  1. Holy Morro! He looks good, as does the shinobi-style outfit for Jay and the whole set in general.
  2. The builds for these 3 sets are a big letdown. The flying controller polybag is more interesting than the co troller jet. The villains are neat though, I dig the cyberbrain aesthetic they have going on. Color schemes are kinda all over the place for no real reason. Sadly, these are giving off the same vibes every in-house LEGO theme has in it's funal year where we get a messy wave of sets with weird off-putting color schemes and questionable builds and fewer sets overall. I hope I'm wrong though and the other sets are better.
  3. I like the BNW set. It's a bit overpriced but at least it has 3 new figs and a new bigfig. I hate that the wings have stickers instead of prints though. The jet Itself is interesting but I highly doubt it'll look anything like that in the movie. I'll get it but I'll probably wait for a sale.
  4. I finally finished Dreamzzz season 2 and wow, it's so much better than the first season. Hopefully they can even further improve in season 3. They did a great job with character development for many of the characters and I appreciate how cohesive it all felt versus the first season that seemed a bit jumbled at times before ending abruptly. This time, we had a satisfying ending that nicely concludes the story archs that took place over the season. I think my only main complaint is that the Beast Realm stuff at the end was a bit rushed and I was disappointed that Logan didn't get to use his Pandamonium(I love that name by the way) form against the Neverwitch, nor did we get to see Astrid react to it. I'm sure we'll see it plenty next season though, since it's his most powerful form(for now). Speaking of which, Logan and Astrid's romance subplot is not one I expected going into this season, but man was it one of the biggest highlights for me. Logan ended last season as my least favorite character but by the end of season 2, has become my favorite. So much of that has to do with his character development this season and his relationship with Astrid. I'm also a big fan of monsters and characters that turn into monsters so his "beastcrafting" is very cool to me and I look forward to seeing where they go with it next season. I doubt they'll go full Beast Boy with it, but I'm sure he'll get at least one more new form. On a side note, I appreciated how this season was able to better incorporate the sets and their alternate builds into the show itself and also how the sets from the first wave weren't completely dropped in favor of the season 2 sets like typically happens with toy tie-in media. Also, I think the only major thing from the show that we didn't get a set of is Mr. Oz's landing. However, I'm sure it will be a recurring location next season and I could see it being the next big location-based Dreamzzz set next year, similar to Castle Nocturnia and the Sandman's Tower. One last thing I have to shout out is how much I love that Zoey's cat is named Pyewacket! That is such an incredibly deep cut reference that no kid is ever going to get, but as someone who loves the classic 1958 film "Bell, Book and Candle" I let out a gasp the first time she mentioned her cat's name.
  5. That's probably pretty close, although the Ord Pedrovia shouldn't have 2 sets of binders. Gasgano is my favorite podracer so I'm really tempted to take advantage of the Wal-Mart deal. Apparently they only produced 20,000 of the promo sets so I wonder how fast they're going to run out before the promo ends on November 12th.
  6. I really like the set overall but it's disappointing that the rooms are so cramped. I would have rather had fewer, but bigger rooms. It's awkward that Cerebro is just right in front of the elevator like that. The Danger Room is easily the best part of the structure though. I'm really happy with the Sentinel build and I hope they pull a Leviathan and sell that on it's own next year with a few figures, maybe even Gambit. Gambit and Bishop are easily the best figures in the set. Hopefully we get more classic X-Men inspired sets next year because I so badly want Nightcrawler.
  7. I'm surprised nobody here is talking about the Cooper's flying video game controller polybag. Apparently the previous report about it being a $20 set must have been wrong. It's a really nice polybag with a new figure of Cooper, a small enemy that might be part of the new villain's army, and most interestingly, new boost effect pieces that look much more usefull than the one introduced in season 1.
  8. If the Kylo Ren's shuttle rumor is true, I would find it puzzling. It does not seem like the kind of ship that would be in high demand, plus it's a ship LEGO has already made several times as playscale sets and polybags. The Falcon gets away with it because it is the most iconic Star Wars ship in the entire franchise. Personally, I think the ship series should be reserved for capital ships and vehicles too large to do at a reasonable mini-fig scale. If they wanted to do a sequel era vehicle, the Mega-Class Star Dreadnought would have been perfect and could even include the abillity to seperate a third of it to recreate it being shattered by the hyperspace attack, similar to how the Invisible Hand can be split in two.
  9. I'm definitely excited by the prospect of a new Plo Koon head piece. The old rubber heads have not aged well and the proportions were way off, especially with the pointy bits on his mask being huge. A new, dual-molded, hard plastic piece would be excellent. I would love for Kit Fisto to get the same treatment someday too. If it wasn't for the likelihood that this is intended to be a RotS set, I would also love to see arm printing for him based on his Clone Wars look with the gauntlets but I suppose they could still do it if they also put Wolffe in the set and make it a set that kinda works for both CW and RotS. It's not like LEGO hasn't done something like that before.
