  1. Thanks for your comment and suggestion! I can't really take a new picture because this was built in 2009 and now lies in spare parts for quite a while. I don't know how to manipulate pictures using editing programs on the computer either
  2. Another vignette made for the 0937 Community Project of Army Men vignettes, this one shows two soldiers stranded in the desert. I decided to build this one with the desert theme because I just love the PoP camels and I wanted to use it in some MOC.
  3. For the 0937 Community Project of Army Men vignettes, I made this scene in tribute to an older vignette and shows two soldiers playing baseball with snowballs.
  4. "Man down!" "Rebel scum! Eat snow!" I made this simple vignette back in September 2009, representing a kid-friendly version of the Battle of Hoth. It was also pictured on VignetteBricks
  5. I love the jewels in the back!
  6. Here is my Republic Army, 80 minifigs total. I must take some time to take a picture of the rest of the minifigs, both CIS, Rebel and Imperial, plus their vehicles. My total number of SW minifigs should be around 300, not really sure right now. Edit: here is the total of minifigs in that picture, plus the astromech droids: Clone trooper – 39 Clone pilot – 4 Clone pilot phase II – 3 Clone gunner – 8 Clone jet trooper – 4 Shock troopers phase II – 2 Scout troopers phase 2 – 3 Senate commando – 2 Rex Jag Cody Fox Yoda Obi Wan Obi Wan ep. I Mace Windu Kit Fisto Anakin Anakin CW parka Aayla Secura Bariss Offee Nahdar Veb Plo Koon
  7. The scenery looks really good, but it lacks minifigs. Try to add more action with a whole load of clones and droids, maybe even jedi.
  8. I love it, as said before, simple but very detailed and clean! Are you thinking of expanding the scene?
  9. Just got this beauty as a late xmas gift from myself to myself got it for 59€ from Amazon UK. It has been a long time since I've built anything aside from Star Wars, it felt good to build a building instead of a spaceship. Took me an hour or so to complete the whole thing. The numbered bags help a lot, but at the same time it makes me feel like I'm building several smaller sets... so I dump all the parts on the same pile so I can have that "looking for the X part" rush The minifigs are simply awesome, I especially like Nizan and the camel. The soldiers look great with the dark red The play features are also nice, even though not for me. The small ballista could use real flick missiles (but only if they worked well...) as these simply fall, although they can fly away for quite a distance if you flick them the right way. The catapults work pretty well, and the barrels dropping the oil is very reminiscent of the film. I'm not so fond of both wall features. The moving stairs look silly from the outside, and the falling wall is just annoying in case it's not snugly fit into the main wall. All the studs on the walls are nice to have Dastan exercising his parkour skills. The small trap to hold the dagger could be better conceived, with some sort of mechanism. This set is also a gold mine for new parts and the new caramel colour. I was a bit disappointed with the big white collunms, as I thought it would be built out of regular 2x2 round bricks. The palace can be easily extended with another similar set, due to the modularity of the walls. I do not like open fortresses like this or the latests castles edited in the Castle theme, but I understand that it may be more appealing for kids to play. Overall, I really like this set, especially since I paid a lower price for it. Inspired me to build some Arabic MOC, which is a culture I've always been fascinated for.
  10. I'm not in Finland anymore since September, but I remember a toy store in one of the main shoppings in Rovaniemi with a big selection of Lego and they had -25%/-50% promotions every now and then. I can't remember the exact name of the store, but FOLs from up there should know what I'm talking about.
  11. The second wave seems much better than the first one. However, I'm more interested in the minifigs than on the sets themselves. My list resumes itself to the new clone BP, from which I will dispose of the orange guys via BL; two V-Wings; one or two droid carriers; Mace JSF and Geonosis set; and only the minifigs from the T6 and the Gunship. As for the Summer wave, my interests go to the Ewok Attack, Dathomir Speeder, Geonosian SF and the Frigate. The rest will be only for the minifigs. The podracers do look nice tho.
  12. Hi, sorry for the delay but I've been away from EB and I haven't noticed your answer on this thread. I'm not interested in snowies or AT-AT drivers, only regular clones or stormies. I've already sold most of my rocket battle droids, I only have one, plus one commander.
  13. Here are some pics taken by 0937 members Some members of my LUG are present at the event, and judging by the pictures, it seems amazing!
  14. Just woke up to the whole Equilibrium discography
  15. First post edited.
  16. This is a great review! I got the set last week and overall was happy about it. I may note, as it was said, that the lightsaber thingy actually works around here, just press the tile with a flick and it will fly away! And for those who missed the Tauntaun, now you have the chance to get it with the 3-in-1 Superpack.
  17. I'm going to a party and my friend wants to dress me up either as a zombie pirate, or as a mad scientist. Let's see what costume will I get
  18. Is it me or the pilot looks like the TIE Defender pilot? I prefered the fleshie face with the orange visor and the black clone pilot style helmet
  19. Luminara the artillery looks ugly as hell, and no geonosians on the set... Let's wait and see the price
  20. Found out this weekend about Huoratron. This is the craziest thing I've ever heard, but at the same time it's catchy
  21. Just received 8089 Wampa Cave, along with the book Dark Lord: Rise of Darth Vader; got it in less than a week trying out the newest free shipping from Amazon UK to Portugal
  22. This is me with my WIP Clone Wars display, on my LUG exhibition at a small shopping centre last weekend.
  23. Big, horny, hairy Banthas
  24. The best portuguese store is Martin's Store - great prices, great variety and both father and son are very nice persons. If you seek some set that isn't on their BL, message them as they might have it. http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=superbelem
