  1. Not a fan of White Vision - is a pass from me. I guess it was based on concept art given the stone and everything, concept art probably had him looking more grey like when he is in shade. Really wish we had got Ultron Vision instead, especially as White Vision may show up in future and even if he does'nt, I'm not terribly fond of that aspect anyway. Feels like the CMF so far is pretty hit and miss
  2. Perhaps, feel things might get muddle up though. Doctor Strange 2 might be in a similar position as I doubt we'll see much from that until after Spider-man:NWH releases as the two films are meant to be somewhat of a trilogy alongside WandaVision
  3. That's not really banking on it in my view, lol Doctor Strange: MoM releases in late March and that'll likely have taken over some of the hype. If they want to capitalise on Spider-man: NWH then a potential second wave of sets need to be out by start of March at the latest... otherwise we're into the hype cycle for the next batch of movies. That said, I'll still be hyped to get multiverse characters and as long as they don't mess up the returning characters in the film then I'll still be hyped to get them as figures or any potential legacy sets based off the prior movies they were in.
  4. My ranking of the CMF series so far, best to worse: Spider-man - Feels detailed but not overly detailed so would fit in with other figures - Adapts the Avengers Campus Spider-man so has an appeal beyond just What If Captain America (Sam Wilson) - Feels overly detailed and would look off when displayed or with other characters but works as a standalone figure - Not particularly a fan of the suit design and the facial expression does not fit the stoic/annoyed face that the character does, shall wait for a better costume with Captain America 4 Scarlet Witch - Design is great, but the torso colour scheme seems off. - Face/facial expression does not fit the character - Crown piece feels lazy and printing does not seem on par with prior Lego dual molded headwear Lady Loki - Fairly plain looking figure that feels like she could have shown up in a main set as opposed to CMF - Face/facial expression don't fit the character - Has potential to be redeemed via Croki White Vision - Odd choice of colours that don't really fit the version being portrayed - Character has minimal screentime also and if/when they return they will probably featured a different colour scheme Depends how the detail is done. If he makes other figures look undetailed in comparison then that's also a potential concern. Bucky is also in this series and he might not even get leg printing so it'll look odd with the two together to pose for scenes. Personally probably waiting for his redesign/update with Captain America 4.
  5. Perhaps they will learn and it would be nice for them to revisit some prior characters and sets... only issue would be that I'd constantly be waiting for the next 'better' version of the set as opposed to buying the ones based on concept art or rushed to release near the movies. No point buying a set this year if I can wait a year or two and buy the improved version, at the very least for Star Wars that is a big problem.
  6. Simpsons: Season 1 had the most iconic characters in the most iconic looks Season 2 had 10 new characters who were all less popular and the returning characters were not particularly in iconic looks TLBM: Season 1; Released a month before the movie and available the same year as the movie, 6 different Batman variants, Iconic characters with fairly iconic outfits appealing to those who had no interest in the movie Season 2; Released a year after the movie, 2 Batman variants, 2 figures that are effectively the same other than face expression, lots of less popular characters who were given little or no focus in the movie many featuring less detail The trouble with those CMF series is that they threw everything at the first wave and left little to really expand on. This is not really an issue for Marvel where they have brand new characters with brand new movies/shows to advertise them. Ideally if we get a second CMF series the appeal would be for characters from the newer shows (Spoiler tagging for potential characters)
  7. Perhaps for Hawkeye, doubt we'll get anything for Ms Marvel. Potential spoilers for figures/shows:
  8. Captain America 4 won't be until late 2023/2024 at the earliest, I'd expect him to have a new costume by then. Considering that a random Black/Gold Spider-man suit that might not be accurate to the movie got a high level of detail I don't really see why Lego won't be able to do a highly detailed Falcon Cap figure for Captain America 4 when it rolls around. It's possible. I think next year's Thor L&T would be our best bet. Though it's worth noting that 2022 does seem to be insane in terms of anniversary and Marvel stuff 20th anniversary of Spider-Man 1 10th anniversary of Avengers 10th anniversary of TASM 1 10th anniversary of Lego MCU sets 5th anniversary for Homecoming I'd expect them to go a bit nuts with sets, and that's not even taking into account that we'll presumably get: Spider-man: NWH wave 2 Doctor Strange: MoM (Guessing it will have a Wave 1 & 2 also) Thor: L&T Black Panthel: WF The Marvels A tie-in or sets/CMF related to the Disney+ shows
  9. I think the two new suits are concept art for Spider-man: No Way Home in a similar way to how they did the Quantum Suits that got altered. The build of the Sanctum basement/workshop is based off the location we see in the NWH promo images we have - the other builds like the Bug Monster or Drone thing are Lego just wanting to have action in the set. Mysterio & the Far From Home suit was probably intended anyway. Fans highly requested it and it's likely the new movie will recap the ending of Far From Home anyway so it makes sense for Mysterio anyway. I feel the Vulture set came about solely because they wanted to get the Black/Gold suit out of the way and thought of the idea of revisiting the prior movies after starting work on the Far From Home inspired set. A lot of people wanted an improved figure for Vulture and with the trailer for Morbius including him chances are they wanted to ensure they had a Vulture figure around. I don't think Lego knew anything about the new movie at the time other than concept art for the two new suits, Wong, Doctor Strange and the promo pic we had with MJ, Peter and Ned in the Sanctum Basement with a laptop... Either that or they know fully what the movie will have and have spent time working on a potential Wave 2 of sets and wanted to release this mostly spoiler-free wave this year to ensure they had something on sale when Spider-man NWH drops.
  10. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes: Avengers Classic Avengers Classic Avengers Classic Theatrical Marvel (200 + Parts, $30) Spider Man 4+ Marvel_1 2022 4+ Marvel_2 2022 4+ Marvel_3 2022 4+ Marvel_4 2022 Architecture-1-2022 It has not been debunked or confirmed. It's Lego... so yeah? I'd guess your best option would be taking some of the aspects from the previous version to try and make the cockpit a bit bigger or just smooth segments I think this is all the What If sets we will get this time, What If is getting a second season which will probably be in 2022 so perhaps? If they make sets for the game the ship does sell well enough to warrant it so perhaps.
  11. I mean, they lied for WandaVision and TF&TWS, so it'd be par for the course. They want to give the impression that creative decisions are made for the sake of improving the shows as opposed to aspects needing to be cut for time, budget, marketting, etc...
  12. Cannot be long now till the Marvel CMF series fully leaks - I say leaks as we've seen three figures now and it's unlikely Lego will reveal the series prior. Feels like an excuse from those involved. Chances are they did not want to throw people off the show by going full variants from the start - which is why the variants of Loki we see in that episode are all just him with different clothes on or otherwise. It does make sense for Throg's inclusion, though this was likely cut for other reasons. It seems to have gotten past concept art, but I doubt it was fully animated. Probably just storyboards and maybe Loki acting like he was getting beaten up in a comedic way.
  13. We had five slots and we went with Captain Carter Zombie Cap T'Challa Starlord Spider-man with a cape Gamora Thanos The Multiverse team appears to be: Captain Carter Killmonger Black Panther Gamora Thanos T'Challa Starlord Party Thor We have the ability to replicate Killmonger, but no method of replicating Party Thor due to his unique outfit. The lack of Party Thor is as such frustrating. It makes sense to pick Spider-man due to the characters popularity so I understand why he was chosen in the spot made spare by the lack of need for Killmonger. Only figure I would have liked to get is whoever they are fighting against, which I feel is probably going to be Vision/Ultron, though admittedly perhaps they have a bigger threat in mind
  14. Avengers Campus Spider-man is pretty awesome, probably the best figure from the CMF so far. I'm glad Spider-man is finally get an awesome suit in his red/blue. Wanda is still mid tier for me, design is fine but colours feel lighter than they should and the crown/helmet looks underwhelming especially compared to Lady Loki's crown/helmet piece Lady Loki is the weakest figure for me at the moment, but I'm expecting Croki to be what makes people want this figure
