Marvel Superheroes 2024 - Rumors & Discussion
Scarilian replied to Clone OPatra's topic in LEGO Licensed
I can see it either being the upper body of Surtur facing off against Thor and Valkyrie or Thor and Hela, in which case Lego adapting Ragnarok into a final battle set is extremely likely OR a Zurg-style brick-built figure intended for playability where Surtur is fighting Thor and potentially a Fire Demon or inserting a supporting character from another part of the film. The latter would'nt erase the potential for an upper body buildable figure of Surtur, it'd just mean that Lego wants to try and appeal to those wanting a figure for playability as opposed to just for display. Naturally if it is a buildable figure, given the price, that would eat into the piece count and mean it probably would'nt have a side build. I'm predicting the latter with the set box art showing him fighting Thor, using his fire sword, which was one of the main things in marketing with Thor spinning his hammer to stop the fire reaching him. It's also the only time he actually fights Surtur in the movie :p The chair or more likely the cage would just be a side build because they'd want something more to the set than just a figure vs a brick-built figure and the set-up of the scene has Surtur in his chair monologuing and Thor imprisoned with chains after falling out of a bone cage. They'd probably want to revisit Phase 1-3 films which were popular. Thor: Ragnarok is the most financially succesful Thor film and in terms of untapped set potential they've never adapted Surtur and they've never given us Asgard. They've also recently re-introduced the new Hulk big-fig and would want to maximise it's usage so adapting the final battle of Thor: Ragnarok would make sense. Similar to NWH it'd also make sense to give us a buildable figure scale upper body of Surtur as a seperate set, so the main final battle set could focus as a display piece of Asgard and the Rainbow Bridge which would sell well without Surtur and would work as a depiction of the final battle against Hela. Gladiator Hulk would probably come later when they start doing the big-figs with helmets and accessories - such as Thanos with his helmet. -

No figures or piece counts have been confirmed. General belief is that for the pricing we'd get a brick-built Surtur, Thor and potentially one other figure. If it's trying to be accurate to the opening scene then it'd be a Fire Demon as that was the only other beings there. The Giant Man aspect would work, but it's just the location itself. The battle primarily takes place on the wide empty concrete of the airport interrupted occasionally by a plane, helicopter, car, truck, etc... I think it'd fail to be adapted into one of the Final Battle style display sets due to this as the battle location is not specific enough. The closest thing you could tie to a big moment would be the plane scene but how would that be adapted as a set. It'd work more as a playset or multiple playsets. Similar to if Kang Dynasty was succesful then they probably would have done a final battle playset as opposed to a 'final battle display' In similar regard to the suggestions for Infinity War/Battle of Titan/Battle of Wakanda... what would be the specific build that's the focal point? I can only see those getting adapted as playsets or potentially similar to how the Endgame Final Battle set was adapted where the appeal is the figures because the location is just a destroyed area and I think that would'nt appeal in regards to the display aspect. Your description works but I'd picture that more as three playsets that combine as opposed to circular display models. It's like I could sorta justify the idea of an Iron Man 2 final battle using the garden area, it's not particularly iconic but it'd work visually as a display area and you can have Iron Man, War Machine, Army Drone, Navy Drone, Marine Drone, Air Force Drone and Whiplash MK2. I guess I'm just hoping Lego are focusing more on the display as opposed to just having a destroyed or empty area - at which point you are just paying for the figures. I think it was a description included with the prototype when they were evaluating its pricing. -