  10. Okay, these are starting to sound too good to be true. -UCS Jango Fett's Slave I -Plo Koon's Jedi Starfighter -Andor's U-Wing -Ashoka's Jedi Interceptor(with a new cockpit design, Ashoka with short legs, R7 and a Clone Wars Anakin) -ARC-170(with Captain Jag, Oddball, R4-P44 and a regular clone pilot) If all of these leaks are legit, 2025 is starting off very strong.
  11. A new U-Wing sounds excellent. I mussed the first one. Plus, being based on Andor s2, it will undoubtedly include K2-SO which I also sadly missed and have badly wanted. It being a smaller size will also be appreciated because the original one was way too big in my opinion. I'm glad we're getting another Andor set, fingers-crossed it's a positive sign that a Fondor Haulcraft could happen.
  12. The Sailbarge looks excellent but far too rich for my blood. I'm hoping they reuse Jabba in another, cheaper set. It might still be too soon for another palace set even though that one was for Boba. I'm glad Max Rebo is nearly identical tocthe original, hopefully that brings his price down a little. The biggest disappointment to me is the lack of Ree-Yees because I really like Gran and would love to see the price of that figure go down. I'm definitely getting the Rebels vs Imperials bp and $40 is not a terrible price.
  13. I'm dying for a TIE Advanced X1. I don't mind getting yet another arm print Vader because it's such an incredible figure. The only way it could be improved is by printing red lenses on the eyes but LEGO has yet to add that printing capability. Regardless, They'd definitely sweeten the pot by including an additional figure. A new Grand Moff Tarkin would be the obvious choice and would be a nice comparison to the last stand alone X-Wing including General Dodoma. I could also see it include another Imperial astromech as well for good measure but I'd personally hope for more interesting and previously unmade figures.
  14. Considering that brand new shot of Zeb was of him piloting a Razor Crest? I'm going to say very much yes. It's an iconic ship for The Mandalorian to be sure, so it makes sense that he's going to find himself a new one.
  15. I couldn't agree more! It's incredibly exhausting to see the same talking points the fandom menace repeats ad-nausium. I happen to actually love Star Wars and even the projects I don't enjoy as much(the sequel trilogy), I can still find things in it that I do like and I focus my energy on that. I don't understand the desire to be so negative all the time--and even worse-- needlessly insult the projects you don't like and the people involved in them and the people who like them, that's intolerable. Occasional constructive criticism is one thing, but most of it is whining pedantics and hatefulness. As for set potential for upcoming projects, I really hope we get a 2nd Skeleton Crew set. The trailer was very promising and the droid with a peg leg looks to be very important. Plus, the (presumably)pirate aliens on display with Vane are so cool and I need figures of them and any others that are in the show. I am definitely getting the Onyx Cinder, it's such a cool ship design and it appears to be the core mcguffin of the series. I still think the Mandalorian and Grogu is a terrible name for the movie, but the shots they showed were very exciting. Zeb absolutely needs a new figure and he better have the fawn legs. As a big AT-RT fan, I was very happy to see it in live-action again. Also, as much as I love the Razor Crest and I'm happy to see it return, I fear it means LEGO will likely waste a set slot on an updated Razor Crest. I would like to see Andor get a set for season 2 but I would really want the Fondor Haulcraft, as it will undoubtedly feature heavily again, but I am also not opposed to a new U-Wing since I missed out on the first one and it has been sufficiently long enough since the Rogue One wave to bring out a new one. I also badly want them to bring back the K2-SO figure as I missed the original and it's very expensive to try and get on the aftermarket.
  16. Same here, it's utterly insane to me that we've only ever gotten 4 playscale TIE Advanced X1s and the last one was part of the Rebels show sets from 8 years ago! We are way overdue for a new one. I just hope it's not part of a double-pack like the last one was. LEGO has been doing an excellent job of giving us updated TIE variants the last few years so I'm confident we'll see it relatively soon. Same goes for the B-Wing. So Ashoka's Eta-2 is rumored to include her, R7 and Anakin with 300 pieces for $45 usd. Ignoring ppp(which I always do because it's a completely useless metric and always has been), $45 for a Jedi Interceptor with 3 figures is utterly insane, even if all 3 figures have the maximumamount of printing and dual molding needed and all decorated parts of the ship are prints rather than stickers(which of course, is never going to happen). Every year it seems LEGO just keeps adding $5 to Jedi Starfighters/Interceptors without any serious justification and it has to stop. Inflation doesn't justify that much of an insane leap in such a short time. I think they're just pushing their luck to see how much they can squeeze out of people before they see sales start to dip. I think we all know it's going to be essentially the same ETA-2 build we've seen since the beginning with a few improvements using newer pieces but as much as I would love to see an overhaul to the canopy design, I don't see it happening. They've got me though. I'm a huge fan of the ETA-2 and Delta-7/Delta-7Bs and I collect the LEGO versions, so I'm probably going to end up coughing up retail for it(and because my area never gets good discounts). Watch, in 2026 we're going to get another slight variation on a Jedi Starfighter/Interceptor with a Jedi and an astromech for $50 usd. Just typing that out makes me feel sick to my stomach... sigh I do hope the Anakin that comes in this set is based on his earlier armored Clone Wars appearance, even if it doesn't necessarily make sense for the scene this ship appears in. I just love the look of the armored Jedi robes. If this is the case, then I fully expect him to have arm and leg printing. It would also be nice if R7 had back printing, but I won't hold my breath.
