What is your favorite lego series
Count Bricktooth replied to Bluecoat officer's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I think I'd have to say Classic Pirates. I feel like I'm cheating on Classic Castle by saying that though. As a kid it was Castle that was the main, with Space and Town as fallbacks...then Pirates came out. The first wave of Batman is what brought me out of my Dark Age though, shout out to the Horror Studios sets too. -
I wish they'd give Star Wars a rest
-
Good old Yellow for me thanks.

I have fantastic memories of being a kid and Pirates coming out- I never tire of seeing those early sets. I'd say Pirates is my all time #1 too, though 80's Castle and Space was huge for me before they came out...the 80's were a great time to be a kid who liked Lego

Wonderful. Gives off a similar vibe to those early Pirate ads

Printed vs. Stickered Bricks - some data
Count Bricktooth replied to 62Bricks's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I have bricks and pieces from the mid 80's that I put stickers ( from Ideas Books) on and to this day they have not peeled away or anything, yet on a heap of my modern stuff ( the first Batman line in particular) stickers are peeling off left, right and centre. -

Which Official Pirate LEGO Sets Do You Have?
Count Bricktooth replied to Mister Phes's topic in LEGO Pirates
Pirates blew my mind in 1989, they're till still my favourite theme. 6235 Buried Treasure 6245 Harbor Sentry 6265 Sabre Island 6270 Forbidden Island 6274 Caribbean Clipper 6280 Black Seas Barracuda 6251 Pirate Minifigures 6257 Castaway's Raft 6260 Shipwreck Island 6234 Renegade's Raft 6256 Islander Catamaran -
I think it's a brilliant little set, I'll be honest here the raft has never done all that much for me ( 6257 is king) but the shark, weapons, oars and flag make the set outstanding.

Which Themes Deserve a Reboot?
Count Bricktooth replied to Lancethecat's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Count me in on the Classic Space, Castle (with less shiny stuff) and (smiling, happy) Town front- I'm also a sucker for Island/Jungle and would like to see Paradisa and Adventurers too.- 438 replies

2015 LEGO Pirates Rumors and Discussion
Count Bricktooth replied to Yawgmoth's topic in LEGO Pirates
I haven't bought any sets for a few years now, but I'll be picking up these Imperial sets for sure- with the intention of combining them to make a decent fort. -
Far out man, that's incredible!

Blue Coats for me too, I had entered the first stages of my dark age by the time the Reds came out and didn't even know they existed until I finally got the internet and started looking at Lego again.

Which LEGO Pirate captain is your favorite?
Count Bricktooth replied to Captain Roger's topic in LEGO Pirates
Roger/Redbeard for me, not only my favourite Captain but probably my favourite minifigure. -

This thread is rather handy! For some reason when typing out posts here my ENTER button doesn't have any effect!? Also I tried to post a picture in the "What was your first set?" thread and it came out like this. I'm using photobucket, and using the direct link option and then the image link in the post reply thingy. -
I started out with Fabuland, I think 3639 "Paddy Wagon" might have been the first. First proper LEGO set was I think the 6010 Supply Wagon, though the 6080 King's Castle was the first big set.
