    After building Anio's Venator, I decided to tackle the ship that is the Venator fought against during Ep 3, the Invisible Hand! It is a bit easier to BL it as it has less than 1/3 the bricks, compared to the Venator, but it does have some interesting build techniques. So unfortunately, it is not of equal scale to the Venator but it is a lovely ship in its own right. So here it is! Micro MTT - a nice touch! As usual, this ship does come with certain bricks that are either expensive and/or are really difficult for me to find... like minifig hands etc... However, without those, it still doesn't distract from the beauty of the ship! On to the next!! :)

    Speechless! This is a really nice representation of C3P0. I wonder if I could use yellow bricks instead of gold chrome. :)

    Lovely!! I just collected my 2x 75082 and you have just about made me want to open mine up! :) I personally like how you used the DBG pieces to complement the grey colour of the cockpit, but maybe lesser DBG on the top and bottom? Also, what about changing the 1x2 grills on the wings to DBG as well? Beautiful! :)

    I tried finding a picture of a lego venator with red bridges but I can't seem to dig one up. Would love to see your take on the red bridges, CEI! :) I know I can't be the only one!! :)

    Just did a slight modification to the Venator once my Dark Red bricks came. Read about Obi-Wan Kenobi using Vigilance as his flagship during the final days of the Clone Wars and as a flagship, the twin bridges were painted red. So that was what I went for in this modification. I have not seen this mod done on Anio's Venator builds by others... but I may be wrong though. :) I also bought Obi-Wan Kenobi and a Clone Pilot to complete the "set". Hope you guys like it!

    So if I want to display Slave 1 on its stand, the acrylic case has to be bigger than 38 (L) x 20 (W) x 45 (H) cm (internal dimensions) Maybe a case's measurement of 44 (L) x 26 (W) x 51(H) cm (external dimensions) will do the trick, with the acrylic sheets being of 3mm thickness. @ GallardoLU: Much thanks for compiling it!

    Would anyone be kind enough to take the dimensions of the Slave 1 on its stand please? Am planning of getting an acrylic case made for it before I get the set. Much thanks!

    Pulled the trigger and bought a used Vader Tie Advance (10175) & a MISB Imperial Shuttle (10212). Ain't looking forward to my 1st credit card bill of 2015!! :(

    That's lovely. The mod that I did was to add 2 pieces of 4865 (Panel 1x2x1) to the bottom as seen in the photo. It helps to prevent the bottom plate ends to sag downwards and away from the centre spine! Trust this helps! Happy New year 2015 and happy bricking!

    No worries of the warping. I faced the exact same issue as well. Once when you fit the plates onto the bottom, the magnets will "straighten" out the warp. I also did a small mod to the tip of the ship to ensure that the tips of the bottom plates are closer to the centre spine, because I didn't want the tips of the bottom plates to point downwards.     Hello Bbafett! Awesome job so far! Anio's instructions have been great so far. You can find used Dark Red 2436 bricks on BL, really! I managed to grab a couple when I was sourcing for my Venator build. Just search for 2436 and not 2436b, and scroll through the list. Most BL sellers have 1 each only, unfortunately.

    I got to do what I got to do after the Lego bug bit me hard in the rear! :) Just started my collection in Aug this year and the sets keep piling up faster than I can build them!

    Hey Chills, you won't want to know... I am in Singapore and the prices of discounted sets are still more expensive than retail prices in USA! :(