  17. How about the main Jedi cruiser used throughout the show? Or the witches' fortress where half the show takes place? Your blind distaste for the show does not mean there isn't inherent set potential and as for the figures, are you kidding? We have a sizeable variety of Jedi of multiple species, Bazil the little Otter guy, and the Stranger with his grinning helmet. There is plenty of excellent figure potential and saying they shouldn't do them because the Jedi's outfits are similar is a laughable take when nearly all Jedi robes have looked pretty much the same for most of the franchise's history. Look, I get a very vocal group of people dislike the show but plenty of people did like it. It's still a Star Wars property and still deserves at least one set.
  18. my reaction to the people getting way too hateful over the Acolyte and believing in the manufactured outrage. I think ONE set would be nice. Every single Star Wars show and movie should at least get one. ANYWAY, I really thought they'd give us the Skeleton Crew trailer before the Onyx Cinder was officially revealed. It's insane that we still haven't seen it when they showed the trailer behind closed doors a whole year ago.
  19. Yup. I'm going to go out on a limb and assume they'll officially reveal the Skeleton Crew set at comic con right after the trailer drops since that set is also an August 1st set and already appearing on shelves.
  20. That is an absolutely incredible set! The Imperial dropship looks weird but the Rebel speeder is actually excellent. THIS is the kind of set we should be getting every year. 2 small vehicles of 2 opposing factions with an even number of troopers for both without any one-off characters(I'm not counting the anniversary figure). Hopefully this will be an easy-to-obtain set and not a gwp like the Battle Droid carrier was. I'm glad I got one, but it too should have been a regular retail release. This kind of thing is just great for fans of all ages and is guaranteed to sell. That said, I'm seeing a potential price of $45 floating around so hopefully it's just being sold as a retailer exclusive. If I had to guess, it'll be Target/S@H.
  21. With the new face/armor piece introduced in the August DreamZZZ sets, my money is on a buildable MCU Vulture. That piece looks like it was practically made wirh that in mind. It doesn't feelclike a piece that was specifically designed for DreamZZZ but rather the DreamZZZ just so happen to be coming out before the set that piece was initially designed for. Black Widow: "Am I a joke to you?" I couldn't agree more! Also, I would instantly buy a buildable figure of the Ghost Rider-posessed-Celestial from the 2018 Avengers comics but I doubt they would ever make that sadly. They COULD make a Robbie Reyes Ghost Rider buildable figure(or even one based on Johnny Blaze or Danny Ketch) and I would treat it like the Celestial he posessed. To be fair though, I will literally buy anything Ghost Rider-related that LEGO is willing to make. Maybe a comic-accurate Giant Man or Goliath would be neat but they aren't high on the list. Basically, any character that would make sense as a large buildable character that can interact with minifigs and be in roughly the right scale.
  22. Midiscale Acclamator sounds great but buildable Grogu in his pram is an easy pass as we have the old buildable Grogu. Thank goodness for my wallet though. The ARC-170 and Ashoka's Interceptor will both be instant buys though, most likely.
  23. Yeah, I see them keeping the helmet pretty close to the old one.
  24. I agree that we should keep our expectations in check. I too am very excited for a new ARC-170. The wings are so flimsy and droopy on the old one so I'll be happy to replace it on my wall with a sturdier, nicer looking model. I'm hoping for a new cockpit system for Ashoka's Eta-2 but I won't get my hopes up. Some new molds and a new way to build the cockpit would go a long way for me being able to accept the price they're asking for this. That, plus at least one extra figure of another named Clone like Jessie or some other new figure we haven't gotten before.
  25. FINALLY we get a full look at the Jedi Bob's Starfighter set and, yup, I love it. The Ackbar Trooper is nothing special and now we know why the ship doesn't have an astromech port: because of course Jedi Bob's droid is a GNK... makes sense from a LEGO meme perspective, but boy has the LEGO Star Wars community run the GNK droid joke into the ground.
