  1. I like the safehouse, especially the air handler unit on the back. Nice rubble area too!
  2. I like the height and cramped sense you gave. Good to see Batman keeping Coruscant safe!
  3. Someone from group D has to have a camera...
  4. Easy for me, I really like that Kendo guy...
  5. I like it, the red really stands out and the columns are reminiscent of modern day banks. I like how you achieved the curving at the top too. One suggestion on the 2 4x12 black plates is to throw a 2x12 or something along the seem to prevent light leak. I really like the sense of city life in the first picture.
  6. Great build, you did a wonderful job making it in such a way you could photograph it in different segments and re-use parts. Sad story, but seems like a gross misrepresentation of the Empire's efforts to bring culture and civilization to your world. The story meshed really well with all the images and I loved the vibrant colors used.
  7. Was a tossup between Spy and Dog Show Judge... ended up going with Spy.
  8. Great story! I like the fenced in area and the plant life. The murky water and drain are super, how you tied it into an irrigation system seems very real.
  9. Great contrasting color choices and I love the scrolls and the paper feel of the items on the wall. The minimal greebling along the top works well. The one thing that I'd suggest is not to use the tiles with studs unless needed though as they really stand out in a see of flat tiles. Great build for the Rebels.
  10. Both are just awesome. Love how sleek that A-wing is! Looks so speedy. The Y-wing looks appropriately industrial and workhorse with a great amount of detailing and greebling!
  11. That is a lovely building! Great usage of color throughout and love the various angles in play. My one gripe with that tile pattern you have in the courtyard (and this with the technique not with you) is the edges leave gaps. Those tiny dark triangles really stand out. I hope that in the future that same look is possible without those gaps using new pieces. And just like the Rebels to go about opening other people's crates... the Empire would never do such things!
  12. I had been sitting in the mess hall when a female officer had walked past me and I could smell her perfume. It was pleasant and somehow familiar, but I couldn't place it. I tried to think of where I might have come across the scent before but nothing seemed to spring to mind. I decided to try and not think about it and hope that my subconscious would bring me the answer so I wouldn't have to have it gnawing away at me. Later that evening before bed it suddenly hit me: the floral notes reminded me of my time on Chandrila. I hadn't thought much of that time in my life for a while. My family's path there was somewhat long and circuitous. My father had been a manager at a cargo transport company and we had been living comfortably and secure. The transport company was smaller and prided itself on service, plus the owner insisted on following Empire rules. He instructed all employees to cooperate when asked and as a result the company was rarely bothered by the Empire. This sterling reputation was sadly, also the downfall of the company. Rebels had mistakenly derived from the situation that the company was either an Empire front or a complicit agent of the Empire and shipping goods for the Empire. Despite this not actually being the case the Rebels raided a main warehouse and finding nothing of use to them set fire to the warehouse to cover their tracks. The loss of goods was covered by insurance but the subsequent rate increase was too much, especially combined with the loss of confidence from customers. The business had to close and in short order our financial situation became more precarious. My father struggled to find any work and certainly nothing of the same pay. He became depressed and didn't want to go outside. Our constant need for help from friends further drove him to sadness. Finally my mother took control of the situation and declared that we were going to move to Chandrila to stay with her sister. Aunt Elisa and Uncle Max were alone on Chandrila having never had kids. Their house was large and they led a very good life. They were more than happy to have us come and live with them. Looking back I think that secretly Aunt Elisa wanted kids but since Uncle Max wasn't very patient with small children she was glad to have me there. I almost thought of her as a second mother. Chandrila was known for appreciating nature and their house had a spectacular courtyard out back. There were flowers of all varieties and grass. The air always smelled so fresh and even a slight breeze would bring the bouquet of floral scents into the house. I especially loved the fountain out back. It constantly sprayed water up and made such a calming bubbling sound. My aunt prided herself on her garden and she would often come out and watch me play out back. I think she was never so happy as being in her garden "alone" with me. It was such a simple time and one where I didn't worry about Rebel ambushes. I dreamed of being a space pilot, ignorant of the harsh realities. My time on Chandrila had reflected the reputation of the planet: paradise. For more pics:
  13. The micro building has a great 70s/80s vibe to it. I like the recap format and the photos are spectacular as always. Thanks for all your hard work!
  14. The little robot reminds me of a cross between WALL-E and EVE. Great lab as usual and nice action sequences. The professor seems to still have some spring in his step!
  15. Whatever it is, I want one!
  16. Glad to hear the story wrap up. Those dimensional creatures were really well done and scary! Great dialogue and great pics. I'll miss CLAPPIE a lot. He seemed such a big part of Octan and featured in a lot of builds. Thanks for being part of the farewell tour.
  17. Great conclusion! I too like that last parting shot as he begins his new life. Hopefully at some point we get DLL to post one more time.
  18. I can assure you that not all cats land on their feet, my one seems to be less than graceful. But as long as you keep to a higher quality of cat, our speeders should be highly successful. Plus given that cats already sleep about 22hrs a day, there is a minimal amount of down time. And their fueling needs are minimal! That Eshey, so smart.
  19. Hey it is me and pombe on the truck. And Santa in the crowd! And Thaum too!
  20. That is beautiful! The color usage, the layout... wow. I especially love the big air handlers (?) that hang out and the piping. A fitting last build. I'm hoping we see you again in AG2.
  21. As a category F person, I'm glad to hear that C + D are now done.
  22. Location: E10 Traig IV Tags: Land Vehicle, Civil Building Previously... // PERSONAL DIARY // I had made my way to Traig IV after talking to Tor about where the intel seemed to point for a likely location of John. I felt like I was chasing a ghost and while I wanted it to be true I also didn't know for sure how much I should trust it being true. I made my way to an Octan location that had been identified and tried to temper my expectations. As I arrived it seemed very quiet, though I suppose that isn't too surprising given our very limited presence on planet. As I got off my speeder and prepared to walk through the door to the control area I felt my heart rate rise despite my best attempts at control. What would I find on the other side? The speeder:
  23. Knowing that we all have fatigue heading into the final week or 2 of the game, is it possible to get the scores done quicker so we know when to post our final tech build? It is all a formality at this point and just a matter of when Octan posts it since Kawa and Mantis effectively conceded a while ago. So ideally if we can just go ahead and wrap this up and look towards AG2 or for me personally, opening one of the 20+ sets sitting at home that I've neglected during my time building for AG.
  24. Really love the hangar and especially the stands they sit on. The two grays and their contrast plus with the lime at the top really look fantastic!