I think it's more likely this is based on the intro, the pricing makes it unlikely it'd be the final battle and I think Lego have demonstrated a desire to turn the big battles into $100+ sets. Something like a planned series of sets seems likely to me: Surtur Battle (Similar to 76831) Build: Brick-built Surtur (Scales well with Thor, good for playability) his crown piece is detachable. Potentially has a cage that Thor could escape from. 2 Figures: Thor (Brand new accurate figure), Fire Demon Ragnarok: Final Battle (Similar to 76261) Build: Asgard and segment of Rainbow Bridge. Could include Surtur's crown piece and the Tesseract hidden in the Asgard build. 9 Figures: Hela, Skurge, Valkyrie, Thor, Korg, Miek, Loki, Bruce Banner, Berserker Hulk Vs Surtur: Final Battle (Similar to 76280) Build: Surtur Upper Body (Scales better with Hulk, good for display), can combine with the Ragnarok: Final Battle set 2 Figures; Hulk (Big-Fig), Thor, Valykrie Could do a smaller set for Fire Demons/Berserkers or a set focused on Fenrir, but generally the above three sets I could see covering the theme. I think Thor: Ragnarok will be the next to recieve a 'NWH Final Battle' style set/sets. It has a key central location (Asgard/Rainbow Bridge) and similar to the NWH set has a big brick-built figure that could be added onto the build via a seperate set. There's also not really any other MCU film that would warrant similar treatment for the final battle - the requirements being an iconic location in-universe or IRL while featuring a large impossing threat and a large amount of key characters. I think Fantastic Four could wind up qualifying, but we won't know until 2025 and likely would'nt get that set near the release of the film. I think if it happens it'd be 'with $100 spend on Marvel' as opposed to directly tied to the X-Men Mansion. I imagine it'd just be a Deadpool in a polybag with a sword or two, probably comic or animated show styled to differentiate more from the r-rated movie and fit in with the likely comic styled figures of the X-Men Mansion and the X-Jet. They could naturally rerelease this version of Deadpool later to keep aftermarket prices down and if Deadpool shows up in Avengers 5/6/7 they'd likely be forced to include a more movie-inspired version of him in a set. -

X-Men Mansion prototype was 3122 pieces, 9 minifigures, 9 seemingly unique, for $300. Sanctum Sanctorum was 2708 pieces, 9 minifigures, 7 unique, for $250. Figures in the prototype for reference: Prof X, Mangeto, Wolverine, Storm, Cyclops, Beast, Mystique, Sabertooth and Emma Frost I think it'll remain the 9 figures shown in the prototype coupled with a GWP of over $100 polybag of Deadpool or something along those lines - if we are lucky. -
Sonic the Hedgehog - Rumours and Discussion

I'm expecting a December set will give us Super Shadow, It'd probably get a sales boost from featuring a variant of Shadow after the movie increases his popularity. Given a Super Shadow is just pallet swapped Shadow it'd be easy enough to do also. In terms of other characters, while the games they are drawing inspiration from had Mecha Sonic, I think they'd be more likely to go for Metal Sonic because it's a more popular version of the character and there was/is fan speculation that he'll show up in the third film. Super Shadow, Metal Sonic and Sonic in a December set would pair well with '76999' if it does feature Super Sonic, Robotnik and Shadow. It'd also get a sales boost from featuring a variant of Shadow after the movie increases his popularity. I think so, but not necessarily for the Summer wave. I'd say maybe one or two figures, but likely in December. Probably Super Shadow (As a recolour of Shadow) and maybe Metal Sonic. 2023: Sonic, 'Winking Sonic', Tails, Amy and Robotnik. Technically Shadow though he's likely part of the 2024 budget. 2024: Shadow, Knuckles and Rouge and Super Sonic. Speculation: Tails’ Adventure Boat - Tails, Amy and Rouge Knuckles and the Master Emerald - include Knuckles and Sonic Super Sonic vs Egg Drillster - Super Sonic, Robotnik and Shadow This splits Knuckles, Shadow and Rouge over the three Summer sets and pairs them with previously released characters. If they bring back the track pieces it'd explain the pricing of the Knuckles and Super Sonic set. Other than a potential variant I'd be surprised if these sets give us a new figure other than Super Sonic in the Summer. With Team Sonic being completed by the inclusion of Knuckles I think they'll probably find a set to include E-123 Omega as a brick-built figure soon as it'd complete Team Dark. At which point with the potential for Super Shadow and Metal Sonic closing out 2024 they could give us Cheese, Cream and Big (Along with Froggy) for 2025 to give us Team Rose as the potential last wave. Easiest way to do it would be using the hair piece from Shadow. Sonic's is normally slightly more curved upwards while Shadow's is normally more jagged, but in terms of a Lego adaptation I could see it working fine. -

