Sinister Happenings at Arkham Asylum...

I think I'd have to say Classic Pirates. I feel like I'm cheating on Classic Castle by saying that though. As a kid it was Castle that was the main, with Space and Town as fallbacks...then Pirates came out. The first wave of Batman is what brought me out of my Dark Age though, shout out to the Horror Studios sets too.

I wish they'd give Star Wars a rest

I have fantastic memories of being a kid and Pirates coming out- I never tire of seeing those early sets. I'd say Pirates is my all time #1 too, though 80's Castle and Space was huge for me before they came out...the 80's were a great time to be a kid who liked Lego

A few old favourites

I got a hand me down lot of 70's bricks and pieces back when I was a kid, that's probably the oldest stuff I have. The bulk of my collection is from 84-90, that would be next.

I have bricks and pieces from the mid 80's that I put stickers ( from Ideas Books) on and to this day they have not peeled away or anything, yet on a heap of my modern stuff ( the first Batman line in particular) stickers are peeling off left, right and centre.

I think it's a brilliant little set, I'll be honest here the raft has never done all that much for me ( 6257 is king) but the shark, weapons, oars and flag make the set outstanding.

Count me in on the Classic Space, Castle (with less shiny stuff) and (smiling, happy) Town front- I'm also a sucker for Island/Jungle and would like to see Paradisa and Adventurers too.

I haven't bought any sets for a few years now, but I'll be picking up these Imperial sets for sure- with the intention of combining them to make a decent fort.

Blue Coats for me too, I had entered the first stages of my dark age by the time the Reds came out and didn't even know they existed until I finally got the internet and started looking at Lego again.

Roger/Redbeard for me, not only my favourite Captain but probably my favourite minifigure.

I started out with Fabuland, I think 3639 "Paddy Wagon" might have been the first. First proper LEGO set was I think the 6010 Supply Wagon, though the 6080 King's Castle was the first big set.
