  1. I'd like to add a request to see the original Avengers Captain America with those same legs.
  2. I don't know about the head, but I'd suggest using this hair if it came in the right color, but it doesn't. The next suggestion I can think of is this hair, but that's not quite right either, even though it comes in the right color. I thought she always had shoulder length hair, but on googling her I discovered that's not always the case, so I'm not sure what to suggest. a piece with bangs might look better on her than one without them, though.
  3. Unless you want to go more complicated, all that takes is switching the outer panels of the front and back sides, so it looks like it's the front that's opening instead of the back. I'm contemplating doing that to mine.
  4. I thought I was missing those 2x2 plates as well, but then I realized that I put them under the tardis console, instead of using the light tan plates that it actually called for. Once I switched those back, no other problems.
  5. Thanks, guys. I can't actually take credit for the petri dish idea, because that was suggested to me a few pages earlier in this same thread. I think every other idea was mine, though. I really like the robot arm I came up with, which was a very last minute inspiration. For the brain, I was gonna use one of the alien brains, but I wanted something more human-looking, and the print on that piece worked perfectly. I hope I inspired some of you to make similar, or even completely different, additional accessory choices.
  6. I wanted to share my additions and changes to the BBT cast minifigures, so others can benefit from my discoveries, designs, and choices. The Big Bang Theory Cast (+1) by Silent Nomad, on Flickr The two that might be hardest to see are the piece Howard's holding (an ace from the Jester collectible minifigure), and the piece Bernadette's holding (an upside-down transparent round tile, meant to be a petri dish). Any other questions, feel free to ask.
  7. is where I found how to do it. I have yet to try it, though.
  8. How I'm planning on getting the first Hulk minifigure is I'll get the keychain from a Lego store, then take out the keychain top part, then put a a regular Harry Potter hairpiece on him (not the one originally on the figure), so no one will be able to tell that he's not the polybag figure. I didn't have any interest in that figure until this current one was released, and I realized that I have two empty spaces in my AoU/Ant-Man display case. As far as this current figure goes, I hope I can find him soon.
  9. I'm glad that I wasn't the only one to think of Megamind when I saw that. Very cool.
  10. I make alterations to minifigures sometimes, but a lot of the time, I simply find myself adding accessories that the characters didn't originally have in their sets. I've tried mentioning them in topics aimed at general minifigure customization, but I've gotten little to no response there, so I thought I'd make a place dedicated to that idea. Below are some examples of my own accessory additions, or images that inspired me to alter the accessories. When I saw the Green Lantern lantern that Sheldon is holding in the image below, I thought that it was much closer to the scale of minifigures than the one offered in the Green Lantern set, itself. I also became curious if I could make that same design in any other colors with existing pieces, so I looked up the four pieces used to make it, and I discovered that I could also make red, blue, yellow, black, and white lanterns. My Hal Jordan now has a much smaller personal lantern battery, and I made one in yellow for my Sinestro as well. I also gave Hal and Sinestro translucent studs on their hands in their respective colors to represent glowing rings. When I saw the Teen Titans Robin from the Jokerland set, and I saw what they gave him for his bo staff (a black lightsaber blade), I was unsatisfied with both the length and color. I wondered if the old longer rod with narrower stop came in the newer version of grey, and I found it, so I'm using that now, and it works perfectly. I don't like the ADU guns used for the Super Heroes themes whenever a non-space-based minifigure needs a gun, and I liked the old black guns used in the Indiana Jones theme, so I was very excited when Lego brought them back for use with Sabine from Rebels, so I bought a bunch of those from B&P and I use them with my Avengers Black Widow, my USM Nick Fury, and I'll give one to any normal human character in the future to whom Lego gives an ADU gun. Speaking of Black Widow and ADU guns, that's what they give her in the Age of Ultron sets, though her shock sticks are arguably more iconic to that movie, so I wonder why they didn't give her those. I got the idea to give her trans light blue lightsaber blades for them, because that's the color normally used to represent electricity, and then I see this image on the Marvel Super Heroes minisite, which shows that piece used for that purpose. That made me more confident about that choice. The Winter Soldier minifigure doesn't come with any weapons in his package, but I wanted him to have a sniper rifle of some sort, so I gave him a blaster rifle that's used in Star Wars sets. None of the Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade sets have the Holy Grail, which is what they're hunting in that movie, so I gave my Indiana Jones minifigure a gold goblet piece for that, along with the other two small pieces I gave him to represent the other movies in the trilogy (I gave a crystal skull piece to my Mutt Williams minifigure, if anyone's curious). I'd love to see what other ideas anyone else came up with. Please share, but focus on the accessories here. There are other places to post the minifigures, themselves.