I really think people are over-expecting on the Surtur set because of the final battle of that film, whereas it seems more likely the set is based on the opening of the film. You should'nt really get your hopes up past Thor and a brick-built Surtur and maybe a Fire Demon. Heck, it could even be that the focus is on Surtur so he'll scale well with a potential Asgard set they have planned. If it's a buildable figure in the style of the recent action figure style ones we've been getting, then it's probably half of Surtur similar to how we got half of Sandman - in which case I would'nt be surprised if they are planning an Asgard set. Though I'd lean more to this Surtur being in the style of either Zurg (76831) or the Cage Monster (71455) True, I kinda forgot about 76266 existing honestly. That set had 1 big fig, 5 figures and a microfig along with a horse for Valkyrie. If we take out the horse and the microfig that should grant us an additional minifigure slot. So we'd be looking at something like 1 big fig and 6 figures. It kinda shifts my expectations on what the AoU final battle set would be. I've been thinking it'd have the focus be on the 'Doomsday Trigger', but what if it doesn't? What if it's actually adapting this scene: In the movie the primary defeat of Ultimate Ultron is due to Vision, Thor and Iron Man blasting him with lasers/lightning before Hulk punches him away. I feel as such those five characters would be absolutely necessary for the set. At which point you have two additional slots for figures, so who else was the focal point of the film? Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch who are instrumental in the films overall plot. Quicksilver's death also motivates Scarlet Witch to finally end Ultron also so would tie in well. So we'd have 1 big fig, 6 figures. Hulk (Big-Fig) Ultimate Ultron Vision Thor Iron Man Quicksilver Scarlet Witch The set is a 10th anniversary set, GotG1 released in 2014 so chances are a 10th anniversary Milano would be based primarily on that film. I'd lean to the figures being focused around the first film while the ship will encorporate elements from all of its screen time. -

Yep :3 These sound about right considering the pricing. The Surtur set could easily turn out looking something like the Zurg set. Milano I'd lean to having 6 figures: Starlord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, Groot and probably Ronan the Accuser. I think they'll have learnt from the complaints about the lack of including the full team in 76193 and this is a 10th anniversary set so they'd want to include all the heroes and the villain from GotG. I can't see them dropping anyone from the AoU Final battle, I think it'd be more likely the build itself suffers in order to allow for a figure count that would include all the key characters. Perhaps not even have the majority of the building where they fight, just an open display where they have the 'Doomsday Trigger' in the centre and some random ruins around them. By lowering the piece count of the build to around 500 pieces (Compared to Spider-man: NWH's Final Battle having 760 pieces), they could potentially justify 10 Figures: Big-Fig Hulk, Ultimate Ultron, Vision, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver. Noting that six of these would likely be repeated figures from other sets. I hope they would'nt have chosen to include Hulk if it meant sacrificing one of the other characters from the line-up, especially when we have Hulk in a cheaper set. -

Milano is my favourite ship of the Guardians, so nice to see it getting a UCS scale. The idea of labelling it as a 10th anniversary set is intriguing, perhaps we'll get some other sets labelled with this in the future. Iron Legion vs. Ultron Bots sounds like a good battle pack, though it needs to have at least four figures for that price point (2 Vs. 2) Avengers Battle, given the inclusion of Hulk, is probably going to be based on the final battle OR the Helicarrier Hulk scene. Lego really seem to be going all out on the big figs in sets this time. I can't personally see Lego giving us all the Avengers in a single $59.99 set. I expect it'll include Hawkeye because then it can act as a companion to 76248 - The Avengers Quinjet and fill out the roster. Perhaps Hulk, Hawkeye and some Chitauri with a Leviathan build? AoU Final Battle set is nice but the inclusion of Hulk makes me question just what the set itself will look like. Including a big fig normally chews into the piece count and impacts the pricing so I'm not expecting much from the build itself. I hope it actually includes the entire line-up: Ultimate Ultron, Vision, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver. Ideally it needs some of the Ultron bots also, but I'm guessing that's why the battlepack exists... The Midi Scale Helicarrier is intriguing. I'm expecting people to buy several of them to replicate scenes from Captain America: The Winter Soldier. I'm still leaning towards them remaking the Helicarrier and this feels like a tease towards that. I'm guessing it won't have any figures given the price and piece count. Surtur is neat, glad we are getting him - another antagonist from a prior film filled. I'm guessing it'll just be a brick-built Surtur, a throne/cage build, Thor and maybe a fire demon. Potted Groot exists... It's something logical for that line of larger brick built figures I suppose. Iron Man's Motorcycle, maybe we'll get a variant of Iron Man. Not expecting much from it. Overall, sounds like a pretty good wave. Milano, Surtur Battle, Iron Legion Vs Ultron Bots, Helicarrier and AoU final battle are all on my radar. Seems like a fairly good wave in concept, we just need to see the sets now to know for sure. X-Men Mansion is probably around November 8th, which was the release date of Deadpool 3 at one stage. I'm guessing any other X-Men sets would have been around that time also or maybe into early 2025. I'm guessing the Surtur set will just be a brick built version of Surtur, a throne/cage build and Thor as the only figure. Maybe throw in a fire demon figure. In general I'm expecting it to be based on the opening scene of Thor: Ragnarok. -

