  1. So the results are in, guess what photo won! ... I literally have no words for this.
  2. Thanks for the comments! It definitely took some time to incorporate all the details. Seeing as it's fig-sized, i had to search for a lot of parts to build all the small furniture. Now we'll just have to wait until Monday when they'll announce the winner! Fingers crossed :)
  3. Holy fu- That is awesome! Although i feel like that's mostly because of the gigantic scale, the build itself kind of repetitive but it looks stunning though.
  4. MOC - #legoselfie by WoutStopmotion, on Flickr I found out that Dutch webstore Fonq is hosting a Lego contest, the prize being about 600 bucks worth of sets. The theme was taking a photo that has to do with Lego and selfies. Instantly when i found out about the contest, i thought - what if i'd have my sigfig hold one of those "selfie sticks"? That idea turned into this MOC of a bedroom. There's more photos on my Flickr that depict the room without the figure and a zoomed out picture of the full MOC (seeing as this is a vignette). I hope you like it!
  5. Surprisingly much old minifigs at the swapping stand! I visited it three times today... Scored myself some old town figs and some space figs too. If you can't find any there, i'm sorry for taking them all :P I can confirm that the builds this year were of better quality, i really enjoyed most of them. Except for some usual MOCs such as a few train layouts that appear each year at Lego World, there were awesome MOCs and some of them were really mindblowing. Although there's no marketplace, the old minifigs made up for it a LOT.
  6. Oh? I didn't see that. I'll bring some other stuff then too, like some incomplete CMF's.
  7. Yeah, i've seen that picture already. I've also seen some posts on LowLUG that there were baseplates for just a few euros! Definitely checking it out, and i would've posted about this on LowLUG if it weren't for the fact that i'm sorta banned on there, heh. I'm also bringing about seven useless CMF's to check out the fig-swapping stand. Still though, that doesn't change that there's no marketplace. Old Lego > new Lego for me, so i'm still disappointed with that. If for whatever reason you'd want to talk with a fellow Lego fan, i look similar to my new sigfig here, minus the guns, plus an orange shirt instead of a red one (and my hair is a bit longer too maybe).
  8. Atleast there's a minifig swapping stand... i guess. I'm building up some of my CMF's to swap there. Besides, did you mean Tuesday instead of Thursday? Lego World ends on Wednesday...
  9. Maybe my last year too, dunno. I always liked the stands as well. Scoring that one old minifig for a few bucks always was more fun to come home with than a cheapy polybag in the goodiebags they give out. Still though, i've also heard that this year there's better mocs and less people stalling out their "private collections", seems interesting but i'll have to see for myself.
  10. So everyone's attending on Monday. Well, guess what... me too! I originally wanted to go on Sunday but due to various reasons it was more practical to go on Monday, so now i'm going with my dad. I've heard that this year and all the years after there won't be a marketplace, only the brick buckets and the Intertoys. I'm very disappointed by this, but what do you think?
  11. So why isn't there a topic about this yet? Thought i'd make it. Wouldn't know what to say though... um, discuss Lego World! Are you going? Are you displaying MOCS? Talk about it!
  12. Thanks!
  13. I'm not into Space that much yet, but it's definitely a cool theme. I have about one or two sets? One being the M-Tron Beacon Tracer and the other being a super tiny Mars Mission (i believe it was that?) impulse set. I do want to get into it, definitely. If with small details you mean the so-called "greebling", well i'm not too sure if that's able to be called detail at all. I mean, it's just adding a ton of random parts all around the model and then calling that something. I think the model is somewhat small for the price, really. I don't mean it's not awesome, because it definitely is! Probably gonna get it anyways, but still wanting to know some opinions.
  14. Yeah, i was thinking of getting one anyways. I think it's kinda pricey. You don't really need better photography skills, just a better camera. Phone cameras in general aren't good. The pictures you posted are very dark and grainy and the lighting isn't very well, but as i said, still a very great MOC!
  15. Oh? It works fine for me. Wouldn't know whats up with it, you'll probably find the article anyways if you search for Town Cars on Brickset.
  16. So i was thinking of getting an Exo Suit... but the price is kinda much, i think. €40 with shipping included. I'm more a fan of older lego, such as Town. What should i do? Is the Exo Suit worth the €40 it costs or should i rather spend that money on some old sets?
  17. Whow, you have so much of those!? I wish i only had one Exo-suit. Very nice and big, a shame the pictures are so bad.
  18. The Pet Shop was my first and only modular. Contains a lot of pieces, lots of detail, and a nice model in total. Grand Emporium is only one building, Pet Shop is two, making it probably a more exciting build. I say you should get the Pet Shop.
  19. Let's just bump this with some content, i want feedback! Porsche 911 GT by WoutStopmotion, on Flickr I've also built a fig for the car, shown here.
  20. Porsche 911 GT by WoutStopmotion, on Flickr Porsche 911 GT by WoutStopmotion, on Flickr Porsche 911 GT by WoutStopmotion, on Flickr http://brickset.com/...-Finishing-Line I was blown away on the design of the 911's in this upcoming set, so i built this Porsche, inspired by the set. More info and photos on Flickr. Enjoy!
  21. Just gonna bump this...
  22. I'm WoutStopmotion and i'm a TFOL from the Netherlands. My name obviously gives away that i like Brickfilming, although due to various reasons i haven't done a lot of films recently. I'm not much of a builder, mainly because i don't have a lot of pieces to build stuff (except for the ton of reddish brown and bley bricks in my Pet Shop, but building everything in those colours becomes highly repetitive ofcourse). I've started collecting old Lego, mainly Town, since not too long ago and i like doing set reviews of the sets i have (most notable being this article which i'm sure some of you have read). I'll also warn whoever reads this that i've been permabanned from two other Lego and Lego-related forums when i was younger and more immature. I'm also much of a critic - if i don't like something, i'm not afraid to say i don't like it. Some people think it's a problem. If i think something's really bad, i'll say it's really bad and some people easily get that confused with hate. I hope that's more or less accepted here :) Either way, hi!
