  1. The sets look decent. I'm definitely getting the minifig scale Batmobile. It doesn't look as good as I had hoped from the front but that could just be the movie design since we haven't really seen it from the front. The back of it looks fantastic. I didn't expect all the blue flames, it makes it very reminiscent of Ghost Rider's Hellcharger. The Batcave looks good if not a bit simple and the 6+ set is an easy pass. The minifigs overall look great but Selina doesn't get her mask and Batman is using the same tired cowl. I was really hoping they would finally give us a new cowl for this movie since it's so different from this piece but apparently not. Heck, giving him the other version of the cowl without the chin strap would have been better than this.
  2. If the rumors about the mechs are true, it's very exciting to get a Wolverine mech and what that might mean for LEGO X-Men going forward.
  3. Darn, I was already luke-warm on Thor 4, that just makes it even less interesting to me. While true, not all of the cast revealed for Thor 4 are minifig-worthy. Obviously the 2 Thors and Gorr are and a lot of the others depend on how much screen time they get. Also, in a $30 set we're lucky if we get 3 figures, 4 max so not even all 5 main characters in DS2 will be made. That means it'll probably be DS, SW and America Chavez.
  4. That's nothing compared to what's being rumored for DSitMoM though and none of those characters are going to make people's jaws hit the floor. 3 sets sure, but it's utterly absurd for DSitMoM to only get one measly $30 set when it's about blow the MCU wide open. That said, if Beta Ray Bill shows up in L&T I'll be incredibly stoked and I will absolutely demand a minifig of him.
  5. I'm very happy about about the Dark Trooper bp! I think we all expected it would happen but it's great to get some sort of confirmation. This now makes 3 sets I'm excited for in this wave, this, the Republic Fighter Tank(assuming that rumor is real) and Boba Fett's Palace. Also as an aside, I loved the hallway scene at the end of Mando. It made total sense for the Dark Troopers to come back and seeing Luke was not only a great payoff for the beacon set on Tython, it was amazing to see Luke in his prime again, it damn near brought me to tears. It was like an apology for how the ST treated him and gave us a little of the Legends Luke we all wanted to see.
  6. There's no way we're getting 4 sets for Thor L&T.
  7. ITMoM NEEDS more than 1. There are so many characters rumored to appear and in terms of scale and scope, it's going to be Endgame-level according to Benedict Cumberbatch. I'll be mad if it only gets one $30 set.
  8. The Republic Tank rumor is very exciting, especially for the figures! The previous tank was excellent, I wonder how they're going to improve it.
  9. $100 Boba Fett's palace? Sign me up! I can't wait to see what all(and who all) it includes. Rumors suggest Boba might get another update to his armor so we'll likely get a new Boba figure... who am I kidding, it'll be the exact same one and of course Fennec Shand, hopefully she'll get a hair piece as well as her helmet. It's hard to speculate about anything else until we get a trailer which sadly won't likely be until November at the Disney+ event.
  10. With all the characters and insanity rumored for DS2, it better get more than one set!
  11. The only rumored set that has me excited so far is the (formerly) Jabba's Palace, very excited for that to be based on tBoBF! Everything else sounds incredibly boring and an easy pass.
  12. I reeaally hope that Jabba's Palace rumor is true. I've been kicking myself for missing the last one and I've been tempted to bricklink it lately. I had hopes we might get one next year for TBoBF so I definitely hope/expect it to be based on that with a nice throne for Boba. The question is, would it be a full palace like the last one or a small diorama display with Boba's throne and a couple of walls?
  13. The AT-ST set sounds more enticing now but being the best set in a wave this mediocre really isn't saying much. Hopefully the Probe Droid is a solid build. If there's one Hoth set I've actually wanted to see get made, it's Han and Chewie vs the Imperial Probe Droid since we've never gotten a decent minifig-scale build of one. Still, if I had a choice, I would have vastly preferred getting a proper FO AT-ST as I really like the changes to the design and it would give LEGO a chance to redeem themselves for one of, if not the worst, LEGO Star Wars set ever made.
  14. I'm glad to hear they're continuing Infinity Saga sets as well as the accessory packs. I do wonder how many Infinity Saga sets we'll end up getting though with several movies and D+ series coming out next year. Also calling it now, one of the Infinity Saga sets will be a $30-$40 mech set based on Thor with a brick-built Destroyer armor, now that would be a mech set I think everyone could get behind!(especially if it came with the Warriors Three!)
  15. It's nice to hear about the minifig packs, I don't exactly have high hopes but it'd be nice if it were a pack of Clones or battle droids. Watch it be FO Stormtroopers...
