  1. DreamBuildBricks on Rebrickable did what I was suggesting with the Friends Mansion set and turned it into a more Iron Man themed set with a pallet swap and some changes by combining three sets together (42639: Andrea's Modern Mansion, 31139: Cozy House and 76216: Iron Man Armory). I'm sure that Lego can do something interesting with the Malibu Mansion if they end up tackling it. Fingers crossed the X-Men Mansion has some neat features inside, because I don't really want it just to be a facade.
  2. Lego in 2022 claimed that the cost of raw materials was increasing to justify the price rising, yet they've switched to sustainable materials and are actively reducing printing costs by not printing as much on the instruction manuals and are also switching to paper packaging. They even intend to remove the instruction manuals in future. It seems they've done a lot to decrease their costs and yet the pricing is not reflected in the cost of the products they make - which are increasing as opposed to remaining the same or decreasing. The only potential justification for a 4 figure, 135 piece, $25 set would be if all the figures have full printing (Arms, Torso, Legs), but this is Lego, we don't know if they'll even have more than torso prints and chances are most the figures will be a mixed bag like with the 'updated' Ronan and Ultron MK1. I don't think it's acceptable to exploit customers finances this way by raising price per piece to around $0.19 or higher. All it does is incentivize people to buy during sales, normally from secondary retailers or resellers, as opposed to purchasing for retail price - which harms Lego regardless in the long run. This one from 2022. Seems weird to introduce this style of set and then never do it again for Marvel. The timing also emphasises that a battle pack for Marvel really should'nt be $25. Even if you view it as four figures, as opposed to five, this is still the style the battle packs should be.
  3. If the new status quo of the battle pack is accurate, then it's gone from a guaranteed purchase to an extremely easy pass and a severely concerned view of how Lego is handling battle packs for Marvel. $24.99 with a claimed 135 pieces for four figures is ridiculous. I don't believe its accurate. I think it's more likely that the set number has changed but the pricing is $14.99 and the piece count is 135 pieces. It'd be such a horrific pricing especially when compared with Marvel battle packs of the past such as the amazing Iron Man Vs Ultron set that retailed for $12.99 with four figures or the more recent Endgame Battle pack that retailed for $14.99 with five figures. I'm still praying that the set number has altered but the pricing remains at $14.99 as originally reported with 135 pieces. I may have to follow @BrickBob Studpants in consuming a figure if this is accurate because I really believe these reports :p Sounds about right
  4. Eh, sounds like something I'd only want one of. If the price is indeed $25 then it's an easy skip. The Hydra Agents from AoU either wear generic camo or really goofy Chitauri armour. Whichever we got would either look generic or silly. At which point after the initial purchase it'd be spending $25 to get two Iron Legion Drones. Would probably just bricklink them from whoever is army building the Hydra Agents. I'm still expecting that the Iron Legion set is being misreported by some sources as 76288 ($24.99, 245pcs) set. While the figure count could be a justification I don't see why they'd make the battle pack set so expensive. I don't see how the Thor: Ragnarok Surtur Battle set could be 76287 ($14.99, 136pcs) set. If that is indeed the case then the best we could hope for would be that Surtur looks like Steppenwolf.
  5. Title announcement was hype. I'm kinda hoping we get Sonic Movie 3 sets.
  6. Fairly quiet month ahead, but should pick up a bit near the end of the month. Updated List: The next reveals we'll see will probably be the Green Goblin (With Glider) buildable figure and the NWH Spider-man buildable figure as they are scheduled for April. With the Captain America 4 set and buildable figure likely being delayed, though we could see visuals of them leaked depending on how far into production they were. Last week of February we'll likely get more info on the summer sets, similar to in 2023 March has the release of a handful of Spidey and His Amazing Friends sets April gives us two Spider-man: NWH buildable figures Last week of May we'll likely get the reveal of some of the Summer sets, similar to 2023
  7. Triskelion I'd lean more to it being released as a smaller build in scale with the Mid-Scale Helicarrier as a sorta microscale (?) build/display. I'm not sure on its own if it'd sell particularly well. I think the design is alright, but I'm not sure it has anything internal that would work for adaptation beyond generic offices, open lobby, that sorta thing. Avengers Mansion could definitely work for comics, primarily as a way to flood us with comic versions of the Avengers, though I'm hesitant because I think Lego would'nt want to release it so close to X-Men Mansion as the builds would no doubt draw comparisons. They've chosen to tease the Sentinel in the CMF and by its exclusion from the X-Jet I'd lean to it being saved for a later set. Maybe a Danger Room playset or GWP for X-Men Mansion. I'd definitely expect to see the Sentinel this year or next though as the exclusion is notable.
