  1. Yub yub! That's it, AT-ST pilot's helmets indeed!
  2. Has anyone started a similar project for the UCS Imperial Star Destroyer? I've already started my BL wanted list, but the total price will be too much for my wallet... I think it will take a year or two to get all the parts, even if I change some specific colors to cheaper ones.
  3. Thank you all for the comments! The Sandtrooper helmets were chosen preciselly for the battered and dirty look. It's missing a black TIE pilot helmet, at least in the movie there seems to be one of those, but again, I didn't have one available with me. Oh, and for those who might not recognize the scene, this is what we're talking about:
  4. C3-PO with funky eyes por Guilherme Fadista, no Flickr My C3-PO has got this funky eyes. Anyone else has got one like this?
  5. Ewok celebration por Guilherme Fadista, no Flickr Just a small scene depicting the ewok drumming on the fallen stormtroopers' helmets, perhaps my favorite detail from the Endor celebration scene on ROTJ. The tree should be much bigger, but these were all the leaf parts I have on me for now. EDIT: Added reference video from the RotJ movie:
  6. Thank you all for the comments! I'd actually prefer the cleaner white/dark red for Republic colours, but given the parts available, bleys/DK red have done the job I'll be preparing some more one-set-MOC soon with the few sets I've got here with me, so stay tuned!
  7. This is my first MOC in quite a long time. It is a one-set-MOC based on 9488 Clone Trooper & Commando Droid Battle Pack. Inicially, I started messing around with the parts with the idea of building some sort of AT-RT walker. I was decided to use only elements from this set, but soon I saw myself too limited for what I wanted to create. Meanwhile, I got this: Republic one man light vehicle, made for scouting. Armed with only one frontal laser, it's main advantage is it's velocity and being invisible to enemy radars. Sideways, showing the greebles, engine, landing gear and weapon. Back view with the main enging, auxiliary engines - which would ideally have some 1x1 trans-blue round plates to give that energy feeling, but I have none around here - and the camouflage system in the middle. The cockpit opens like this, allowing the pilot to enter and exit, as well as vehicle maintenance. I challenge anyone with this set to create your own one-set-MOC too! :D
  8. I'm not really sure about the sets containting mixed grays, but as long as it is complete, it's ok by me. How much would you sell the sets for?
  9. My favourite and biggest Lego set I've ever got is the UCS Imperial Shuttle. Such an impressive piece of work, and an amazing building experience. My top list also includes the 7676 LAAT, 10195 Dropship, the 10178 walking AT-AT, 8017 Vader's TIE, 8038 Battle of Endor, Clone Turbo Tank, Republic Attack Shuttle, Palpatine's Shuttle... Most of these for the build itself, and then for the aesthetics and the minifigs.
  10. Hello everyone! I'm looking for these sets to add to my collection. Used sets are OK, especially given that I would prefer to avoid the actual MISB prices on BL. I'm only interested in the actual parts and instructions, so as long as the set is complete, I'm in. I would also prefer to buy it from a European seller, but if you live somewhere else we can arrange things as well. 10134 Y-wing Attack Starfighter 10174 Imperial AT-ST 10175 Vader's TIE Advanced If you have any of these, or know someone who wants to get rid of it, please PM me
  11. The original model looks like an ugly made from an AT-TE, AT-TE and AT-AP, but it still looks nice :)
  12. I have a few MISB sets like Battle of Endor and the Death Star, plus chrome stormies and Vaders, that I plan to resell or trade for in a few years. I might end up opening them tho.
  13. Just received an used Imperial Inspection, including the ship itself and most minifigs: stormies, Vader and Royal Guards. The seller threw in two Wookiee Warriors to make up for the missing figs. Best part? Only 30€ Also snatched two Battle of Endor for about half the price each, to keep MISB.
  14. Nevermind, just noticed I don't have 200 posts yet -.-
  15. Tack CopMike! The prize sure seems enticing! There were a lot of great and funny MOCs Hope I'll get lucky
  16. I remember getting a bunch of Star Wars sets on my 10th birthday in 1999, including: I was so thrilled back then, because I grew up loving both Lego and Star Wars, and since I lived in a small town with little access to big shopping centers, I had no idea it existed at all until my parents and my cousins spoiled me with all those sets.
  17. After a long year with almost no Lego, I managed to get throughout October and November: Mace Windu's Jedi Starfighter Naboo Starfighter T-6 Jedi Shuttle Darth Maul's Sith Infiltrator Anakin Skywalker and Sebulba's Podracers The Battle of Naboo x2 I also ordered an Imperial Shuttle some time ago but I still haven't received it.
  18. TIE X.mas Advanced sled, pulled by two TaunTauns over the mistletoe.
  19. I really like this MOC, I voted for it and I think it was a well-earned victory. The design and playability are well balanced like a TLG set would be. I mean no disrespect for other entries of the contest, but some of them were just too fancy for a real TLG set, with the SNOT bases and overwhelming details and techniques. Congratulations on your work
  20. Ancient Rites - Victory or Valhalla!
  21. Excelent vignettes! I studied archaeology in the university before I decided to go for another career as a cook, so I can say those are pretty realistic
  22. 13/ Attack on the Nile by Yatkuu - 4 points, for both design and playability. I think it's important that in this competition MOCs need to be playable and without fancy techniques, to follow the line of TLG and to be kid-friendly. 38/ Colosseum of Atlantis by Brick_Tom - 3 points; same as above, plus it shows compatibility with the rest of the Atlantis sets.
  23. Deliciously simple and funny MOC!
  24. AOE is my favourite game series ever, along with Diablo I prefer AOE II and even the first, because I am deeply fond of pre-history, antiquity, classical and medieval times. AOE III looks great, the mechanics are good, and I especially like the Asian Dynasties expansion and civilizations; but my computer is too weak to support the game and is really slow when we have ships or too many people fighting at once. My favourite civilizations would be the Japanese, English and Spanish. Although I'm portuguese, the in-game portuguese civilization does not appeal me, although I love the organ gun in action their accent is kinda funny too. There is a MOD for the game which allows us to play with most european civilizations in european territory, but I haven't tried it. I think I would prefer that instead of New World maps. Africa should be included too, as it was a highly disputed territory in the past.