  11. I was curious earlier about what Scarlet Witch's hair looks like on action figures of her, so I looked it up and found one by Hasbro that essentially has the exact same hair as the mermaid hairpiece that people replace her original hair with. I thought that was cool, so I wanted to share. I'd post a picture here, but I'm having trouble finding a good picture that's small enough.I also just now found this image on the Marvel minisite, which confirms my suspicions that they're using light blue lightsaber blades as Black Widow's stun stick things in the Lego Avengers video game. I assumed they would, and I had the same idea for myself, so I bought a couple off of bricklink for use when I get that figure, which will most likely happen in the beginning of next month. I like getting inspirations for weapons from video games like that, except that my inspiration came before seeing the image this time, which might be even better.
  12. I haven't been able to find the current Star Wars Episode I 16x20 poster on Bricklink, and I've only found one for a pretty expensive price on Ebay, so I thought I'd ask here if anyone has it and is willing to sell me one. I need it to continue/complete my collection of them. Edit: I just realized this is in the wrong place. Can an admin please move it to the regular BST forum? Sorry about that. Edit 2: Search resolved. This can be closed now. Sorry about my placement mistake.
  13. That's really cool. I didn't catch the layered capes at first, since they're so close in color, but that's cool too. I thought the differently colored underside in the animations was just supposed to be a shadow, not a specifically different color.
  14. It looks better than what he has by default, That hairpiece us much too thick for him. Also, This is my 100th post, so that's exciting.
  15. I already have the hairpiece he suggested (on page 11), and I already have it reserved for that purpose. I'm also planning on using Leonard's original hair on Sheldon. I just don't think Penny's and Howard's hairs are quite right.
  16. Has anyone tried using Aquaman's hair in dark brown for Howard, to give him a more fitting style? The only other option I can think of is Ron Weasley's bowl cut in dark brown, but I'm not sure that'd look right. I'm also puzzling over a better style for Penny.
  17. I'm not really clear on why that's a good choice.
  18. I recently saw the latest Lego DC Superheroes movie, and I noticed that they made Sinestro's hands the same color as his head, which I've seen a few people say should have been done in the first place. I'm thinking of changing that on my own figure, since hands exist in that color (on the CMF lady robot), as well as putting a transparent yellow stud on one of his hands (and a trans green one on one of Hal's hands) to simulate the glow of his ring. Also, I noticed that Robin, Beast Boy, and Starfire are based on Teen Titans Go, and not the original Teen Titans cartoon, as I originally thought. The only difference between the two is Starfire's hair color, which is dark red in TT, but pink in TTG, as well as on the minifigure. The original hair choice for that minifigure is poor, and I wanted to change her to the TT version anyway, so I gave her this hairpiece. It's not a perfect match (nothing would be), but I liked it best because it's long, the end flares out to both sides (as her's does in the cartoon), and it has two pieces in the front that hang down on both sides, as her hair does in the cartoon. Any thoughts on either idea?
  19. I think he was Aquaman.
  20. I suggested that a few pages back. I'm glad to see it looks just as good as I pictured it.
  21. As shown in , it doesn't. That'd be cool, though. They probably thought having the S.H.I.E.L.D. logo on his chest was enough.
  22. The monkey is still a memorable thing associated with Amy.
  23. The possibility of giving Amy a monkey was just suggested to me. I think it's a great idea.
  24. I wish Lego made even a small harp. That'd work for my minifigure display plans.
  25. That's what I was thinking too, I just wanted to make sure that's what was in the guy's mind who originally suggested it.
