dropped them in price? Anybody have any info on this? Thanks in advance to any info, its appreciated.
  21. DUDE!!!! Are you kidding with this, its fricken awesome! I am looking forward to seeing the continued progress, keep it going. You got a winner here.
  22. When i first saw the pics, i was disapointed, to say the least, because it seemed like it didnt open with hinges. It looked as though you could only access the interior by taking the floors apart, from top to bottom. Now that its been shown, that it DOES indeed open via hinges, i am SOLD. Looks like January, i will be buying 1 of these, and 2 of the modular banks. Cannot wait!!!
  23. Dude, i am with you. I LOVE the Batman/DC sets. I collect, and own EVERY one since the beginning in 2006/2007, till current. My Batcave is a seamless, if i do say so myself, mix of the first Batcave and the 2012 one. I have a whole Modded Gotham city. The more Batman sets, the better, IMHO. Now dont get me wrong, i love getting other DC heroes and Villains. Incorporating them with my current sets, and Gotham city set up, is great, but its still Batman first, with everything, and everyone else, built around that. Honestly, i wish they would come out with more Batman environments, and buildings. Whenever an Expert Modular, or creator set comes out, that can in any way be modded for Batman/Gotham city, i am doing it, and usually buying 2. I cant wait for that new modular bank, thats coming out, its screaming Gotham city. Adding that to my modded Detective agencys, and other buildings, will be awesome.
  24. I love how he has 4 nipples.
  25. That Lightning Lad looks interesting. I will get him, just cause i am a completest, but i honestly don't know anything about him, though. I assume he is a "good" guy, right? Also, i assume he is probably a sidekick, maybe. Anybody, got any info on him, whats his deal?