  15. I feel it makes the most sense given the circumstances. If Lego's focus is on figures then 4+ would be the way to go and with recently shown by the 'Spider-man Vs Mysterio Drone Attack' it can be used to deliver brand new figures or updates to figures at a varying price range. That set after all is £17.99. A wave of four £17.99 sets and one slightly more expensive set would work well. It'd be an easy way for them to get out all the villains and Spider-man variants simply and appeal to the widest range of fans as due to the lower complexity of the builds you could target them to younger fans and focus on the figures. It definitely feels like 'Wave 1' was ensuring they got all the stuff they are aware of out of the way, they gave us all three variants and all the main cast (Other than Ned and potentially Aunt May) so chances are they wanted to free themselves up for a bunch of new figures in a potential second wave. I feel 'nostalgia' would not be the main driving force, Lego could easily just market the set as a 4+ as 'Electro VS Spider-man' and simply have a Raimi or Webb suited Spider-man included as opposed to specifically calling it 'Raimi Spider-man' or 'Webb Spider-man' and people would be motivated to get it because it's a variant Spider-man suit and a villain from the new movie. Also at the time of release chances are people would have seen the new movie or hopefully promotional material (If a trailer drops ) so they won't be buying solely off nostalgia IF Tobey or Andrew show up in the film, they'll be buying off a new film and the hype surrounding that. As mentioned also, it's unlikely that IF that list is real, that the 4+ are the only Spider-man sets we are getting, I would not be surprised if all six of these are Spider-man related as we've had remarks implying that we are unlikely to get more Black Widow, Shang Chi or Eternals sets so the most logical option is the Theatrical Marvel set is Spider-man. Theatrical Marvel (200 + Parts, $30) Spider Man 4+ Marvel_1 2022 4+ Marvel_2 2022 4+ Marvel_3 2022 4+ Marvel_4 2022 Given the release of Carnage & Venom head/busts I would not be surprised if the listing simply titled 'Spider-man' is a Spider-man head/bust - I'm surprised we have not got one of those already. If Spider-man is getting Doctor Strange as a mentor, chances are that he's taught Spider-man some moves. After all, magic in the MCU is just an extension of science. Personally not a fan of the idea of him learning magic though, especially if he now has magic spiderwebs and a seemingly magic arc reactor >< -laughs in rumours-
  16. It'd make more sense to have a bunch of 4+ sets like the Mysterio, Nick Fury and Black/Red Spider-man to fill out the Spider-man NWH sets as opposed to rushing into production some large sets simply to provide us with a few villains and potentially other Spider-men. If we really are getting two other Spider-men and the remaining Sinister Six (Who may not include Vulture or Mysterio) as rumored then Lego would need to find a way to release two heroes and six villains over the course of whatever remaining sets they have. As such would be more logical to do something like this: 4+ Villain 1 & Doctor Strange 4+ Villain 2 (Electro) & TASM Spider-man 4+ Villain 3 & MCU Spider-man 4+ Villain 4 (Doc Ock) & Raimi Spider-man $30 Villain 5 & 6 with Spider-man & Ned
  17. We have names: Upgraded Suit: Red/Black suit from Far From Home, Far From Home inspired Lego set Integrated Suit: Iron Spider suit with Gold Spider, No Way Home Lego Set Gold Suit: Black & Gold Suit, seen in Homecoming Inspired Lego set Most likely scenario is that Lego was given only images of the suits, the Sanctum images we have seen as promotional art that reveal Ned & MJ and perhaps a bit of concept art showing Wong & Doctor Strange. In order to ensure fans got each of the new suits before the movie was released to capitalise on the new suits, they split the suits over three seperate sets and marketted two of them as being inspired by other movies - allowing them to include two sets with prior villains so only a singular set has a villain they potentially invented. If I had to guess, the 4+ sets could be a way of giving us more Legacy sets - as the Mysterio set is a 4+ set. These would likely be January-March releases which only really gives us Spider-man NWH & Doctor Strange MoM that they could be based on as everything else releases later or is stuff we've had remarked on would not be getting additional sets such as Black Widow, Shang Chi or Eternals.
  18. Bionicle was the only product listed with several hundred comments from those in the US about being unable to pre-order the set. Other aspects were also a factor, but the glitch did disproportionately affect the Bionicle set and it was never fixed for the Bionicle set. Some of the Lego Ideas sets were given a second chance via Bricklink.
