  1. Its the same person. Even in the video games, Lego has never made two distinct figures of Darth Sidious and Emperor Palpatine.
  2. Which makes me wonder which set was that piece designed for? To me, it makes no sense in the frigate since I didn't think anyone on the Jedi Council ever talked to Sidious at all. Sadly, like all other USCs, this is on my do not buy list. The set had so much potential and even had one decent exclusive figure, Dengar. Piett doesn't count since, at least to me, looks like a bunch of recycled parts and even Lego isn't counting IG-88 as a real mini-figure. @blueandwhite, I agree with you completely. However, I never really liked the Shuttle, not just the set but also the ship in the movies as well. I felt it lacked something. I could go on and on about this set but I feel like its not worth.
  3. Yes! The problem with this though is that if Nightwing somehow did show up, I think it could only be for a cameo. Maybe if somehow Bats would get surrounded by like 3 dozen baddies, Nightwing would swoop in and assist in the matter. Just an idea.
  4. Dick Grayson as Robin wouldn't make sense when we had Barbara Gordon as Oracle in Arkham Asylum.
  5. The only added feature that I can think of right now would pertain to gold. I feel that, at least in the first mission, gold is really difficult to obtain and getting 3 is even more of a pain. My rule is simply this: Each player has 2 gold at the start of the game. Not at the beginning of each mission, just the beginning of the fist mission. I do like davee123's take on a points system to win the real winner of the game, it makes all that hard work of defeating enemies and picking up treasure worth it in the end.
  6. I have yet to get my hands on 1 of the Heroica games. I'm tempted in getting one of the medium sets just because of those weapons and I felt it would be a great way to try for a test run. If I do enjoy I know I will be getting all 4 sets and then modding them for added play (i.e. new rules and larger setup). If these games do become successful in the AFOL community, how about creating a thread to share ideas on new rules, races, weapons, and game boards?
  7. If this does happen, then so long to a return to the Batman line.
  8. I hate to say it but I find the Lightning Dargon to be a bit excessive. I've always had a thing against dragons having 4 legs and claws on their wings. The copter, on the other hand, is great. I will definitely be downloading the intructions because I really like that brick-built skull cockpit. I'm thinking this set will be in the $50 to $70 USD range. That spinner is what's going to jack up the price, though.
  9. I just found that catalog a couple of days when I was cleaning. I was so baffled by it at the time. You'd think Lego would know better. Now my opinions on the figs: Bacta tank Luke is great except that I don't really like the new hair they gave him. I can't really figure out why but I just feel its not right. I guess the Naboo fighter Anakin doesn't come with a helmet and I see that we are getting two Episode 1 Anakins. Weird I love the new chance to get a medical droid in a set that actually requires one. "Red"-3PO seems like an assassin droid (for the rebels, maybe?) mainly because of the colors but I still like it nonetheless. I can finally have a protocol droid thats not C-3PO. (The only one I own is the C-3PO from the original Falcon). Well its nice to have more Jedi. Eeth Koth (sp?) and Quilan Vos (sp?) only showed up for like a episode and a half if you combined their screen time and I don't think they ever showed up together. I am liking the "new" green blades though. It has always bothered me that every time (that I can remember) we get an Episode 4 Luke get comes with a lightsaber. The only time he uses one is when he's training on the Falcon. It makes sense with this set but Obi Wan isn't included so he's just doing training by himself? At least in this poster (with the added blurriness) Ki Adi Mundi doesn't look half bad. Sand green Rodian. Nice. Leia's new hair is meh in both figues of her. Still waiting for her in Boush disguise, whenever that'll happen. Can't really say anything about Padme and Cap. Pandanka (sp?), just that they have been long overdue. The Mandos seem like they have added printings, at least the far right one does. Dengar looks like a mix of new face printings and the classic banada in creating his signature wrappings. Vendress has a very, very low cut top. That is all. It seems like Lego did something different for IG-88's head but I could be wrong. Darth Maul looks how he should always look. Badass! Genosian has wings? Where did those come from? Its a fine mix of OT, PT, and Clone Wars. Why can't Lego do this every year? Definitely a fantastic year for Lego Star Wars.
  10. Another great contribution once again. The only one I'm not too fond of is the Samurott but thats more because it was more of a hinderance on team in Black. It makes my day seeing these creations. Keep 'em coming!
  11. oh no! Sean Connery as George Lucas. Nice one, Brick_Pig! That costume looks like the orginal concept art of Chewie.
  12. Awesome! (but no solo pick of Scyther?). This is some of the best PokeMon Legos I have ever seen. They're basically minifig scale too that makes them even better. Can't wait to see more.
  13. Last time I checked, TRU had this for $49.99 USD. I'm so glad I got this when it first came out and there was also a sale at TRU at the time so I only paid $36. This has to be one of my favorite sets from this year with 2 wonderful semi-exclusive figures. I just wish they included either another BD, a SBD, or both. Edit: btw, great review.
  14. Nice. Hoping to see a skeleton army now. How did you attach the arms?
  15. It says 31 pieces but I count 27. I wonder what the others could be.
  16. Your pic is awesome, nonetheless. The big problem is really the lack of posability of the Battle Droids in general. Thats something only Lego can fix.
  17. The BD on the far right looks like he saw a spider. Only complaint I have is that there should be at least 2 or 3 more droids or one of them should have been a commander or have some type difference to it. Stunning pics from everyone here.
  18. You changed the Boba's hip color as well. Looks better now. The flamethrower was swapped as well, right? Fantastic MOC! I hope to see more in the future.
  19. Just forget for a second the fact that the repoter's double sided head shows in the back. Is it me or does she seem like Sarah Palin with a different hairstyle?
  20. Why is everyone assuming that The Black Pearl will have the Kraken? The confirmed info we have on the set proves that it'll have around 800 pieces and cost roughly $100 (USD). I'd rather have a good looking ship than parts of a destroyed ship and some extra pieces that form a partial Kraken. The flagship of the POTC francise should not be a pile of overcooked calamari.
  21. If the BP is actually how it is describedin the wiki, then this is a definite buy for me. Davy Jones just adds to the awesomeness of this already fantastic ship. I think he's added to hold us off until the next wave where I hope we get more Flying Dutchman crew members, and maybe the ship itself as well. What other sets would Davy Jones come in anyway? btw, this would be my first real Lego pirate ship, so I hope it won't disappoint.
  22. Besides the old generic smiley faces, these are some awesome posters. Wish this would happen for all the summer movies.
  23. Yes it is. It might not be clear as day as the one on this page but there is a pic on the post first of the thread.
  24. I agree. It's like they're pushing this theme to be their best yet.
  25. theres so much more at the end of the video. We get to see clips of scenes from all of the movies.
