So it seems like all the old characters are having the same designs, sans Penguin with regular legs instead of short ones.

I have a feeling the're going to do what they did for Indiana Jones. The 1st game had movies 1-3 and then the 2nd game was 1-4 with some added features to make it seem like it was a somewhat different game than the 1st one.

Agreed! Also since the one in the actual set never showed up in the movie and a regular motorcycle did at some point, I'd think kids would prefer the PQ (and now Monster Fighters) bike over the "bulky stickered" one.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 7 Discussion
The_Box replied to whung's topic in Special LEGO Themes
That case has dividers and the stickers on the top and bottom and really easy to peel off. I already have 3 of these that I bought at TRU for $3.99 each. -
So to get a free TC-14 from the Lego store, I bought the new X-Wing, Endor battle pack and a Watto keychain.

I was so pumped after I saw it, I couldn't go to sleep until 5 in the morning. Wonderfully executed with a great mix of everything. I feel this was one of the few that I felt like I got my moneys worth.

Finally have Witch Doctor {Hero Factory} and Raptor Chase {Dino} in my collection.

LEGO Collectable Minifgures Series 7 Discussion
The_Box replied to whung's topic in Special LEGO Themes
That's somewhat old news now. We've been selling them at that price since series 4. For some odd reason, we have series 5, 6, and 7 in store. -
So my copy of 4867 Hogwarts that I just bought from TRU contained a very strange thing. Instead of having the capes for Lucius and the Dementor, it had the blue and black capes for Batman and Robin (either from the Batcave or the Funhouse). Anyone else having an incident like this in sets they've purchased recently? As much as I like these blue and black capes, I would like the ones for the actual set I've bought. What I do to get them?

Bought the Quinjet set yesterday for $24 off. Such a great buy!
-
I would also like some suggestions as well and, if possible, from pieces that are widely available right now.

The links for the reviews don't work for me. Any idea what happened?

Not to be really off topic but: Romero based his early undead visions on real life legends of voodoo. He just put a slightly different spin on it and made it "easier" for mainstream audiences to understand. Back on topic: I wish we had better close ups of finished versions of the monsters and the fighters. I want to figure out which ones I want to buy right away.

The calender, for at least the US, says May. However, non-Lego stores, such as Target and Walmart, having been carrying them in stores.

Show Your Army, Navy, and Collection Display
The_Box replied to BillytheKid's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Simply stunning. May I ask how long it took and how much it cost to make that amazing army? -
I was actually going to post this but I saw that you did instead. I received a copy of the May calender when I went to the Lego Store today to purchase the two $20 Marvel sets.
-
I saw a few Marvel sets in the back of my TRU tonight. They are marked to be put on shelves April 8th; this Sunday, Easter Sunday! How ridiculous is that?
-
Bought 2 polybags from WalMart today; the "new" STAP and a mini Tie Fighter, which isn't even in Brickset's database.

I was wondering why the cowl I received in the new Batwing set seemed off. Now I know why. However, putting this "new" cowl on a regular head does not result in eyes showing through the eye holes.

UGH, really?? Spidey looks nice and so does Iron Fist, but why Iron Fist? Of all Spidey related characters, they picked him? All I'm going to say is the chose the wrong hair, at least in my opinion. Thanks for pics.

oh man, that kid's camera work was nauseating. Just put the figures and camera on a table and stop moving around as much. Now onto the figures themselves: NRG Cole: From the pictures and videos from toy fair it seemed like Cole was going to have a transparent head. That could have been because of the "glowing" eyes. So that was just my mistake. The fiery, earth tones throughout the design are a nice touch. NRG Kai: The only thing that saves Kai from being just a plain red mini with nice head gear is the gold accents. Since he was supposedly the poster children for the 1st and 2nd waves (2011), you'd think Lego wouldn't make is "final" form so boring. NRG Jay: Same issue as Kai. the golden lightning motif is what saves him. [Not in video] NRG Zane: The light, powder blue color scheme is a welcomed addition yet it will look weird lining up all the NRG figures together and there being 2 blue characters when Lego had so many other colors to choose from.

I might have to "borrow" your power-suit design if I can find the right pieces in my collection. Awesome job on everything here.

REVIEW: 8831 LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 7
The_Box replied to WhiteFang's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I thoroughly enjoyed this review, WhiteFang. I'm amazed at how many minifigs have double-sided heads. Every other series 1 or maybe 2 but this one has 4, the Swimmer, Space Marine, Valkyrie, and Stunt Driver. What are you going to do with your extras? -
Wow. That was great! Music from Batman:TAS, Original Lex Luthor voice, and a pretty close Mark Hamill voice. Amazing! I hope that that becomes an actual show instead of just an opening movie for the game.