  8. I think they have enough to last till probably around 2032, based on the idea of us getting an iconic building set each year. Movies: Tony Stark's Malibu Mansion Asgard/Rainbow Bridge Wakanda/Panther Statue Avengers Facility Comics: Oscorp Fantastic Four Baxter Building Fisk Tower/Nelson & Murdock's Law Offices/Alias Investigation The Raft Though the movies and comics do have other buildings that lack adaptation, I feel this are the main ones with a chance of adaptation in the forseeable future. I have listed some that appeared in the 'movies' as 'comics' because it'd be more suited to a comic-inspired set enabling freedom of figure selection where otherwise you'd be severely limited on characters you could include. That's partially why I find it disappointing. I don't see much originality with the DC sets and I'm expecting another primarily black/gray build of probably another Batman themed aspect. Perhaps they could do the Hall of Justice, but it'd probably need as many pieces as the National History Museum if that were the case. A comic/animated inspired Daily Planet would be a must-buy for me but it's also not gonna happen for that piece count. Yeah, that's a bit weird. I've only ever had to order one replacement piece and mine arrived within two weeks, but that was for a fairly standard piece.
  9. If that is the case, that's a bit unfortunate. I'm hesitant to write it off yet though until we know for sure what it is. Chances are it got lost in the mail, request it again and explain the situation. No problem :3
  10. 10335 and 10337 (1506 pieces) in the Icons theme are codenamed as 'Vehicle' with 10337 intended for a July release. Original release of Transformers: One was July 19th 2024... I think if we're getting Transformers in the icon sets we know about, then it's probably 10337 given the piece count similar to Optimus (1508 pieces) and maybe 10335. There's other icon sets which don't yet have codenames, but the piece counts on those are 950 and 608 respectively.
  11. I'd guess in terms of releasing the missing figures: A Malibu Mansion set could give us exclusives of MK4 and another suit. An Iron Man 3: Final Battle could give us exclusives of the MK15, MK16, MK35 and MK40. At which point they'd technically have 20 figures left to release: 76216 showed they could technically have 3-5 Iron Man style suits in a set focused around collecting them. Armor Wars, probably 2026-2028, could help to boost sales of Iron Man suits and they could always throw in an Iron Man figure to help boost sales. 20th anniversary sets for Iron Man in 2028, if they happen, could encorporate other suits under the 'inspired by' labelling 15th anniversary sets for Iron Man 2 in 2025, if they happen, could encorporate other suits under the 'inspired by' labelling 15th anniversary sets for Iron Man 3 in 2028, if they happen, could be used to give us a bunch of Iron Man suits 10th/15th Anniversarys of Avengers films in 2025 (AoU), 2027 (Avengers), 2028 (IW) or 2029 (Endgame), if they happen, could give us golden figures for the characters including one which would work for a MK21. Colourful figures like MK27 or MK28 would work for polybags and/or comic-inspired sets. Ideally CMF series 3 in September 2025 and CMF series 4 in September 2027 and maybe CMF series 5 in September 2029, which could give us an Iron Man suit/suits in the line-ups. I think given all those options it is possible that we'll have gotten a majority (if not all) the missing 26 figures by the end of 2029. My only concern would be if they decide to show the MK51-MK84 at some point... No problem :3
  12. The primary suit missing is the MK4 suit, it only appeared in Iron Man 2. We'd already had the Silver Centurion figure, but we're missing three suits he wore in Iron Man 3's final battle: 'MK16 - Nightclub', 'MK40 - Shotgun' and 'MK15 - Sneaky'. I'd say you could make an arguement for certain suits that are directly named by Tony during the final battle such as 'MK 35 - Red Snapper' As such I would expect the MK4, MK15, MK16, MK35 and the MK40 to be the suits that Lego will aim to release in the near future as they were all either worn or directly named by Tony Stark in the films. A potential 'Iron Man 3 Final Battle' set would be an easy way to give us the MK15, MK16, MK35 and MK40. While the MK4 was only used up to the mansion fight with Rhodey in the MK2. A Malibu Mansion set, Armory set or polybag seems the most likely way to release the MK4 as they'd probably want to avoid directly adapting the drunken fight. Missing suits (Total 