I was in the same boat as you were when I was ordering the bricks as the full LBG ones were really expensive so I decided to buy the black/LBG levers as the store that I was in had tons of them which they sell by the weight. And when I fixed it on on the Venator, I noticed that the black/LBG levers helped to bring out the "texture" of the greebling, instead of just a flat LBG. Thank you for that, H_Solo! It is definitely helpful to know the dimensions of the Hanger so that I can plan accordingly. I was initially thinking of a 100 x 100 cm square but I was unsure of the height as I do not want the height of the coffee table to be too tall and it cannot be too short, otherwise the MF cannot "swoosh" in. Can I please trouble you to help measure the size of the hanger entrance? I guess more planning is needed! :)

Hey H_Solo, do you have the dimensions of the entire hanger please? I am planning to custom make a coffee table to fit my 10179 and want to see if I can make it in the size that, if I do embark on this, the entire hanger could fit inside. Mucho thanks! :)

Thans BrickSev! Definitely used for the few sets that I am lacking, namely the 10129 Snowspeeder & 10030 ISD. Still unsure of 7194 Yoda & 10018 Darth Maul though... And I should be done with my UCS collection!

Even without the actual monsters, you could sense a feeling of fear from Anakin, Obi-Wan & Padme! I agree that the paw of the Nexu (?) is a bit overshadowed by the rest of the build, almost as though the creature has died and what's left of it in the scene is its paw...

The details on the Jedi speeder are really nice and the forced perspective shot does give the entire dirorama a sense of speed and danger! LOVELY!

the magnets are not too expensive... its the magnet holders (ID: 30159): http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=30159 Those are the killers and you can get different colours, not just tan, if there are any price differences!

I don't have any 6.6L bars at the moment, so instead of them bars, I used 2 LBG lightsaber bars instead. It solves the problem of that pesky ring on the bar and the stability of the radar isn't compromised that much.

Paid €2600 for a 2nd hand set... (please don't faint, guys...) I actually wanted to BrickLink it but since I got a small payout from some investments, I must as well bite the bullet and get one as I told myself that if I don't get it now, I don't think I will ever get it in the future...

Here's what I did with the limited bricks that I got on hand... I can't put the tan droid arms closer to the centre because there isn't enough space and it causes the 1x2 45degree slopes to bend inwards. Or maybe I did something wrong.. Can't wait for my 10179 to arrive though!! :(
