Marvel Superheroes 2023 - Rumors & Discussion

It means that we'll probably have a lot of desired sets in the late 2023 waves or a D2C for example. I'm still hoping for Avengers Tower given us getting the Avengers Quinjet remake. -

@Ransom Fern Is still working on their modifications of the 76210 Hulkbuster and have a photo on their story. It's looking amazing so far, so go check it out :3 Also, keep up the good work if you read this Shall try not to for you x3 The only set information I can see in our current leak season would be 76263 and 76266 which are scheduled for August, everything else we've either got descriptions for or descriptions are unlikely to occur because of the sets nature. It's possible that some of the unknown sets are intended to be released in August or prior but most sites are not even mentioning those at this time. Oh and casual updated list to add Venomized Groot to the August releases. Updated List: -

I could see the Captain Marvel 2 set being delayed, probably to October, given the recent reports had no information on the Captain Marvel 2 set and now the movie is delayed to November. I think realistically most of Phase 5 needs to be stretched out longer, giving them more time to work on it and release the associated shows. Secret Wars eventually being pushed to 2027 for the 15th anniversary of Avengers still feels the most logical option for me. In terms of specifically Lego, I must admit that I think the choices recently have left me with little to be invested in regarding new releases. The NWH set is the most appealing, but even that is lacking one of the core villains from the 3v3 fight. When this year started was expecting to see more legacy wave stuff as we opened the year with two legacy remakes, now we're just flooded with buildable figures, another bike chase and a massive buildable shield that'll probably shelf warm like the Hammer. It will be seen in other themes. -

Exchanging one wave of buildable figures for likely another wave of buildable figures? I mean, if we're getting Wolverine, Captain America and Batman there's no chance they have'nt done at least one or more Star Wars buildable figures for Summer. -

I think they intended to use the updated Thanos Big Fig from 2021 as a basis for future big figs. Our main chances are Hulk as a legacy set, Red Hulk if he appears in Captain America 4, The Thing depending on how he's depicted in Fanta5tic Four, Skaar or Hulk in Kang Dynasty/Secret Wars Personally I'd lean more to an extension of the '76185 Spider-Man at the Sanctum Workshop' You could include Lizard, Sandman minifigure and a re-use of the FFH Spider-man suit, maybe throw in Doctor Strange repeat figure again so people could play out the fight between FFH suit Spider-man and Doctor Strange. -

I like buildable figures, I think they have a huge level of potential if they have enough investment to grow and adapt. I understand why they did one for Ant-Man - but a Modok build with Ant-Man, Wasp and Kang seemed like the most logical option and it makes no sense why Lego would'nt have thought the same. -

Probably intended to represent all three sizes of Ant-Man. Micro for small, Buildable figure in a group of other buildable figures would be normal scale, buildable figure next to minifigures would be Giant Man :p Chances are we'll get three more also, given set numbering, pricing and box size of some of the June sets. -

It seemed very early prototype stages, so chances are if it released it'd be late 2024, probably close to Deadpool 3. If Lego wanted they could do a comic Deadpool polybag with purchases of a certain amount or purchases of the X-Men Mansion. So if a Blackbird set did occur it'd probably be Summer 2025 -

Could also be comic inspired in a general sense, similar to the Daily Bugle. Promobricks generally would want to ensure legitimacy and confirmation before posting any information. Last year it was the 24th February for Marvel info. I doubt we'd get it much sooner than that. So in general set your calendars for roughly end of February for Summer info :p I've heard rumours of some aspects and I think some most people including myself have expected one of these to happen since the introduction of the concept last year, however obviously just rumours and not much to go off at this time so no point speculating over it I think that's the rumour, yes. Though seen some refer to it as 1982 Batman, so potentially some confusion - I don't particularly follow DC stuff outside of just putting them on the list to ensure people don't mix them with the Marvel sets :P -