26) MK4, MK8, MK9, MK10, MK11, MK12, MK13, MK14, MK15, MK16, MK18, MK19, MK20, MK21, MK23, MK24, MK26, MK27, MK28, MK29, MK31, MK32, MK34, MK35, MK36, MK40 I've listed some that were 'clearly inspired' along with the full list of suits we've had as I doubt Lego would revisit those suits that they've already released a reasonable likeness to: Iron Man MK1 Iron Man MK2 Iron Man MK3 Iron Man MK5 Iron Man MK6 Iron Man MK7 Iron Man MK17 Iron Man MK22 (Kinda, not exact) Iron Man MK25 Iron Man MK30 (Kinda, not exact) Iron Man MK33 Iron Man MK37 (Kinda, not exact) Iron Man MK38 Iron Man MK39 (Kinda, not exact) Iron Man MK41 Iron Man MK42 Iron Man MK43 Iron Man MK44 Iron Man MK45 Iron Man MK46 Iron Man MK47 Iron Man MK48 Iron Man MK49 (Rescue) Iron Man MK50 Iron Man MK85
  13. I'm guessing one of these new codenames may be for Transformers. So we should keep an eye on them just to be safe. Bright: 75681: 7+ 75682: 9+ 75683: 9+ 75684: 8+ Bright has four figures which would fit for Orion (Optimus), D-16 (Megatron), Elita and Bumblebee. Buffalo: 76780: 702 pieces 10+ 76781: 750 pieces 10+ Buffalo has two figures, which would could also work if they only intended to adapt Orion (Optimus) and D-16 (Megatron) due to them presumably being the focus of the movie.
  14. Most likely official reveal in November as release is late November. I see no reason why they'd reveal it early considering it's releasing so far away. It's more likely that the October D2C, if Marvel, will be revealed first and get the focus. The Sanctum Sanctorum was revealed in June and released in August. If that tracks with the October D2C we might see it in September just after the Summer sets (July/August) have all released. Perhaps, though it getting more varied sets seems like testing the waters to see what the fans like. I also imagine the theme will get more activity when Superman Legacy releases as they'll probably do tie-in sets to that, which has a lot of characters they can adapt. I'm imagining Lego intends to give us at least two helicarriers. The mid-scale version with 500 designed for swooshability and display and a larger-scale helicarrier with around 3000-5000 pieces designed for display and potential minor playability. I think the October set, if a helicarrier, would occupy a middle ground of being solely focused on playability or solely on display. Mid-Scale version like 75356 Large Scale Version like 75367 Though I'm much more leaning to the October set, if Marvel, being Iron Man related. I'm really sold on the idea of it being the Malibu Mansion with a handful of suits. I think the release of a MK5 Brickheadz figure is a sign that they are going to revisit Iron Man. I think the retiring of the previous Iron Man Armory set opens up the potential and they've effectively since 2019 given us the MK1, 2, 3, 5, 6 (Battle damaged) and 7. The MK4 is only ever used in the first half of Iron Man 2 primarily in a drunken fight at the Mansion and later on display in Tony's armory at the Mansion, so if they plan to give us that suit the Mansion seems like a perfect choice. It could even be the only suit exclusive to that set if they wanted with a handful of recycled figures. I just hope it's not a Quinjet, in the style of the Milano or Benetar, it's too soon to get that and we already have a Quinjet that would kinda fill that role - though I could easily see it happening as it'd pair well with the Avengers battle set and AoU: Final Battle set.
  15. I feel like the most likely option is numbering shuffling, which I'm calling it to make it easier to describe when it happens in future :p Number shuffling being where the set title, name and pricing may be correct, but the set number changes between initial report and release - either due to the initial report being innacurate or internal decisions from Lego. JediJACPenguin for example is listing the sets as a number shuffled alternative: 76287: 'Iron Man Motorcycle ($10.99, 68pcs)' 76288: 'Iron Legion Vs Ultron Sentries ($14.99, 135pcs)' 76289: 'Surtur Battle ($24.99, 245pcs)' Compared to what the majority are relaying currently: 76287: 'Iron Legion Vs Ultron Sentries ($14.99, 135pcs)' 76288: 'Surtur Battle ($24.99, 245pcs)' 76289: 'Iron Man Motorcycle ($10.99, 68pcs)' This could be due to Jedijac mislabelling or perhaps Jedijac has their own source and knows something we don't about the set numbers, which has happened in the past. At the end of the day, if it's just a number shuffling incident then we'll still get all the sets we know about. Alternatively, if it's just the title of the set altering as opposed to the content, then it's nothing we need to panic over.