I imagine they'd need them to tie in either with other sets they were making at the time OR they'd want them to be from movies that are popular enough to justify them (either past releases or films releasing at the same time to try and boost sales) As examples: 2024 could give us: X-Men Sentinel Battle Pack - Tie in with the X-Jet and the X-Mansion Iron Legion Battle Pack - Tie in with Avengers Tower and any potential set based on Sokovia Ultron Sentry Battle Pack - Tie in with any sets intended to include Ultron Prime and/or Ultimate Ultron from AoU which I'd expect to be this year 2025 could then give us: Wakandan Battle Pack - Tie in with the release of the 'Eyes Of Wakanda' animated series intended for late 2024/early 2025 Skrull Battle Pack - Tie in with Fantastic Four, IF the Skrull are involved in that film. -

SPECULATION: Tried to figure out a wave from the set prices we have without including a Hulkbuster :p UCS AoU Quinjet: $169.99 A display version of the Quinjet in the style of 76193: The Guardians Ship. It would feature Vision's pod as an accessory that can store inside the ship along with a feature to drop Cap's Motorbike. It'd feature the Battle Damaged Ultron Sentry that Ultron uses after his defeat with a partially transparent arm. It'd feature six figures: Ultron Prime (New), Vision, Iron Man MK43 (New), Captain America, Black Widow and a Battle Damaged Ultron Sentry (New - Red Eyes) Battle of Sokovia, $109.99 Similar to 76261: Spider-man: Final Battle the set would be focused around depicting the final battle location of AoU. It'd be an open topped ruined structure of tan with the anti-gravity device in the middle for the heroes to defend It'd feature 11 figures: Ultimate Ultron (New), Vision, Iron Man MK45 (New), Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver (New), Ultron Sentry (New - Blue eyes) and another Ultron Sentry (New - Blue eyes) Hydra Base Attack: $59.99 Primarily a remake of 76041: The Hydra Fortress Smash, no tank with focus on the castle this time with places for Hulk to smash. The set would feature 5 figures: Big-Fig Hulk, Quicksilver (New) Captain America, Baron Strucker (New) and a Hydra Goon (New) Iron Legion Attack: $14.99 It'd be very loosely inspired by the film as it'd give us a War Machine figure as he has a small role in the film and would come with a stud launcher for playability. Build would be an assembly area for the Iron Legion that we briefly see in AoU. The set would feature 3 figures: Iron Legion Sentry (New), Iron Legion Sentry (New), Ultron Sentry (New - Blue eyes) and War Machine MK2 (New) This would leave a $24.99 set to be a Spider-man: NWH Bridge Battle set featuring Iron Spider-man, Doc Ock and Spider-man 1 Green Goblin and the other $59.99 set being a War Machine Helmet :P There does seem to be some speculation on this being the case IF we get accurate Deadpool 3 sets they would likely be the most appealing sets that Lego has done for a film - giving us vehicles and characters that would be nice for fans of the MCU and Fox-Verse. I would say given the release dates shifting around, if Lego did plan any Deadpool 3 tie-in sets then they could be anytime from the Summer Wave to the Winter Wave. -

I think it'd have attachment points to connect with those Iron Man armory sets in some form, or could be altered to connect with another modular - but the focus would be on it displaying on its own similar to the modular lighthouse or the fishing store. I imagine something like this in concept, a sorta slice of the building as opposed to the entire thing. The bottom section would be a garage featuring a workshop, Iron Man suit-up gantry (Detatchable for playability) and a car. Easter eggs for the Particle Accelerator (Iron Man 2) along with the proto Captain America shield and the 'Proof Tony Stark has a heart' would be featured here. The middle section would feature the piano (Iron Man 1), couch and suit display area (Iron Man 3) with space for the MK1-7. Easter eggs including showing the Mansion on TV (Iron Man 3) and an 'I am Iron Man' newspaper would be featured here. The top section would feature the bedroom, boxing room (Iron Man 2) and a storage room. Easter eggs of the giant bunny (Iron Man 3) and some newspapers mentioning Obadiah Stane along with Howard Stark and Whiplash. Something like that I could see working easy enough. Honestly, that sounds better than what we'll probably get for the comic-inspired sets... Hydra Cap is a variant some actually desire. Superior Iron Man has huge potential as a figure and has resurfaced in public interest along with being a cool Iron Man variant for peoples collections White Widow getting a comic accurate version of her before we see the live action version, yeah, that'd make sense. Worthy Loki depending on the version is still a cool design for the character Deadpool and Hydra Bob would probably sell pretty much any set and shoving them in a really goofy set to emphasise it's not remotely film related might be the only way Lego could justify a Deadpool figure Could'nt possibly sell worse than Marvel's Katy Welcome :) I think with big figs returning and having the head pieces be able to seperate off it should open up for more possibilities of new big figs as it'd be easier for them to print different head sculpts. Venom would definitely be one of the simpler characters to do a big fig of as it's just a Spider print on the body. It's just a matter of whether they have the budget and think it'd sell well enough. -

