  1. It seems that two of the orc have more femalelike torso's :D. It is just the shaping of the straps and plates, but their waist seems a bit cinched. Anyways, very glad to finally have some extra variation.
  2. Pippin got a belt for his sword sheath, so it depends on the scene. Logically in Rivendell he does not wear his sword, but the original Pippin came in the Moriaset, and there he has his sword. In the movie I think he wears it when leaving Rivendell (but the buckle is hidden behind his jacket) and you can see the belt (buckle again hidden) clearly when he is crying after Gandalf fell in Moria. It could be that he got the belt with buckle in Lothlorien, but I don't think so. In some promo images you can see Pippin clearly wears a belt with buckle and those images are from scenes before Lothlorien.
  3. No sorry, it does not fit. The braid in the back is in its way.
  4. I love the build, it is absolutely stunning, but not a fan of the minifigures. The old ones captured the look of the actors better, I think and most of the hobbittorso's were more detailed. But all the legs and skirts are definitely an upgrade. A bit on the fence on Gimli's beard (not just de colour, but also the length). Btw Gimli's helmet seems a new mold.
  5. I think the left part is an upside down version of the right part. So the beveled 1x1's create the grooves.
  6. I thought the legs of the horntail were to big and i made Hagrid's hut complete. horntail by Gregory Dugaucquier, on Flickr hagridshut by Gregory Dugaucquier, on Flickr
  7. It is really beautiful. Waw!
  8. I cut off one part of a chain and glued that part into the spiked ball. On the other end I put a bar. It looks perfect.
  9. I so wish that LEGO made a real Witch King, but for now, this will have to do. It took me a long time to make, but I almost like the result, perhaps I should sharpen the details? They got rounded off when painting.
  10. Nice. What part did you use for the reins?
  11. The beard was a mix of red (34) and matt yellow (12). I will post the picture of the pony as soon as possible.
  12. Oh I use a lot of aceton to melt and work the LEGO-parts into each other. If I have useless or broken bricks I dissolve them into a bit of aceton and then i use this to 'sculpt' some extra detail. The paint I use is Revell Email Color. It is normally used to paint little soldiers and things like that, but most of the colors come very close to the LEGO-colors. I hope this helps?
  13. Thanks samiamuc. I never intended to sell them; i just missed some figures and parts so i made them. I love to take pictures of Lego Lord of the Rings/Hobbit-scenes. Thror was really difficult to make, but Bill the pony is easy. Just saw the legs with a small saw and glue them back together. Remove the part in the middle (where you normally put a saddle) and glue those two parts together. Finish by putting some studs on the back. Beorn Bear I made by just cutting some parts of the Beor-hairpiece and then I glued them on a normal bear. Hope this helps.
  14. It was a Kickstarterproject: the Micro3d. It was affordable :)
  15. So I finally got my own 3d-printer and made my own helmet for Gondor. I tried Pippin first. I still have problems to print the decals in high resolution, so any tips are welcome. (the one you see in the picture is photoshoped, but I made it, based on the game). Ways to improve are very welcome.
  16. After your comments I tried something different. What do yo think?
  17. Thanks for the tip, General Magma.
  18. I don't like Gandalfs hair. When I was looking at the Hobbit, It seemed that Gandalfs wig resembles Thorins hair alot. So i painted the piece gray. But I'm stil not sure. Any idea's? The hat with the hair was another experiment.
  19. Yes and no. I printed (3D) a sword and that was meant to be Orcrist. I liked it and i printed it again, made it smaller and decided to use it for Thranduil.
  20. My version of Dain. The part around his mouth is a bit paler than on the picture.
  21. Great hammer. I like your boar. I loved the idea of the boar when I first heard it, but when I saw it in the movie I hated it. It was just a big version of Peter Jacksons pig (the one that is eating the athels in DOS) and it looks nothing like a big wild boar.
  22. I like the idea of the topic, but it is kind of the same as I created some weeks ago. Ain't it better to post everything in one place? http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=103054
  23. I was thinking we needed a bill the poney
