The lighting effect with the 2 different color walls is amazing.

I'm not sure if people really noticed this or not but the placement of Friends sets in stores, like TRU and Target, is pretty ingenious. They are not in the actual Lego aisle but on an front/end cap on the aisle itself or have it's own display shelves, like the on pictured a few pages back. One of the managers at my TRU actually put the display near the entrance of the store so people notice the sets.

I wanted the Zombie, or maybe even the Robot, since I never got the chance to get series 1. What a shame. I already have 3 elves, 2 space villains, and 1 each of the other 3. Out of the whole group, I found the Fisherman to be the less attractive one. No molds are unique to just him now. The fishing pole has been used in the last few series and the fish is now pearl silver/gray/whatever, instead of that almost and more realistic sand green. The Mummy holds a special place because of the beautiful printing on his arms and all around his legs (SIDE LEG PRINTING!!!). The Elf has always been a great figure overall, so complaints there. The Gorilla Suit Guy is a fun figure but I never planned on getting more than 1 since I wasn't making an army of them. The there leaves the Space Villain. Cool figure but the cyborg parts were always too overwhelming on one side. The least Lego could have done was release him with the robot arm on the left side, because its never been done before , at least to my knowledge.

This was the most entertaining and informative review that I can recall ever reading. You have made me really want this set now. A simple thank you cannot express the way I feel on how you showed the whole community that everyone has something to be excited about this set.

The warehouses ca't have that many leftover. That's insane! They're at a whopping $15 a piece too! @ Studs Not On Top: I bought my Toxic Reapa during the BOGO 50% off a while back (2-3 weeks ago) and it was only $10.

Yeah, we barely have any new sets. In general, out of the 2 dozen or so cases of Lego we got on this truck, I think only about 4 or 5 were of new sets. Plus, the only reason I'm not grabbing the ultra-build Joker (which is basically the only superhero set we've had for a while) is because of the markup we put on it.

I know this has nothing to do with the new sets coming out but when I was stocking LEGO at my TRU, an over abundance of certain sets surprised me. There were roughly 6-8 cases of Corroder and Xplode each. One case included 6 sets each. These came on the truck we received Saturday morning. What is the reason of this? Is it because these 2 characters are shown in the intro fro the Breakout videos? I want to see if anyone else is seeing this at their local TRUs.

I think because I already own it (and got it for half off), I completely forgot about it. If only it didn't come with Jar Jar, then that would make it a true army builder. Yet sadly, TLG wants to make most Star Wars with opposing forces, excluding the new X-wing and Tie fighters. Enough of my opinion on already released and "old" sets. I really do like all the '12 winter sets. Geonosis and Endor MOCs here we come!

Those polybags are nice. I still prefer the original mini Star Destroyer from awhile back when Lego was in its mini Star Wars vehicle phase but I think I'll grab a few of those STAPs for a couple of Reasons: great army builders, there a too few sets out currently with regular battle droids, and STAP is brown, instead of clone wars blue.

I hate to say it but with limited space available in my house for large sets, I think I'm just going to settle for the smaller sets and spinners. Yet, will possibly bricklink the snake figs that have tails because they look awesome. I already have the shrine with Zane ZX and the 3 booster packs. Great piece packs. What seems to be the word on why the orange "leg-booster" piece is not included (yet mysteriously shown in set pictures) in the Lloyd Garmadon booster pack?

I love how this theme seems like a throwback to the monsters from the Studios sets from awhile back. I have/had all of them except the Frankenstein lab. Oh how much I wanted that set! What I don't like about these sets, like a good chunk of people here, is that CM figures are in the sets. They seem like they're just placeholders for right now, but since the figs are so clear in the prelim pictures it makes you wonder. Definite buys for me would be the Swamp Monster/creature set and the werewolf set along with the zombie set (do we have pictures of said set?), just as long as they're under $30 each.

Maybe the Monster Fighters theme coming out in the summer is the result of this contest. I hope its not because I was really looking forward to getting the S1 Zombie and Robot since I never got a chance to grab them when they were out.

As much as I would love to see that happen said raptor will probably never show up in a "real" Transformers game. Which side would he be on anyway? He flip-flopped from both sides in the show so many times. Unless we're talking about 2 different things...

If only the commando droids came with those shields as well...

I just bought Toxic Reapa and Jaw Blade from my TRU in New Jersey. So new wave is available already. T.R. is nice little build but I could have lived without Jaw Blade for right now. I'm just a sucker for sales.

So rehashes of the original Batman line... I still like them though. My wallet is already hurting.

Because this set is based off the version in Dead Man's Chest and Barbosa was in that movie for barely a minute.

Don't forget that it's also the 10th anniversary of AotC in 2012. We could get a rehash of the Tusken Raider or Bounty Hunter Pursuit sets, maybe just as a teaser of what will come next.

People keep thinking that the only Pearl in the movies is from Curse of the Black Pearl. When this set was announced the intial information attached to it was that it would based off of the Balck Pearl from Dead Man's Chest, it would contain around 800 pieces and cost $100 (USD). I know I am one of the few that like this set right now. Once I slightly mod it (not a revamp, just a few things to make it more recognizable), this will be on display in my house.

@fenrir: thanks for the new pic. It makes the Pearl look so much better. ^This makes me wonder what your misprinted part was. Do you mind telling us?

This is a must buy for me and will be my first Lego pirate ship ever (so it better not disappoint in person ). I guess since the Pearl comes with Bootstrap and Maccus, we won't be getting a Dutchman in the near future. Is that a new Jack? He doesn't come with his hat but its not the waistcoat torso from the smaller sets of this current wave.

At first I thought that was a blaster and then the phrase "The Consequences of Painted Clone Armor" came to mind. Either way I look at it it's still funny. Great Job!
