  1. Most people won't even know that R-3PO is canon but had a grand total of 3 or 4 seconds on screen. I do hope some BL reseller aren't retarded and part out R-3PO just to sell the head for $100 based on 6 months average. When the set comes out, the price for red head will probably be worth no more than $5 each. Now if only LEGO would release red Darth Vader :)
  2. Stickers from early 2000 will fail even if you kept them in climate controlled environment. Something about the type of material not being nice, causing the sticker to crack and fray at the edge. Most other stickers will stay on fine if the part was clean and you didn't peel and re-apply at all.
  3. I got both 7915 and 8093 (Imperial V-Wing Starfighter and Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter) from Target last week when they had sales on some sets.
  4. An updated Ahsoka from CW. Her montrals are a bit taller than earlier episodes, and she isn't dressed like a tramp in training.
  5. Even for parts only, $20 is cheap. Chances are it's gone already. Lots of people watches CL for LEGO and snap up cheap stuff quickly.
  6. A non-poseable trans minifig should be possible. From what I heard, the plastic used for trans color has a tendacy to bind to each other (which is why builds like inserting trans 1x1 round or cone brick into 4L rod is illegal) and the area around joints can crack or develop other problem. But a new mold of a minifig that does not have any moving part could be done.
  7. Send em to me. I'll make them feel needed ;)
  8. Mouth aside, the alien head probably works. There's no canon description of adolescent Nautolant but it'd be reasonable to assume the hair-tail (or tentacles or w/e) separates and grow longer at young age. I'll find the correct colored hand for that minifig and lose the cloak, it's a bit too long for the short legs.
  9. Hot glue gun? Glue the larger pieces together, and the glue generally comes off easy. Use mild temp not hot temp as latter may be too hot for the ABS plastic.
  10. If I was to take a head off a Space Police III minifig Rench, get a random brown torso that looks Jedi-esque, a short brown leg, would the resulting minifig pass for a young version of Kit Fisto (or anyone of his race)?
  11. Does it support multiple level? Other track designer does allow multiple up/down ramp for building a complex multi-level monorail set. But if this one does allow multi-level and can show in 3D view, I'd be very happy (using laptop atm, hate using mouse or trackpad with this)
  12. Finding lots of those could be challenging as the blue 15L liftarm were used only in 3 sets from 2001 to 2004. BL shows average of about 50 cents each used and 83 cents each new.
  13. I remember back (classic Space era) when you could count the number of unique color with just 2 hands: black, old grey, white, trans-clear, red, yellow, green, blue, trans-red, trans-yellow, and trans-green. Ok that's 11 but that's 5 or 6 more than what used to be when I was born. They may say variety is the spice of life, but too much can overwhelm some of us. Do we need 6 or 7 different shades of one color? Not to mention variation in color, I have a pile of dark red bricks that shows about 20 minor variations of the same color. But I'd like LEGO to work on ending minor variation of color shades, and also deal with some brick's tendency to crack for no reason. There's a thread somewhere that has this issue covered, such as someone's white cheese slope cracking in just a few months without getting played with or getting exposed to sun.
  14. I have somewhere between not enough and too many. For one thing, I know I have about 50 classic Space Minifig, 30 skeletons, and about 120 SW Stormtroopers. Probably around 500 total minifigs. I really need to sort my entire collection.
  15. Prints does look better with color laser printer, and they aren't expensive if you look in the right place, and snub at the genuine toner carts. I got mine brand new for only $87 USD. Originally it was around $300 new, they were on clearance sale at Office Depot, plus they honored the $50 printer trade in because the original price was higher than $199 so final price was only $87. Printed about 100 pages before I got low toner warning on the starter set. $80 later with DIY refill kit, I could go about 500 more pages (manual claims over 2,000 but that's mostly text with limited picture, I do mostly manual and quick photo). The starter cart for Samsung color laser printers didn't need chipping if it's refilled before it runs empty. True the per-page cost can be a bit higher than ink but I do have the benefit of not changing carts after every 100 prints, not worrying about bad prints due to clogged nozzles, not worry about leaking ink from well used printer, don't have to worry about paper getting wet as toner don't run like ink, and not bemoaning about spending another $50 for full set of genuine ink carts that only lasts 100-150 full page photo prints. If I needed quality photo prints, a trip to local Walmart is usually better and still cheap. As for the software, many people used Microsoft Office or Word but if you don't want to pay a lot for it, you could try Open Office instead. In the program, start word processing, then you use menu Insert - > Picture -> from File. Browse to the file you saved and load that. Once the picture is loaded, double-click the picture to get options. Select Type tab (if not on it), then click Keep Ratio (if not checked) and set the size to match LEGO's part size. For minifig, the sizes are listed in Minifig customization. For other parts, you'd need to measure it or find the information beforehand.
  16. Very nice!! I loved how you managed to make it have that many teeth without looking messy
  17. What about ships from Naboo? So far there's been only fighter ships from Ep1. What I would like is a Nubian J type 327 in all chrome bricks. Now that'd be a set fit for a Queen ;)
  18. Just an uh-huh? Let me try again. Warning: bad pun!! Going to log out before you guys start a lynching party.
  19. I went different way about that. Since red were the most common, I went with them as rank private. White as the next rank, yellow, black, and blue at top rank. I would like to get involved but debating if I should sign up or not.
  20. Those guards look like they are about to head into Red Light District ;) edit: forgot to snip picture
  21. Some people may not like glued model but for large model, sometimes it may be the only way to safely transport them. It mostly depends on the size and complexity of the set.
  22. Is that a cave I see on the left side of the picture?
  23. So? Leave a spot marked as "special light blue" and those of us who happens to have Maersk blue tile can fill in that.