  19. Well that was a complete and utter disaster. Castle sold out within minutes and the amount of people trying to pre-order the sets in general crashed Bricklink's servers (Something Lego and Bricklink acknowledged). Bionicle suffered massively as the pre-ordering broke almost completely for those in the US who were unable to place orders and eventually gave up, sadly trolls are trying to use it as an excuse for why Bionicle should never be brought back They need a better system in future so that sets of a similar price range are put in categories so that the cheaper sets don't immediately win and exclude more expensive sets. They also need to handle the servers a lot better. Think this entire thing has just left the community frustrated and disappointed.
  20. Loki 5 is July 7th, but releasing it here might overshadow Black Widow Black Widow is out July 9th, but similarly risks overshadowing Black Widow Loki ends July 14th so could hint towards Spider-man NWH or Doctor Strange 2 Sony's new movie comes out July 16th, so I'd lean to it being around here If none of those are when it drops then Shang Chi could be our best bet on September 3rd, or they drop it in August when nothing else is really happening to distract from Spider-man hype - and we'll be having 'What If' episodes that may explore multiverse concepts. I think the only downside will be IF we get the other Spider-men, they don't get the same level of detail shown on the Black/Gold Spider-man, would be annoying if they lack arm printing. I do feel a bit frustrated that the Red/Black suit and the newer suit lack arm printing while the Black/Gold version gets arm printing. Would have been nice to have fully printed Spider-men.
  21. A second wave definitely seems like it will happen. This wave gave us no human villains from No Way Home and we knew very early on that Electro and Doctor Octopus were involved, so they are definitely going to do something with those at minimum at a later stage. This feels like getting all the characters that can out of the way with a singular set. The fact they are willing to give us three Spider-man variants already is a good sign, I'd hope if we get the other Spider-men they'll go all out and give them arm print also, if the gold/black suited version can get it then I'd hope an Andrew/Tobey version can. If we are very lucky we'll have the ability to get Mysterio, Vulture, Electro, Doctor Octopus and possibly other villains for an MCU Sinister Six and if rumours are true then maybe the other two Spider-men also. It has potential to be the best Spider-man wave/waves in a long time. As long as we get accurate versions of Tobey, Andrew and the Sinister Six then I'm fine waiting - but I'd hope we get them by mid-2022 at the latest. Would have been really nice getting them in time for Christmas though, but early 2022 makes the most sense for a second wave - unless we're gonna be surprised by an additional set dropping in December. I think Lego might be being a little sneaky. If Mysterio & Vulture appear in NWH, this could be a way of giving us those figures without making it obvious they are from NWH. Also, with multiverse stuff, who is to say that the black/gold Spider-man won't show up in NWH also :p
  22. Lego, you beautiful maniacs, you actually did it... you spoiled No Way Home before we even saw the trailers -coughs- you mean his two new suits and the red/black suit? :P We're definitely gonna get a second wave for the No Way Home sets, at the moment the only villain is some random alien/monster. We're missing Electro & Doctor Octopus along with all the others that were hinted.
  23. I appreciate all the little details in Thor's house, but it's not for me. Meik is fine, but would have preferred him to have his mech body and/or a molded body piece. Korg needed more, his face looks off and he needed dual molded legs or something for his look from the film. Fat Thor is fine, but I'm not really wanting that version of him. Hydra Stomper looks pretty lame. Mech is pretty underwhelming Cosmic Cube is now the Creeper Head, think it looks alright in the photo's. Steve just looks normal, yet this is meant to be his skeletal appearance hence justifying him having a mech. Peggy has her shield but other than that the figures look a bit underwhelming, hopefully her CMF figure is better. Both the flag design on her chest and on her shield lack the red, either this is a variant from the show potentially explaining why we are getting two different versions OR it's due to concept art. Had so many Red Skull's in the past, would have preferred if we got another character. I guess it makes sense though I thought they would do a more varied version of his character for the show. Probably a pass on both. No Stealth Suit for Steve from Winter Soldier... but Stealth Suit for Peggy from 'What If' and a CMF figure that is probably going to be heavily detailed. Same, mostly for the villains - will be nice getting an Electro variant, was not particularly a fan of the blue variant that we had for the TASM2 polybag.
  24. Not in the slightest. I was balanced in my criticism of it and most people are fine with the general design they have done but the head piece is underwhelming compared to other things. I think the best example would be Thorin or something. Perhaps