I think Tony's Malibu Mansion might be something, perhaps this year or next. Andrea's Modern Mansion in the Friends theme is a 2275 piece $169.99 featuring a Mansion build built into a cliff and a car. I feel if Lego takes this concept, rework it, it'd work as a Tony Stark Malibu Mansion set. Would probably need to cost more due to the licensing and for the required curvy design of the Malibu Mansion though. I think Namor's Throne was probably the more creative set of the wave and the one I was most interested in, just never got around to it. Looked like the best set of the movie wave. If they got the license for the classic version, I'd hope that they'd give us a figure of him eventually. -

In regards to Red Hulk, we might be in a weird position honestly. Red Hulk's original concept art would likely have been based on William Hurt who passed away March 2022 and was replaced by Harrison Ford in October 2022. They could'nt have produced concept art for Red Hulk with Ford's likeness until after the casting in October 2022. It's unclear how early Lego needs the concept art to begin the process of designing and releasing sets. Spider-man: NWH released in December 2021 and we did not get the accurate sets till August 2023 - a turnaround of 20 months if we assume they started in December 2021. Comparatively October 2022 to April 2024 is a turnaround of 18 months - as such there's a very slim possibility that it may wind up being based on outdated concept art for Red Hulk. This possibility increases slightly with the notion of the delays for reshoots as the finalized movie may alter the designs once more. Personally though my expectation is just this with slightly more detailing on the trousers and having a movable head with removable hair. If the fire rumours are true then perhaps utilizing the studs on the back for some flame pieces. Doubt it. Even stretching the set I can think of only 6 characters the set would include: Doc Ock, Green Goblin, Iron Spider, Peter Paker, J.J.Jameson and University Lady. I've always imagined the set as being smaller with a re-used Doc Ock,Classic Green Goblin, re-used Iron Spider and a female civilian if it were to ever happen. -

Yeah, I meant in the context of a hypothetical line-up of four sets for TF:One, having a female transformer in the mix adds a bit of variance to the sets and may attract a wider audience to get interested in the buildable figures. It also helps make the fourth figure in the list stand out more when compared to the likes of Optimus, Bumblebee and Megatron. -
Ongoing Transformers Rumors and Discussion
Scarilian replied to NoOneOfImportance's topic in LEGO Licensed
'Orange' could frankly be anything, but I think the most realistic options are Zelda or Transformers:One as we know we are getting Zelda and something Transformers related in 2024. It's likely a licensed theme they don't want to spoil the reveal of, hence the codename. If Bionicle does come back, I'd imagine 2025, probably late 2025, going into the 25th anniversary in 2026. The longer downtime it has, the more chance for new joints, armour shell pieces and other aspects to be introduced that Lego could recycle for later. I was only considering it's return here if 'Orange' is Transformers: One as Transformers: One would allow for the introduction of even more shell pieces and potentially a new body piece that would fit with Bionicle given its potential appearance with the T-Cog being in a similar position to where the Toa Mata had the gears. We'll see how it happens, but regardless we're definitely getting something Transformers related. I just think if they intended to do more Transformers figures then the most logical option after doing a brick-built Optimus Prime would be to go the younger direction and probably tie it in with the upcoming film. After all, if Transformers: One ends up being a Spider-verse level success then it could end up launching a long lasting Transformers theme with Lego - Buildable figures for playability while detailed transforming mechs for display. Optimus and Bumblebee are probably recognisable enough and popular enough for people to buy them. Megatron similarly is popular and I imagine he'll end up becoming an antagonist eventually in the films, though there's been a few younger focused shows where Megatron is more of an ally to the Autobots. Elita-1 is a bit more debatable, but being the only female Transformer may tap into additional markets and widen the buildable figure range which at the moment has been only male characters. -