  16. That's unfortunate Glad we've got further confirmation of the Glider being included, interested how they'd handle that for the pricing. Hope it looks good. I think they are trying to respark the DC theme this year in preperation for revitalising the series alongside the Superman Legacy release in 2025. "I thought that it could come out at the end of the year in 2024 possibly, but that would be tight. There's some other group of people that are masterminding when things [release] and they're moving things on the board, and I don't know where we [What If...?] exist on that at this moment " Sounds like it probably won't release in 2024. 2025 is already packed enough as it is that I doubt Lego will be able to stretch themselves to do What If S3 tie-in sets - CMF S3 in 2025 is probably all we'd get. We have Mid-scale Helicarrier, how about a slightly larger scale Helicarrier then in 2025 an even bigger one :p
  17. Yeah, thats probably all of them, but the alterations to the helmet piece mean they'll probably aim to (or just generally due to legacy sets they are producing) will result in re-release suits they've already done in order to make the collection feel uniform. As such I'm expecting them to revisit suits that have not been updated. This would primarily be the suits with the most exposure first which would be the movie suits. They may not focus on updating the other suits, as they may feel releasing new suits will appeal more to collectors than re-doing old versions of the suits that got a low amount of screentime. Oh yeah, would indeed make more sense for the MK7 to be in the 'Avengers Battle' set, we do have the 'Mid-scale Helicarrier' coming up... maybe we'll be lucky and the MK6 will be with that.
  18. Tis fine, did not realize it had retired either. Fingers crossed they keep going with the Armory sets and Iron Man figures. Chances are we'll get the MK6 (Non-damaged) and the MK45 in the Avengers Battle and AOU: Final Battle respectively. At which point we'd have 7 primary suits that would need adapting in the new style, the MK1, MK2, MK4, MK42, MK43, MK46 and MK47. In general I'm hoping that they achieve this by the latest of 2028 because by then we'll be at the 20th anniversary of Iron Man and likely the end of Phase 6. MK1 - Iron Man 1/2/Malibu Mansion? MK2 - Iron Man 1/2/Malibu Mansion? MK3 MK4 - Iron Man 2/Malibu Mansion? MK6 Battle Damaged (MK6 non-damaged probably in 'Avengers Battle') MK7 MK25 MK42 - Iron Man 3/Malibu Mansion? MK43 - Age of Ultron Hydra set? MK45 (Probably in AoU: Final Battle) MK46 - Civil War set? MK47 - Spider-man: Homecoming set? MK50 MK85 Once completed they can do armory sets in order to release other figures or bundle Iron Man's in as promotional gifts or otherwise to fill out the line-up. A Malibu Mansion set could include MK1-7 to ensure everyone has the initial 7 Iron Man suits so they can move on to later films and versions of the suits while it'd also demonstrate a commitment to actually giving us all the suits in the new style. An Iron Man 3: Final Battle set for example could give us the MK33, MK16, MK40, MK15 which Tony used during various parts of that fight along with a Big-Fig or Brickbuilt Igor and the MK42 if we have'nt already recieved it already. No problem, glad it helps :)
  19. I think the most likely option is a buildable Sonic figure, similar to the Rocket Raccoon for Marvel, though that set was 10+ so I'm not sure why it'd be 18+ for Sonic. You joke, but I think it'd be neat getting the Egg-Mobile and a bunch of pieces so you can build different add-ons. Such as his wrecking ball, propellor, goo chamber, arms, legs, etc... can give us the ability to have a lot of the different versions of the Egg-Mobile without having to release it over and over as seperate sets.
