I know. The two Sand Troopers are too.

Finally got a 75028 for the Phase II Clone Trooper to complete a Trooper Evolution set. And a coupe of Sand Troopers to add for the droid search and Thi-sen who's at the cantina bar. I know he's hard to see, but it's this guy.

I think it would be really cool to see a Lego Trooper evolution pack. I currently have all but the Phase II Clone. still on the hunt for that one.

Back in the day, I used to put those plastic SW model kits together using glue! Ugh! I also had one of the old "classic" Lego brick sets with the large, multi-colored brick. Today, we have the best of both worlds. Models that we snap together without glue! I'm in my late 40s and love my SW Legos. My wife and daughter don't mind my hobby and I don't really discuss it outside the home. But it is nice to get a Lego set and spend time building. It gives me that nostalgic feeling of being a kid again. And I don't "play", just "display". I have a lots of other SW stuff but those things were just removed, or not removed, from a box and put on a shelf. I have more investment in the Legos that i just don't get with other things. So, at the end of the day it's just fun and nostalgic for me. I really don't care if anyone understands my hobby or not. It's for me and me alone.

The front half is really sturdy as you can see in the pic below. Notice the two black technic beams along with the gray technic bricks stacked on top. The only thing holding the back half onto the rest of the platform is two of these 1x4 swivel bases so it's a little more susceptible to coming off if picked up aggressively.

Thanks. Although it's not exactly round, it's still much better than half a set. I can't take credit for this MOD as I looked at what someone else had done and just put my own touch to it. Two sets is the way to go. Maybe one day I'll get a 3rd set and make it even better. .

Thanks! You should have an easier time with 3 sets. Post some pics when you're done.

Thanks!

Here's my crack at attaching two of the 75137 Carbon Freezing Chamber sets together. This was the best I could do with what I had and not being a very creative person, I think it turned out ok. Any feedback would be appreciated. This pic is with the back half not yet attached. On the left and right of the top platform you can see how the Carbonite stage is held up in place. Same view but with the Han in Carbonite fig in the lower position. The platform is just not tall enough for the Carbonite fig to go all the way down. It's not going any lower, but I just wanted to see if I could actually build in the play feature. This is going to be a display piece only so it doesn't really matter that much to me. Full view with the back half attached. Zoomed in shot on frozen Han with Fett looking on at his prize. Carbonite lift in the down position. Best I could do. Close up from the left side. From the right side. So that's it. Let me know what you think. I'm probably done with the exception of adding some additional figs in the future.

I was planning on passing up this set but being able to buy two complete sets for under $30, I couldn't pass it up. While I will not be able to make what the OP has, I will at least be able to merge two sets together and hopefully make it look whole. Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Fantastic! Much better than just the one, unfinished set! .

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars minifigures?
TK924 replied to Darthking623's topic in LEGO Star Wars
My favs in no order. Chrome Stormtrooper and Black Chrome Vader. I also like: - 501st Clone Trooper - Boba Fett - All other Imperial mini figs. . -
Ah, thanks for clarifying. Just like the Mos Eisley Cantina and Carbon Freezing Chamber. I bought two of Cantinas but doubt I will do this again with any other set. .

I may be wrong, but isn't that Leia to the left of the trans-blue piece? And, for me, there's not much "assault" going on in this set to justify calling it "Assault on Hoth". Only 2 Snowtroopers? How about at least having an AT-ST in there? It would have been a perfect opportunity to reveal a new, updated version IMHO. .

Sorry for your loss.

Nice! I like it! This should be a retail set. .

Nice display! I like the background choices and the Chrome Trooper and Black Chrome Vader. I have those too and they're my favs! .

Ah, I didn't realize. I guess all bootlegs aren't created the same. It would be cool to see a list of various bootleg brands and the quality rating for each. .

Here's a video review (not mine) on some of the latest BL figs. .

I didn't purchase that exact set but I did get two other sets that have some of the same figures in it. http://www.ebay.com/...LkAAOSwAKxWbiAu http://www.ebay.com/...mIAAOSwLN5WhKPq Overall I think that these are of great quality and price but I'm not too picky. Mine are just for display. .

It looks like the death star final duel set is starting to show up for sale on AE. http://m.aliexpress.com/search.htm?keywords=star+wars+10464 I've never ordered from AE before but I'm very tempted. For those that have ordered from AE, what has your experience been?

Did you find this on Aliexpress? If so, do you have a link?

I do feel weird sometimes but I think it's an internal struggle. I don't have many friends but most of them know that I'm a big SW fan. And smaller subset of them know I have a SW collection. I don't really broadcast my passion. SW has, and always will be, my friend. The friend that I can count on to keep me feeling the way I did back in 1977. .