Yes, it's taking an extremely divisive political/social situation and giving it to the hands of writers who have shown they are incompetent at handling politics/social issue (TF&TWS) for use in a film that should really be focused on entertainment at a time when Disney have acknowledge they should be stepping away from messaging regarding political/social issues. Given there's an an ongoing Israel and Palestine conflict it'd be against their interest to take a political/social stance so the most logical option would be to heavily diminish or if possible cut Sabra's role in the film. Making her a hero or villain would only create division. I think at its core, bringing it back to Lego, Lego themselves would not know how the character would be handled as the set would be based on concept art provided to them in 2021/2022 and definitely have no clue how the character would be handled in the reshot version that we'll see in 2025. As such I doubt they were aware of the potential controversy surrounding the character's history, but given the current situation in the world and how Lego have cancelled sets or dropped figures for less. I think it'd be justifiable on Lego's part to remove Sabra from the set over concerns it would risk representing a stance in a modern military conflict. I imagine it'll be like this, just swapping the bike for wings and the jeep for a big fig: Nope, it's just a bad film and deserving of a poor rating. -

Happy New Year :D I'd imagine he would have a visually destinct figure from how a Thunderbolt Ross figure pre-Ford would have been handled. I don't think you understand the reason why she might be removed. It's more related to the history of her character and the context of what she's about. If Disney have no intent to delve into any of that, then it was a mistake even labelling and promoting the new character as Sabra in the first place - hence why the character should be removed. -

Ross would be yet another figure that would be useful to have. Though it's not as usable given it's Harrison Ford and not William Hurt so would'nt work for The Incredible Hulk, Civil War or Endgame's portrayal of the character. Honestly Lego had a choice between Betty Ross, Isaih Bradley, Winter Soldier, The Leader, Thunderbolt Ross or even the minor villain of the film, Cobra, and instead they decide on Sabra - the brand new character that the audience may not even get attached to -

I kinda want Lego to just go 'screw it' and start releasing these sets at the intended release date as opposed to delaying them because of the incompetence of Disney resulting in a big mess later on. If it is indeed delayed I can't see it being delayed to more than November when they'll have shown off Red Hulk in the trailers (If he's still in the film when it happens) If so, they should switch her with CMF Winter Soldier (Maybe without leg print to keep the CMF unique). That way the set could have some more overlap with TF&TWS. Though realistically it should be The Leader to provide another antagonist for the set (Sam Vs Red Hulk, Torres Vs The Leader) Hopefully, too many characters already confirmed for this film and they've barely developed Joaquin Torres, let alone introducing and developing Sabra when we still have Sharon Carter doing whatever she's doing along with countless other characters that could fill the role that Sabra would probably have in the movie. We may not even have Sabra or Red Hulk in the finalized version of this movie when it airs in 2025. Sabra I could see them ditching due to IRL events. Red Hulk could easily be swapped out because the 'evil president' plotline was supposed to be commentary on IRL events also... switching him for Hulk in order to pay off the World War Hulk aspects would make sense and then have Red Hulk as the leader of the Thunderbolts (MCU's Suicide Squad) in a role similar to Amanda Waller. -

True, we don't have much to go off and it was just a singular image. I'm hesitant to write it off completely though as I think it makes sense to revisit AoU and the recent teases we have hinted towards the Iron Legion who only really appeared at the Avengers Tower and the Hydra Fortress Attack at the start of AoU. Happy Holidays and congrats on your Lego hauls :) I could see a Malibu Mansion eventually but I think the external shaping is probably what is holding them back along with the notion that a majority of the appeal of the set is the underground segment with Tony's lab, Suit display area, garage and the Hall of Armours. To do the set justice it'd likely need to feature the original 7 armours, the MK42, Dum-E and U, Tony Stark, James Rhodes (Unless they just include a spare head for when he's in the MK2), Pepper Potts, Nick Fury, Maya Hansen , Phil Coulson, etc... along with probably throwing in some more armour variants also and maybe the extremis version of Aldrich Killian (Grey Trousers, new Torso print) because we'll probably never get the Oil Tanker/Docks, and an updated Ben Kingsley's Mandarin because he's the figure everyone would want.
