    LEGO is already way more expensive than the pure cost of the materials necessary to make it. We're paying for LEGO because of the brand, not because of the materials. Any bloke with a 3D Printer could print "legos" but they wouldn't be authentic, and (Unless they found a niche market like Brickarms or the like) wouldn't sell for as much.

    Sure it's possible. It's also possible that they'll use the new Gargoyle or Faun molds. It's possible they will make a new mold as well.

    "Because I was certain the price would increase to $60!" Ha. No. I bought the chicken when it first came out on accident. It was before the second price rise and I would grab some randomly. Can't afford to pick at random anymore.

    I feel like Disney had a bigger say in which characters to make than LEGO did. So many of these just don't translate very well into LEGO form, despite the character's popularity.

    Good job, BrickJagger. I was too tired to poem. Yes. Poem is used as a verb here. But gee, "Beauty has inspired many famous insurance quotes"? "You're afraid of growing old and getting wrinkles? We can insure those good looks for a buttload of cash!"

    CM4Sci, is that a slightly higher quality picture? It seems like it.

    I think the problem I have with these is the scaling. Disney characters have very weird proportions, relative to each other and humans. Minifigures also have very odd proportions relative to humans. I think the scaling is just too drastic of a switch from odd shaped humanoid to squashed down humanoid.

    Genie's ears are too large. He would look a lot better if they didn't stick out so far over the top of his head. It also gives him a huge forehead.

    I respectfully agree whole heartedly. My main disappointment is with Genie. That one could have been a lot better. Mickey and his friends are truly scary.
