I'd say those are definitely models based on famous Madrid locations. Several stores (that have the space for it) feature models unique to their geographical location. They were most likely designed by one of the model shops, and Lego has no intention of making them into sets.

Except for the mostly hidden figure in the traditional skull + crossbones pirate hat, yes.

1-2 minifigures for every set except the smallest one (Rainbow Fun), which has none visible.

Yes, the most specialized parts are basic minifigure hairs and the apple piece. Just Brick-built ones by the box art. The box art in general for these sets all seem to be ignoring the name of the set, with only one object fitting the theme per set.

It looks to be the same color palette that Classic sets have been using. No sign of the sand colors, and no earth colors visible on the box art.

I've seen the box art for it. The only specifically space thing on it is a microscale space shuttle. The box features a large question mark and a few things scattered throughout assorted pieces. These include a pirate, a large purple duck, a green race car, a city type minifig, and the aforementioned shuttle.

Sometimes flickr just glitches with group joining, but more likely you just need one of the admins of the group to approve you. @Dr Rod @Tazmaniac and @I Scream Clone are the group admins, and all of them are pretty busy these days.

Roman v Hun and Squarefoot v Highwayman. Those are some tough choices...

Alpha Team is a bit of a different situation, having only run for 3 years, and giving the crew a makeover every year. With Ninjago (Sets) all of the characters have had the same facial features and level of detail for 6 years(relatively low on lego's scale) with the "human" ninja really only having 2 colors of printed ink, with white pupils and black for everything else. Now with the movie faces the characters have pretty much doubled that number, with most of the ninja receiving brown eyebrows of various shades, additional cheek markings (Mole, freckles), or even green eyes on Llyod (I'm fine with that one, but I liked the simple eyebrows). And the movie style mask only accentuates it by showing a much larger section of the face than has been shown in any full hood variant. And honestly these figures feel like they're from a sequel to the movie instead of the show, especially with the diamond aesthetic everywhere. As for the new spinner suits, they might grow on me once we have pictures of the figures outside of their spinners, but for now I'm not a fan.

Wow, they really went full movie on these... This might be the end of me buying new Ninjago in favor of filling in holes from past years. (Didn't Tommy say the face rigs were staying for everyone except Lloyd in the show? Or am I imagining that?) And after the tradition of awesome powered-up forms (NRG, Airjitzu) the new spinner suits look terrible, almost like each ninja was puking their element all over themselves.

I saw somewhere that the game will be on sale for $19 on Black Friday, if you can wait til then.
