  1. I'm not sold on this one. I loved the brickbank/laundrette combo, but that had a reason (money laundering). This just feels forced. The Jazz Club has a vibe of a cross between the fire station and the cinema from the old Town Plan set!
  2. I've just stumbled across this post whilst looking to do a similar mod. It appears most of the pictures are missing in the thread above, I don't suppose you have a Flickr album or similar? (Sorry for re-opening an old thread, but it didn't seem appropriate to start a new one).
  3. I'm currently working on a Lego Store MOC and I'm looking for a list of the "Lego Box" printed tiles and sticker sheets. I've got the following so far: https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=26603pb001&idColor=105#T=C&C=105 https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3068bpb0938&idColor=7#T=C&C=7 https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3068bpb0937&idColor=7#T=C&C=7 https://www.bricklink.com/v2/catalog/catalogitem.page?P=3069bpb0387&idColor=7#T=C&C=7 I'm wondering if anyone knows of a pre-existing list, or an easier way of finding them, rather than manually looking through Bricklink?
  4. I love the look of the Aston Martin DB5 set, and I was wondering if the scale would allow you to strip the mechanics from the off road buggy, and make the DB5 remote controlled? I'd be happy to give up some of the fuctionality of the DB5, if it could drive around.
  5. Looks great! Would be good to have a top down view of the interior with the engines in and out.
  6. You're right! I just watched Jang's video, where he holds one of the normal modulars up against it! It's wide, but not very deep as I understand.
  7. Yeah, I know it's a bit bland atm... This is my first MOC, and only built 3 of the modulars from scratch once each, so I'm lacking in some of the advanced techniques that are used for the normal modulars. It's a bit similar to the Pet Shop style, which has the plain brickwork. I'll have a look at the other modulars and try and draw some inspiration. Thanks for the input
  8. Update to the Post Office WIP: I've added a second floor with staff area, toilet and manager's office. Also moved the staircase to free up some room. I've also added more detail to the interior on the ground floor after taking inspiration from a visit to my local post office!
  9. Looks great! Would be good to see it from the reverse side, both with and without a train at the platform.
  10. I really like this set, but I think for the money, it would have been good to be a 2-in-1 set, that could either have worked as just Wayne Manor or Joker Manor. I'm not sure if all of the parts are there to make the facade of Wayne Manor, but it would be cool if they were.
  11. Wow! This is great! I know you haven't finished the interiors, but it would be good to see the way you've decided to layout the rooms. Really impressed with the detail of the exterior! Great job!
  12. Thanks for the input iammac. That's a good point about the staircase. In the previous iteration I was looking to replicate the design of the staircase from the 10218 Pet Shop, but this time decided to go down an easier route. I think I'll look at using the staircase that is used in AS. I'm not 100% certain on the plans for the second floor yet. I'm thinking some kind of staff room, as well as access to the roof, although I may change the location of the staircase now.
  13. Hi, Long time reader, first time (proper) poster. I'm working on adding a post office into my modular street (I loath to call it a town, as it's not even close to some that I've seen on here!). I was originally building it up in LDD, but have since redesigned it using stud.io. It's a WIP at the minute, but I'm looking for a bit of feedback, as this is my first proper MOC. I'm planning on using 7731 in the driveway, and 60100 for the helipad that will be on the roof. Any constructive feedback would be great. https://flic.kr/s/aHskxeK1gH Link to Flickr album, as it won't let me upload images > 20kb!
  14. Hi, My friends own a food outlet, and have asked if I can make up a Lego model of it. I've modded a couple of sets before, mostly adding backs to open backed sets, but never attempted anything like this (mostly because I didn't know where to start!). I've seen and been extremely impressed with this thread: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=121165, and was wondering if anyone had any tips for making IRL into Lego? I've included the very basic layout of the building from LDD PS, I'm planning in LDD, then planning on Bricklinking the parts I need. I'll also need to source some custom stickers/decals for their logo. Any help/advice is appreciated!
  15. Whilst this would be awesome, I think this would be too similar to a scaled up version of the alt build of 31026.