If it was still a rumored March release then I'd think perhaps it'd be time for a reveal, but with the more recent rumor being May I don't think it makes much sense revealing it now and not having it available till May. He hoped the original rumour was true, but wanted to mess around while also setting an example by claiming to have information to leakers. It's similar to last year where someone did the same thing as you mentioned. No matter whether they want to teach a lesson or not, it's manipulative and creates distrusting of everyone as opposed to natural skepticism. Natural fake leaks/rumors at least provide discussion and if they were mistaken or otherwise nobody necessarily feels conned or insulted and usually by the time the community realize they are fake the original source has apologised or is the one providing an updated accurate source or the community has moved onto the next thing. Someone intentionally making a fake leak or rumour, letting people discuss and hype, just to then tell everyone they made it to criticize the community is just a method of people pretending they are smarter than others for realizing that leaking requires trust. This was also not a prominant issue until Jay & others intentionally contributed to it, Ryan now latching onto others rumours as a platform for his 'example'. Whether well intentioned or not, I think it harms the community more to do such things. -

A user, Ryan_k_66 on Instagram has admitted in their story (16 hours ago at this point) that they messaged leakers claiming that the rumours were attached to set 76262, a set which we already knew about. As such there is NO validity to the rumour being tied to that set. This is exactly the scenario I referred to several pages ago and why we should'nt take rumours as being any more legitimate simply because a pre-existing number/set is attached to them or they are associated with something that was revealed. Spider-man: NWH, TLDR: - Promobricks believes at least one NWH set is coming - Release date for such a set/sets would probably be August - Instagram users are intentionally lying to leakers to mislead them, hence why they all listed the recent rumour as 76262 - We have nothing on what that set/sets is, what they contain, etc... Conceptually the idea of three sets has potential, but Lego generally wants to encourage people to get the other sets with the figure selection. Giving someone Tobey and Andrew in presumably cheaper sets with the primary villains they face in figure form would be unlikely to encourage fans of solely Tobey or solely Andrew to pick up the other sets. I also don't think it's realistic that they'd split the statue into pieces rather than focus on iconic locations or scenes. As such the most logical option would be a three set split looking like the following: Three Figures 'Highway Battle': Iron Spider (Repeat), Doctor Strange (Repeat) & Doc Ock Three Figures 'Forest Fight': Inside Out Suit Spider-man (Repeat), Electro & Sandman (Minifigure) Seven Figures 'Statue Showdown': Integrated Spider-man (Repeat), Tobey Spider-man, Andrew Spider-man, MJ (Repeat), Ned, Lizard, Green Goblin, Sandman (Brick-built) Total repeat figures: 5 (Iron Spider Tom, Inside Out Tom, Integrated Tom, Doctor Strange, MJ) Total new figures: 8 (Tobey, Andrew, Goblin, Ock, Electro, Sandman, Lizard, Ned) I don't think they'd bother doing two variants of Electro and he was naked during that scene, so instead it'd be an 'inspired by NWH' set in which Electro is in his final battle outfit in the forest. Ned would probably have the same head and hair as this figure, while swapping the torso and potentially legs. They'd need at least three villains in any adaptation of the final battle and time was taken during the final battle to see Tobey Vs Sandman, Andrew Vs Lizard and Tom Vs Goblin. -

I don't think they'd miss Lizard if they did a final battle set, he's like the main focus of that 3v3 fight. Sandman, Electro and Lizard. Oh and they seem to be claiming it is 76262 which we've had details on prior. Personally I cannot see a 3128 piece set featuring 9 figures (at least 5 unique figures) selling for $199.99, that seems really low considering how Lego has been with pricing lately. For comparison, Sanctum was 2708 pieces with 9 figures (of which 8 are technically unique) for $249.99. -

I feel like this is just people latching onto the concept after Promobricks heavily implied at least one set was coming. They likely don't agree on the specific details but will repost anyway for the concept/potential of a final battle set. Sandman I definitely expect would be included as a brick-built figure, e.g. something akin to 76037 where we get his hands or face built into the structure not a full brick-built Sandman figure. Sandman would probably be a way of including a gimmick/feature into the set, such as falling scaffolding or a sand hand. Chances are for Lizard they'd probably tackle him with the long legs, arms and tail from the Avatar sets and just have a normal head ontop. This is probably the closest scale they can do and it'd just require some recoloring of the pieces - a big fig is extremely unlikely. Until we see Hulk again, I think they've taken a pause on big figs probably because of cost reasons. -

