That's an interesting view. You focused mostly on political aspects; what do you think about civil life? This is merely speculative, of course, but how do you imagine everyday's life in that case-scenario?

After some months without MOCing, here is the first of several projects I am working on; and my first MOC here on EB. Built with parts from 8017 and 8014, based off Wookieepedia, it's only 99% ready. I still have to get different plates for the wings, improve the back of the ship and add some more details. Side view with the greebbled wing Back view, those dark red tiles will be substituted when I have the right parts to finish it. From above: those light bley slopes on the wing connection will be substituted by dark bley; the top of the cockpit will also be modified and more detailed. And here is the real one: C&C welcomed :)

I'm a sucker for franco-belgian classics: Tintin, Asterix, Spirou. I don't really like manga nor most american comics (X-man, Superman, Spiderman, all those guys), but I love Calvin&Hobbes. I also have a big Disney collection, mostly from 80s-90s. The oldest I have dates from 1978, brazilian edition. I remember owning several Star Wars comics, but nowadays they are gone, unfortunately

The BARC speeder looks chubby and blocky, but I like it - I can always mod it. Not so fond of the orange squad tho. The mandos look nice, although I don't like the blue turret.

I don't know about that... the orange visor allows us to see the minifig's face, while a black one would look like sunglasses or something. Do we already have any kind of printed black visors on any minifig? I can only remember the first Scout Troopers or General Veers.

Such a lovely thread I'm an ex-Archaeology student, so I greatly enjoy History debates. As for your question, it would surely change the course of history. However, Europe always had a lot of Eastern influence, although the most eurocentrics claim the opposite. From Pre-History to modern era, our culture, science and economy has always been linked to Asia and Africa. So even though the Persians didn't conquer Greece, their legacy influenced the Greeks. Here in Portugal many people ask the same about some key battles won against the Muslims. Would the Christians still recover their territory in the Reconquista or would Iberia be speaking arab nowadays? Same can be said about Poitiers, Lepanto, most WW1/2 battles... It would be fun to have some kind of time machine so that we could see what would have happened if History took a twist

As a kid, these were among my favourite sets. I remember owning most of the line, aside from one or two. I sold all my islander minifigs some months ago tho

Now that you mention it, I'm trying to decided whether I prefer 2010 or 2011 Winter sets... this year was pretty good, but some of the 2011 sets look very promising to me. Same for minifigs, we got some really nice ones this year, and next year's batch seem great too.