  20. 76216 retired in December 2023. By the time we reach October 2024, when 76328 is supposed to release, it'd have been long enough for it to no longer be on shelves which I think would make it viable that the set could be the next step in the Iron Man suit collection series (As the Malibu Mansion)
  21. I think we could see a new Iron Man Armory set, perhaps even the unknown 2024 set: 76283, but I don't think it's specifically the October 76328 set due to the 1822 piece count. I'd imagine a new armory would have a low piece count but throw in tones of figures. The previous Iron Man Armory (76216) had 496 pieces and that had a bunch of side builds as opposed to just the display areas. The piece count probably means it's going to be some form of building, statue, weapon, etc... unless it's another Hulkbuster again
  22. I speculated about this prior, but now that we have the unknown D2C listing, time for some more speculation. I think the 76328: 18+ Superheroes Set (1822pcs) could be a Malibu Mansion set. You take the core concept of 42639 (2275pcs) and condense it to adapt what we see above. Aspects like the way the trees are made or the Piano can be effectively copy/pasted to this set. The only areas you'd need for the Malibu Mansion would be the lounge area with Piano, hall of armour display and the underground garage/workshop. You could include: Tony Stark (From 76216) Pepper Potts (From 76216) Happy Hogan Nick Fury (From 76216) Iron Man MK1 (from 76125 - with a new helmet piece) Iron Man MK2 (With Rhodey Head inside) Iron Man MK3 (From 76216) Iron Man MK4 Iron Man MK5 (From 76125 - with a new helmet piece) Iron Man MK6 (Probably from 'Avengers Battle' set) Iron Man MK7 (From 76248) Iron Man MK42 This would mean the only figures exclusive to the set would be Happy Hogan, Iron Man MK2, Iron Man MK4 and Iron Man MK42. Though Happy Hogan along with the MK2 and MK42 have appeared in set form prior. It'd allow you to replicate moments from Iron Man 1, Iron Man 2 and Iron Man 3 including the First Flight, Tony being invited to the Avengers, Tony Vs Rhodey, MK42 suit-up and the Hall of Armour shot. Other figures that could be included would be Black Widow, Maya Hansen, Phil Coulson, Obadiah Stane, etc... Maybe it's just me but it seems like it'd be a logical step given the recent or associated releases where repeat figures could be taken from. Honestly, probably accurate. How the character is known or not known will factor into if they can be adapted. Comparatively the general audience know who Deadpool is thanks to the success of Deadpool and Deadpool 2. Disney's pettiness is why we've not had X-Men Lego sets for over a decade because they did not want to 'advertise the competition'. This is also why Lego have been blocked from including Fantastic Four characters because Disney would not let them. I guess Fox's adaptation of Deadpool is somewhat cathartic revenge. Fox's portrayal of the character has helped to designate him as making crude sexual remarks, being violent, swearing and deriving comedy from mocking the superhero genre. All of which would be tricky for Disney to encorporate into their primarily PG-12 universe and even trickier for Lego to adapt into a figure without the potential risk of backlash from those viewing the character as inappropriate for a kids toy. Deadpool as a set or figure could still happen, but Lego would likely want to minimize the risk of backlash either by intentionally designating it as 'not for kids' such as an 18+ set OR in the form of something disconnected from the movie such as a clearly comic inspired polybag so it won't risk potentially negatively impacting the sales of a specific set. A CMF release is also possible but probably would probably be scheduled for 2025 if so. I'd be quite surprised if Deadpool is released in any other way than these.
  23. So, just summarizing: 76997: Tails Adventure Boat ($59.99, 393pcs) 76998: Knuckles and the Master Emerald ($59.99, 325pcs) 76999: Super Sonic Vs Egg Drilled ($99.99, 590pcs) 77000: 18+ (720pcs) - October I'd hope that the '77000' set is movie-inspired and potentially giving us Super Shadow, though given the 18+ I'm leaning more to this being a buildable Sonic figure in the style of Rocket Raccoon or something like that. If they accomplished that for 566 pieces they can definitely do Sonic for 720 pieces. I've seen some suggest the 'Death Egg' if so, it could be a way to get Mecha or Metal Sonic.
  24. I feel we need an updated list, as we have pieces and price counts for a majority of the sets in the second half of the year. Added July sets Added August sets Added September sets Added October sets Added November sets Updated List: At the moment my bet would be a set based on Iron Man. We're seemingly randomly getting a Brickheadz figure of the MK5 suit in July and it's weird to revisit that version of the suit unless they planned on doing something else Iron Man related - either based on Iron Man 2 or Iron Man 3 when the suit would have appeared. It's also possible that given we got a Black Panther D2C due to the popularity of the first film, we might get a Captain Marvel D2C due to the popularity of the first film. I think you could do a curved wall or perhaps focus around the Doomsday Trigger device in the middle, a circular display with that as the centre piece, kinda like the Throne set, just with the device in the centre. Though overall, I do agree with your remarks about not wanting them to force fit the round base. Perhaps they'll do a Star Wars style rectangular or square base.