In terms of the 'old bs' I think perhaps gimmicks such as the jumper (which would probably be used for a NWH set) and/or the return of the buildable figures. In the olden times of 2012 we had Hulk and Captain America. Given we have Iron Man already, perhaps we'll get Captain America, Thor and Hulk as 76257, 76258 and 76259. Either way, hopefully we get something soon thats more concrete to discuss. To be fair, we don't have much else to discuss at this point. We know roughly everything till May and the films releasing probably won't offer much to speculate on regarding figure selections, set designs, etc... At least with NWH we have the question of how they'll adapt the final battle I feel the rumour is a lie honestly. I think we are getting a NWH set/sets, but I don't think it'd be as described. The missing figures from that rumour are Sandman and Lizard. Sandman could be Brick-built and not mentioned, but considering the main moment from the trailers was the 1 (3) vs 3 of Spider-man Vs Electro, Sandman and Lizard and given the delay I don't think they'd skip Lizard and I can't picture him being the focus of a smaller set as you don't have many scenes of him to draw from. If anything I think it'd be Spider-man (x3), Doctor Strange, Ned, MJ, Green Goblin, Electro, Lizard and a brick-built Sandman. That's 9 figures and one brick-built. Tobey VS Sandman, Andrew Vs Electro, Tom Vs Goblin, Doctor Strange just making portals and Ned/MJ running from Lizard. A secondary set featuring Iron Spider and Ock, potentially with a variant of the Green Goblin but realistically they could sell a smaller set with just Iron Spider and Ock. -

The phrasing is complicated and it would definitely help if people can enquire to get confirmation from them, some seem are taking it as confirmation. I'm not entirely sure it is, but the winking teasing face has me intrigued. I think August is the most viable time for a NWH set given the phrasing of waiting "one and a half years". In terms of options for potential NWH sets we have: 76261: $99.99 (10+, 900 pcs) - August 76262: $199.99 (18+, 3128pcs) - August 76263: ? (4+, 66 pcs) - August 76264: $24.99 (4+ 54 pieces) - August 76265: $34.99 (8+ 357 pieces) - August 76266: $99.99 - August 76246: - Unknown 76249: - Unknown 76252: - Unknown Personally I could easily see a wave comprised of 76264, 76265 and 76266. I think it'd be unlikely that Lego would have a singular set featuring all three Spider-man, Goblin, Ock, Electro, Lizard and a brick-built Sandman so a wave makes more sense to me. A wave could also include supporting characters that we did not get in the previously 'NWH' sets such as Aunt May, Ned, etc... Chances are they'd do three sets as they could re-release the Iron Spider (Vs Doc Ock), Black Inside-out Suit (Vs Electro & Sandman) and the Final Battle Suit Obviously, this is unless the The Incredible Spider-man Art set winds up being NWH inspired and includes figures Would likely be a variation of that, keeping the Comic Con version as an exclusive but providing something similar. An example could be differences like the Avengers Tower Tony Stark Vs the Hulkbuster Tony Stark - both are effectively a similar concept of a partially suited-up Tony where his chest and arm are in the suit. -

It's possible that some of these are concepts alone, a method of judging interest. The survey was apparently a question on how much people would be willing to pay, could mean that many of these are in varying stages of production with the X-Men Mansion looking the least finished. A lot of these they may have no intention of becoming actual sets, they could have seen the interest in an X-Men Mansion set and been considering it and used this method as a test platform to see if people would buy it using a quick mock-up of how the front of it would look and what figures they'd probably include. Even if they started mass flagging places sharing the images it'd make no difference, the images have been in circulation enough for those curious to have found them and likely saved them, instead the reaction to a majority of these has been really positive such as with the Burrow, Simba, Snow White Cottage and Maleficent. In the occasion where the reaction was less than positive it's given them a hint towards how to change and alter things. -

Maybe I'm the odd one out, but I'm good on figures. I have pretty much all the Infinity Saga characters and variants I'd want to display in most Earth-based buildings either produced by Lego or from others, the figures are not a priority unless they are amazing. At this stage I kinda just want iconic structures from the series that look great externally and has some minifigure scale rooms for displaying or storing figures in.