  16. You have GOT to be be kidding me... Is the LEGO Star Wars team becoming self parody?! Do they just see people talking about Luke's Landspeeder all the time and think people actually wanted a UCS of one without realizing it's become a meme? It's astounding to be getting this lackluster of a wave after the extraordinary Mandalorian/Clone Wars one we just got. Y'know, while I'm sick to death of constant OT stuff every year, there are some sets we desperately need remakes of that astoundingly never get made like Vader's TIE Advanced X1(I'm still kicking myself not getting the Rebels set with Vader's TIE and the prototype A-Wing, it goes for astronomical prices on bricklink), TIE Interceptor, TIE Bomber, etc. There's also some classic OT ships that have NEVER been made such has Home One, LEGO has such a massive catalog of rounded pieces nowadays that it could be done easily as a playset similar to the System Star Destroyers we usually get.
  17. So far I'm saving a lot of money on LEGO Star Wars this spring... what a mediocre line up so far. I love the AT-ST, but do we really need a $60 18+ "Hoth version"? I'm picturing an overpriced static display model. Maybe they're saving it for the summer and fall waves, but next year is the 20th anniversary of AotC and I'll be furious if we don't get at least 4 or 5 sets based on the film.
  18. The Mando helmet is a buy, the others are a pass. It would definitely be nice to get some non OT helmets, I think LEGO greatly underestimates how many Clone Trooper helmets they could sell and how easy it would be to basically sell the same set with a few different colors for years and people will eat it up, myself included.
  19. LEGO really is incredibly out of touch when it comes to video games which is incredibly frustrating. It likely doesn't help that we had an entire wave of Avengers sets loosely inspired by the critical flop of an Avengers game... That said, we don't even know what the rating is going to be for the Wolverine game or whether or not we'll be able to actually slice up bad guys with Wolverine's claws. If it’s going to be bloody and violent(which it should be) there's zero chance we get sets(that said, we're looong overdue for new X-Men sets) Not having sets based on Fallen order or the Spider-man games is inexcusable though. The best we got was a Doc Ock minifig inspired by the game design, a SDCC exclusive figure and an easter egg in the form of a sticker on a monitor in one set and a hidden backpack in another...
  20. As much as I would love it, there's next to no chance we're getting sets for the kotor remake. Yes they made a Revan figure years ago, I have it and it's one of my favorite Star Wars minifigs and they made swtor sets but they've clearly since changed their tune on video game-based sets *cough* Fallen Order *cough* I think the best we can hope for is the possibility of Revan being an unlockable character in LSWtSS.
  21. Sure it's been that long since the last bp of Hoth troopers but we got 2 sets with them last year, and 2 sets with them the ywar before. We also get at least one Hoth set every single year. I get that ESB is the most popular Star Wars movie but I'm honestly getting Hoth fatigue and I personally never found Hoth troopers all that interesting interesting. Now if they want to reuse the Hoth trooper helmet mold for 21st Nova Corps Clone Troopers, sign me the heck up! I couldn't agree more. I feel like with the past couple of years LEGO has seen that Clo e Wars-era stuff sells so I have hope we'll see more of that next year. I also hoe we get at least 3 bp, this Hoth trooper bp, a Mando Dark Trooper bp, and a Clone Wars bp featuring a different Clone battalion. Tbe 212th is the safe choice but I'd love to see something like the Wolfpack(the old ones go for absurd prices on bricklink) or something totally new.
  22. I'm glad we're getting more battlepacks and I'm totally fine with $20 if it means the builds are good, proper builds rather than the throwaya trash we usually get. Last year's 501st bp was exactly the right move. I'm also happy to hear about no stud shooters and a minifig stand is very nice. Hoth troopers are perhaps the most boring, bland awful choice but assuming this will be the format for bps moving forward, I'm okay with that. We need more clone bps though, come on LEGO that's what we've literally been begging for...
  23. The D2C is nice but not for me... the minifig-scale set on the other hand, wow that's a must have for sure! It looks fantastic and I love the inclusion of the nightmare Batman face! I love that it comes with Scarecrow too.
  24. Oh definitely! I fully expect that the spring or summer wave for next year to be a huge NWH wave.
  25. Then I guess it's a good thing the set is rated 9 and up I've seen a couple complaints about the side panels falling off but I have yet to have that happen once. I also don't understand the complaints people seem to have that you can't hold the ship by the middle fin, aka the thinnist, most structurally weak part of a design like this, LEGO or otherwise. I have no idea why you'd want to do that. If anything, it makes it more unwieldy to swoosh than just holding it from the center mass. Not even as a little kid did I swoosh ships like that, did other people actually do that? Mine also did not come with an extra Wrecker armor piece unfortunately. It must just be a lucky few.
